I'm a journalist that was there. When they saw me coming up with the camera, Capitol Police fired a gas round that missed my camera and face by inches.

I had this fight with my wonderful wife years ago, she honestly thought a cop died by having his head bashed in with a fire extinguisher, I challenged her to show me the footage, and she was unable to do so. She still hates Trump, I can't do anything about that. But I've shown her footage of Trump picking up a Black Marine's cap, and hugging a Hispanic woman who was thanking him for her son's college scholarship. All she could say was "I still hate him".

The J6ers are in a unique position to sue those that voted for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and January 6 Congressional Committee for Civil Rights abuses denying those jailed a right to a speedy trial. Sovereign immunity of those voting for the NDAA and Committee members should be withdrawn as they failed to abide by their oath, a verbal contract, to uphold the US Constitution. Congressmen voting for the act and anyone involved in keeping the J6ers in jail without a speedy trial should be sued for everything they have to include their pensions. This is an opportunity for the J6ers to become multi-millionaires and do away with the NDAA.

Congress can remove the Civil Right of Habeas Corpus (right to a speedy trial by a jury of the accused peers) guaranteed in the Constitution only by a Constitutional Amendment as was done to make alcoholic drinks illegal by the 18th Amendment. Congress cannot legally pass a law that contradicts the US Constitution as they did with the NDAA which removes habeas corpus when a citizen is declared a terrorist . The ability to declare a US citizen a terrorist and deny them a trial is completely unconstitutional. Officials give an oath to uphold the US Constitution. Here they broke that verbal contract. Officials to include Congressmen should not maintain their immunity when they failed to uphold the Constitution. This has nothing to do with Trump. He probably wouldn't approve as he is supportive of immunity.

they had an intention, they had no plan. They went to the capital to protest not to break in and stop the vote count. there were a few who may have had that plan, but it was the decision of the house speaker to reject offers of more police and national guard, it was the woman in charge of the police who decided to burry the intel warning about these bad actors that alowed them to succede. there were also many FBI agents who contributed to the chaos and violence. There were no police deaths as a result of injuries on jan 6. It is not that the incident was not bad and people deserved to go to prison for, it is that the left and the legacy media have exagerated and used what happened. When you look at Pelosi's and the police and FBI behavior, I conclude this was a false flag operation.

But let's see... I argue that we should NOT support Trump. I contend that Trump is a liar. Let me explain why. Trump has claimed for three years now that the election was rigged and stolen; he has repeatedly claimed to have proof. And yet, three years later, he has not released any such evidence.
Evidence to support my statement: Trump told the (Republican) election officials in Georgia that he had information that proved he had really won the state of Georgia by 400,000 votes. You can listen to this call to verify that statement. (By the way, when the officials said they had asked Trump's people for the information but still had not received it, Trump did not stop to say, "I'm sending it to you right now.")
Also, back in August, Trump announced that the following week he would release IRREFUTABLE evidence that the 2020 election was rigged; within 48 hours, he backtracked... for some reason, it made more sense to withhold that information until trial (one of the very trials that Trump wants dismissed; so, he claims to have exculpatory evidence, he wants the trial ended, and yet he won't produce the evidence that could end it). You can look up and read Trump's announcement and retraction to verify that statement.
Let's remember that, in the months after the 2020 election, over 60 cases challenging the election results were brought before courts in jurisdictions throughout the U.S. All but one of those cases was immediately tossed out due to "lack of evidence." Many of these cases were heard by judges that Trump appointed. (The one case that proceeded did amount to much of anything.)
These things would seem to indicate one of two things:
1) Trump is a liar, and he has no such evidence. He just wants to regain power.
2) Trump is a fool because he has held onto the evidence, even though it would have reinstated him as president. Plus, such evidence would have closed two of the criminal cases against him (cases he wants dismissed).
Regardless of which option is accurate, I argue that the people of the United States should not support either a LIAR or a FOOL.
Do you agree with my conclusion? And if not, why not? Thanks, and I look forward to an open-minded discussion about a political topic. There aren't many of them these days.
