The confident pretty woman has a point. I don't know the product, but I'm inclined to believe it's good. Cursed be your unfair marketing strategies, she's just so confident and pretty that I want to believe her everything.
Love this device. Would like to see a V2 add a divot to route a headphone wire underneath, or possibly move it in between the line out and phones dials to plug it at a nice angle with the slant. The built-in DAC/Amp is pretty strong. Would love to see if it officially supports up to 250ohm, 300, 600, etc.
if I may give you a tip for the Roland Bridge Cast - Dual Bus Gaming mixer... First of all, it seems to be a great product, I actually do not doubt that in anyway, HOWEVER.. it would just be SO MUCH better if you had some more visual on the product, like some nice screens (or 1 big screen, like the rodecast) so you are not forced to look at the names for each dial, as you might not have your Microphone on "mic", I know.. you can change it and so, it doesn't matter what it says, but it's that sort of thing that makes people choose other products, because.. while I do not doubt that the Bridge Cast is an amazing product.. actually, I'd say it has 99% of what I've been looking for in a similar product, but I personally just want that more clean, user-friendly & visual aspect of being able to costumize it more, also since you actually allow for FX effects too.. like. I know the product is really new, but I hope you'll take this into consideration, maybe add some dedicated buttons for the FX/Midi etc. for a Bridge Cast 2 and if you do.. I'd honestly pick that over the rodecaster, go xlr, Stream Deck+, Beacn Mix Create and what else.. Because then you would more or less have the perfect products for gamers, streamers & content-creators in general. I know this mostly sounds like cristism, but I'm not going to say what I like about it, because there definitely is a lot I like about it, too many things to mention, so.. keep up the good work :)
agreed. My biggest issue with the device is that I don't want to adjust my mic that often, but I can't mute it if I set that mixer to chat or anything else. Seems like such a simple thing to add to the menu yet so frustrating. I only get to use 3 mixers lol
how were the gaming EQ preset settings derived and for which headphone have they been made for? The headphone you wear will have an equally large effect on the sound as these EQ settings Without knowing the headphone that the sound is going to be reproduced over, there's no way of knowing whether a certain frequency range is overrepresented or underrepresented. The EQ settings shown on the bridge cast seem to imply that e.g. for Apex you need 3 dB more energy at 1.2 kHz, but the fact is that individual headphones differ by much more than 3 dB among each other, so you can not possibly make a statement like "every headphone needs 3 dB more". For some headphones you'll need 3 dB, for others you'll need 1 or 6 dB. For others you may even need -5 dB.
@Derek xPaPaDx Frampton Professional audio out is always Balanced TRS, that is 2 1/4" TRS or 2 XLR. Trying to convert a stereo 3 wire to 2 separate mono outputs that are TRS is not possible unless you split the output and use a direct box for each channel. TRS is for audio noise cancellation and is not stereo as the other pin is sent with same signal out of phase. , even though a 1/8" 3 pole is wired like a single TRS, it is for stereo only. Plug that into an input expecting a TRS (mono, 3 pole) will produce real garbage. Roland is guilty of supplying unbalanced audio out on a lot it's gear.
Im using the line out to a my studio monitors using an adapter cable for 3.5 to two 6.35 trs connectors and I’m getting lots of random hum. It’s only when I’m playing a game tho, it’s almost like it’s picking up my gpu coil wine?? But on my headphone out it’s ok.
Is it possible to multitrack recording channels separately into my daw? I mean recording at the same time one track for the mic and one stereo track for my external instrument (keyboard) connected via aux input
Can I use this to send the stream sounds such as cheers and my stream deck sound clips to my console game chat? So whilst I'm streaming using a console to pc set up send the audio back to the console from the pc ? Making it a 1 mic and 1 headphone setup?
Will DSP settings be saved in hardware so that you can set it on one device using the Roland software, then have it applied on a different device without the Roland software? Also, how many bands is the EQ under the Mic Cleanup setting?
I wounder what is the dac in this, no info? for me its little low on output, and that with a headfhone at 35ohm, its high sound, but not to good, so noe im out off getting a amplifier to connect to headfhone out, and in to amplifier.
I'm not a Streamer but i'm looking for something that Can mix thé différents Windows audio source I.e. Discord, Game, Twitch , Spotify. Will this do the job ?
Does it have sub mixes and vst support? Having sliders for EQ control isn't useful to anyone when instead of granular frequency control. 3.5mm jack for headphones, is this 2010 calling.
Recently marketing interesting choices (on priced interface with DSP) - Lewitt Connect6 300 bucks - low dynamic range line output - 37 Ohm headphone output impedance, ok it doesn't drive well low impedance headphones, than it's good for high impedance yee? No, only 11 mw at 300 Ohm - Yamaha YG01 300 bucks - only-minijack line output - Apogee boom 300 bucks - you have to unplug the headphones to activate the speakers, the Headphone output it's smart placed on the back of the board... added with a noisy preamp. - Roland 300 bucks - Clearly gamer oriented and yes you can eq a game, but you do not have surround support. Again only minijack line output, because the smartest gamer spent 300 for an interface, 100/300 for a mic, 20 for speakers... and don't want headphone surround.
im guessing this wont work for us who have high end USB DACs also no trace of optical or even RCA... such a shame coz even tho this would be lovely to have i think my DAC has a hell of a lot better sound quality then this
I am thinking buying it, I have IEMs, but they have hissing / static background noise with Rode AI-1/Focusrite Scarlett due low impedance (FiiO FH3 with 24 Ohm). I am not sure if I would would have same issue with this device. Only other option is to use DAC's RCA out and use AUX as input. Sadly you lose most of features such as separate channel for game, voice chat and music (if you want to hear it during downtime and not when you play game), all three need to go through DAC. But on other hand you gain 2 extra channels for other use (alters, donations, whatever you can figure out). On second though, getting DAC with RCA input might work for me, but that counts being able to chose which mix goes to speaker output and it also being good quality for not wasting DAC's amp's capability.
I'am glad to see more manufacturers trying to capture the gaming/streaming space. But why are you purposely gimping your interface when it comes to I/O? Assuming the mic preamp and converters are decent it would be a no brainer if that thing had 2 pairs of TRS outputs (like almost any similar or lower priced interface at that size). But yeah sure lets use ONE aux out for speakers. Its not like an audio interface that is marketed directly to gamers/streamers would be connected to something that might cause interferences (like a gaming PC that draws 700 watts from the same power strip). And its not limited to Roland. All of them do some stupid sh*t like this. Roland BRIDGE CAST: + looks like solid build quality + useful control layout - pitiful connectivity Lewitt Connect 6: + above average connectivity (second usb input and they the gave us at least one pair of TRS out) + by far the best software among comparable devices as far as i can tell - very limited in terms of physical controls - glossy plastic build YUCK Yamaha ZG01: + interesting approach to connectivity (two HDMI inputs in addition to usb and aux, sadly no balanced output once again) + physical controls are good though some choices are questionable - solid but still plastic build (hey at least its not glossy) Why is it so hard to design a somewhat competent audio interface for gaming/streaming? The same manufacturers have no problem including these features in interfaces for music production which are cheaper. It's like they make the interns design these.

I'm using a sennheiser hmd 26-ii 600 ohm on this. Headphone boost 1 option pretty much solves all volume issues. It is a little quiet without.
