Number 8 is amazing! Spellblade builds are my favorite, and the only problem imo is the durability. That removes all the issues! Gonna try it out right now! Thanks Sheen
Another fun thing to try: cannon pistol with shatter bullet for both confusion and pain debuffs in one shot, then opportunist stab skill for massive damage. It can be a bit annoying to jeep swapping between pistol and dagger though...
Go "bonkers" or out of your way, explore glitchs, hacks, mods, exploits, paths, etc, dont challenge yourself or put a insane one on your head and finish the game. It's not endless but you have all the fredom.
Freedom is the biggest strength you have in Outward. Go where you want, use the items you want, and fight what you want. Or skip the enemies you don't want to fight lol.
One time i go with a very bad build, and arround 8 bandits... The royal manticore fuck all of bandits and me, and i woke Up on the manticore's cave ruined all my game
Its a bit less reliable because jinx can give you the same element over and over, but its super safe. Another nice thing is these hexes weaken the enemy to that element. So apply the fire hex and the obsidian bow deals a lot more damage.
Great vid. I was actually thinking of a few of these for a flamethrower focussed build - you read my mind! I'd definitely like to mess around with virgin weapons more
The rust enchant on the virgin lantern was particularly interesting. I think it did no damage but afflicted your enemy with a few different things. Pretty neat idea and the flame color is kinda cool as well.
Ah I will have to tell him you said this lol. Roki is a bit busier with IRL stuff than me unfortunanlty but I am sure he will be back on the channel eventually. We always get ourselves into some good messes lol.
Number 3 is fine but why not just use shield charge with fabulous palladium and then apply a doom hex? Does the same and you don't need to run around waiting for shield charge to cool down.
Ya that works really well too. I should have used the horror shield instead as an example. Because there you are weakening the enemy and then get from extreme poison after the second shield charge. Which will be buffed from the fabulous palladium. Its more for extended fights that you are having trouble with, and hexes are a sort of short cut to this which is also really nice.
After so many hours in Oldward and DE, I just spawn in all the necessary gear to experiment with builds nowadays. Then I just go to destroy everything, including arena bosses. Was shocked at how weird but good setups are there, so much fun.
Here is a checklist as well as a video explaining legacy chests: -faction quest -dungeon exploring -kill all unique enemies -finish Rust and Veangence in Harmattan (train dungeon) -Build New Sirocco in Caldera -Defeat arena bosses with your fully finished build -Legacy chest explanation: ua-cam.com/video/Bamez-5otrU/v-deo.html
I believe it only works now if you have the bow equipped. So you can't have a staff with this, but otherwise yes. Allows you to stay locked on even if enemies move around a lot. Pretty useful.
use a one handed sword with hex mage, the sword skill applies pain, and procing the pain hex does bleed, on one target you can get bleed, burning, and poison with any 1 handed sword
Here is a pretty good set up: Speedster Rogue Engineer Warrior Monk High stamina with infinite dodge rolls. Then you have prismatic flurry and some other attack skills if you need some more damage. Speedster is there because its probably best used with knuckles. They feel made for each other almost.
I explored the swamp once. Even went to enmerkar forest from the swamp without lowering the bridge by braving the water. It's pretty cool. I alowed ceirzo to die too. Call me trog spawn will you. See what happens.
I randomly stumbled upon the swamp idea a while back and just strolled around. It was super goofy but fun to mess around in water that should be killing me.
Very true, but some of the shields have other combinations of afflictions that might be more interesting. Like using the horror shield. It deals some nice decay damage.
UA-camrs make me feel so stupid for not knowing how to make character builds lol I watch these videos and i’m just sad I don’t know what’s happening most of the time but its cool!
There are so many small interactions in Outward that can make a build completely different. Bit its hard to know about them until you have tested the limits of each skill. Heck I learn new stuff every day lol
Great video! My build is based on number 8 right now, I'm really happy with the spellblade rune sage combination so far! I have yet to pick a third breakthrough skill, but I'm not really sure what it should be😅
Spellblade has always been a favorite of mine. The elemental discharge skill doesn't just deal damage, it deals impact. Which lets you throw and element and then run it to destabilize your opponent before they can recover. Pretty useful if you buff with the enrage boon before hand.
@SheenShots and here I was standing in front of the hunter trainer, wondering if rage boon can combine with any of my skills 😅 thanks for the tip, I'll get the rage boon next time I play!
He is more resistant to cold which was the element I was using. I only fought him in particular because I knew he wouldn't die instantly lol. The effect will stop if the enemies dies.
Number 8 is amazing! Spellblade builds are my favorite, and the only problem imo is the durability. That removes all the issues! Gonna try it out right now! Thanks Sheen
You can actually also use swords that have infinite durability like tsar weapons and also the radiant wolf sword
Iron sword enchanted with unsuspected strength is great as well.
Having that varnish always applied was the big thing for me. Really saves on mana and with some cooldown you can throw the lightning pretty quickly.
Another fun thing to try: cannon pistol with shatter bullet for both confusion and pain debuffs in one shot, then opportunist stab skill for massive damage. It can be a bit annoying to jeep swapping between pistol and dagger though...
That's my jam
Try Puncture into oppo stab with speedster and cd gear.

