I believe it's an injustice that this show isn't on EVERYDAY! We desperately need it as a country. I'm talking to you CBS! Get some of your people that aren't handicapped like me and get the ball rolling forever! Please! This is such a strong example of awesomeness!
I can understand why these segments are used as teaching tools in classrooms - this and the other attributes seem to have faded from our society over the past few generations, replaced with their opposites - injustice, entitlement, cruelty, etc. I think, besides illustrating justice, this segment also taught us about being aware and inquisitive. Thanks for sharing and including an update.
Great story and I love her statement at the end “if you don’t try that’s at least one outcome that’s been decided.” If we all feel that way just think of the overwhelming amount of injustice we would be surrounded by. I think it’s safe to say we are already choking on it. I pray we don’t ever get to the place that the word justice is another word for apathy!
I remember when I was young I was so kind and soft spoken. The other kids bullied me to the point I became depressed. I thought the whole world was mean and I was a misfit.
I hope that our depression has been smashed and is no longer keeping you from being what God has created you to be. If it is alright with you, I would like to pray for you.
Gail, Steve has 2 sons. I thought it very inconsiderate of you to say he was with his favorite son. The word "favorite" should have been omitted for both introductions.
Great segment, although I couldn't help notice that before the girl began her interview, Gayle King felt it important to remark about her appearance (clothing). The child wasn't there to have her appearance assessed. Her body language even showed that Gayle's remark was unexpected. When will we stop relating to female children by the way they look, and focus on (and honor) what they bring to the table?

How ironic would it be if one day Steve passed the torch of "On the the road" to his son?
I need to meet Sara myself
Sarah for the first female president.

Keeping it real: Steve Hartman has never done a story on injustice to gay people or kind gay people or athletic gay people. Nope. Never.
Oops Gale...he has another son 😉
Ooooo... Don't SH's colleagues know that he has TWO sons?!? Kinda thoughtless to call Emmett SH's favorite son.
G✌🏿💞🌎💞✌🏼G
Steve, I think your son takes the good looks from your wife.
Cringe. Steve has two sons. 😮
Come on CBS! 🥲 Go, Sara!
