Great video mate I totally agree the cost of housing in the uk has gotten out of the control. If I were you I’d head to a warmer climate in the winter though, the van must get cold!
We feel for you. One of us lived in a Ford Escort for 6 months back in the early 00's after our marriage collapsed. We have watched a few of your videos now and subscribed to watch your progress. It's not easy and we know finances are hard but please try and get yourself a bigger van. It wiĺ make life so much easier for you. Just having a bit of headroom will make a difference. Then get yourswlf a Chinese diesel heater sorted. Cheap to run and having heat dueing the next few months will make you so much more comfortable. Good luck and look after yourself.
Tinned food too is ace to have on board, no fridge needed . Lots of decent food, wild salmon, sardines, lentils, chic peas ,veg., ham, chicken. Good stand by
Hi Rob another great video m8. Thanks for sharing with us your evening routine. Once you manage to get yourself a bigger van m8 that will be a gamechanger. Stay safe and God Bless.
Always carry a large neck bottle for an ensuite to save getting out of the van in the night. Lidl liquid detergent bottles are good, got a handle and are opaque so it's not obvious it's full of pee .
There's a channel called 'Static Campervan' on UA-cam, he's got a van about the same size as yours that he's lived in for over eight years. He absolutely loves it and he's not bothered about getting a bigger van. He cooks in it also. Great advise as always mate.
There's sooo many vans in and around Plymouth that i see all the time and only really noticed them once i started watching van life videos haha. If that's your regular park up im sure i have passed you numerous times, will keep an eye out now, enjoying your channel 👍
@@M1KEEC thanks mate 🙏🏼 I’m the same. Didn’t notice how many vans were actually out there until I started. There are so many. Yeah I use that one a lot
I think there is over a million people doing van life mate, 90% dont want to do social media and just get on with it, i recon its only to get more popular
What do you do of an evening to keep yourself entertained? Hopefully you'll get some ad revenue come in and can get yourself a portable power bank bluevetti or whatever they are called pricey though £800ish. For me i'd have to throw in a tv and xbox or something as well as half decent internet. But those are luxuries that can wait. Props to you mate braver than me i did consider it but currently stuck in a loop of debt that i need to get out of before i can look at vans :)
I either go to the gym or summertime a walk or I can watch a movie or UA-cam etc on my mobile device or laptop. Even play a game. Usually in bed by 10ish
@@foreverirish132 I have about a third of a garage I keep the bike in but on all honesty there is nothing much more I need other than what I can fit in the van 😊
How come everyone cry abaut everything money, nhs, crimes ............. i see 90 % cars less than 5 years old McDonald's always full restaurant's full shops full ??
People are being pushed to by new cars they cannot afford. McDonald’s is now extremely expensive and they put it up knowing a lot of us don’t have the time to make meals at home. Most town centres now are heavily dilapidated, empty units with a big homeless problem with people sleeping in the doorways. Local councils do nothing but push up parking prices! I live in what was once a thriving holiday destination that is now a ghost town.

Another great video 🙌. Living a simpler life without all the household clutter is definately my kind of living ❤
Absolutely! Simple life is a calmer life

Thank you so much. It is getting colder that’s for sure. I do have plans to go bigger. It’s just deciding on what that looks like. ❤️

Great video Rob. Perhaps as time goes on you could do one on how much you're saving with not paying rent on a monthly basis - just an idea💡

Just wondering do you have a storage unit for some of your things or would you be a minimalist? 😊 thanks