The most fun thing in outward is try to kill the royal manticore with a bandit legión follow us crossing enmerkal forest :D
One time i go with a very bad build, and arround 8 bandits...
The royal manticore fuck all of bandits and me, and i woke Up on the manticore's cave ruined all my game
I think the most fun thing to do in Outward is trying out a new build idea and beating the game with it.
New builds are epic. There are so many to make in Outward.
@@SheenShots have you thought of making a bow build yet?
This!!!
this was an unexpected and pleasant video. Nice one!
That's the funny thing about content creating, sometimes you make a video that you never expected to make just for fun lol
I was looking for a good bow build, gonna try the hex snipe
Awesome video, i love your content, continue like this !

3:56 the tongue was still sticking out. Cool.
They have such long tongues too which is really funny.
Thanks for the summary of builds Sheen! This will remind me of some very good ideas! I enjoy your videos. You’re always upbeat but I do miss Roki 😁
You guys make a great team!
Ah I will have to tell him you said this lol. Roki is a bit busier with IRL stuff than me unfortunanlty but I am sure he will be back on the channel eventually. We always get ourselves into some good messes lol.
Cool video!!! Didn't know about 7 and 8
Thanks!

i got some thinking in to number 8 there is as tree where you get cooldown reducten if the abillity is used 4 time so wouldnt it make it spammable
After so many hours in Oldward and DE, I just spawn in all the necessary gear to experiment with builds nowadays. Then I just go to destroy everything, including arena bosses. Was shocked at how weird but good setups are there, so much fun.
Just simply testing builds is insanely fun. I enjoy creating interesting an unique combinations even if they aren't all that optimized.
What is mana dispair on 8:13
Fun ideas, I would have called the second one Boon Boom Boxer though. 😄
If only I had thought of that!
@@SheenShots I thought that‘s why you had a discord, so you could exploit your community for great ideas 😄
Great video man!
Thank you very much!
I actually love the #3 option for sword&board build.
Just a little something to shack up the stab block gameplay.
Seeing hexes after finally looking into rune magic makes me feel like I made the wrong decision for my first playthrough lol
Question. How do i know that i finish the game like is the end of faction quest? Is some boss? And how do i start over with the legacy itens?
Here is a checklist as well as a video explaining legacy chests:
-faction quest
-dungeon exploring
-kill all unique enemies
-finish Rust and Veangence in Harmattan (train dungeon)
-Build New Sirocco in Caldera
-Defeat arena bosses with your fully finished build
-Legacy chest explanation: ua-cam.com/video/Bamez-5otrU/v-deo.html
Wait. So you mean the sniper passive in vanilla that worked with staves and magic STILL work with magic in DE if you use a bow?
I believe it only works now if you have the bow equipped. So you can't have a staff with this, but otherwise yes. Allows you to stay locked on even if enemies move around a lot. Pretty useful.
use a one handed sword with hex mage, the sword skill applies pain, and procing the pain hex does bleed, on one target you can get bleed, burning, and poison with any 1 handed sword
One other thing I like to do in Outward is cosplay build.
Basically making a build based on enemies or npc in the game! It's kinda fun
Playing as one of the nobles form Caldera is pretty fun. You have some nice resistances and they use odd weapons you might never use otherwise.
@@SheenShots It ain't Outward without some fashion sense
I want to start a fist build but I don't know which skill tree to take because it looks fun to use those types of weapons
Here is a pretty good set up:
Speedster
Rogue Engineer
Warrior Monk
High stamina with infinite dodge rolls. Then you have prismatic flurry and some other attack skills if you need some more damage. Speedster is there because its probably best used with knuckles. They feel made for each other almost.
good job, greetings from Poland!
Thank you! Much love to you in Poland!
Can you do a video on astral weapons by chance?
This is a good suggestion. They are a very unique and odd weapon type.
Good video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
number 3 is just as easy and more useful/faster with doom hex instead of using a seperate shield and waiting on a CD
Very true, but some of the shields have other combinations of afflictions that might be more interesting. Like using the horror shield. It deals some nice decay damage.
My favourite is to roll around with code sonic or kill things with a tsar claymore
Tsar claymore does hit like a truck. Hard to beat it.
UA-camrs make me feel so stupid for not knowing how to make character builds lol I watch these videos and i’m just sad I don’t know what’s happening most of the time but its cool!

@@SheenShots it’s amazing how much content this game offers with so few developers. It’s hands down my favorite game second to the legendary skyrim.
The dacay waterwalking was first thing i did in my first run in Monsoon .
Plot twist: i had no decay resistance and i coudnt find city 🤣🤣🤣
LOL without the resistance that story has a different ending 😂
Great video! My build is based on number 8 right now, I'm really happy with the spellblade rune sage combination so far! I have yet to pick a third breakthrough skill, but I'm not really sure what it should be😅

Extremely early gang! B)))
Nice 👍
So fight, fight and fight again? I was expecting something different
Try to finish faction quest with only pouch inventory,no backpacks.
No
A true scavenger of the world. Only able to carry the bare essentials unless you make that endgame pilgrim set
The absolute pain. Worse than a trog playthrough lol.
Such a simply and elegant answer lol
Prismatic flurry... tower shield bandit still alive. ... I'll pass.
He is more resistant to cold which was the element I was using. I only fought him in particular because I knew he wouldn't die instantly lol. The effect will stop if the enemies dies.
