I tell you, I'm appreciative that you made this video. I recently bough a 2008 r56. The driver window was playing up even in the test drive but I thought I'd take it on anyway. I ordered a motor from a spares merchant and found your video. Trouble is, it turned out I'd ordered the motor for the WRONG SIDE! No matter.... As I figured the issue wasn't mechanical but within the motor itself, I hucked out the motor, windings, armature and all, and swapped them over. Happy to say it works just fine now. And it all took me less than an hour and a half, including all the messing about with the motor! Thanks for your help!
The window on my 2008 r55 has stopped working. You can hear the motor working, but the window doesn't go down. The window is stuck in the fully closed position. What do you think could be the issue? Thanks.
Your thumb nail showed the whole thing off the door, was hoping to see that. I'm trying to replace a broken door glass... Got the whole panel un bolted and still doesn't make sense how I swap the glass. Dumb these German cars, gana stick to Japanese.
