He was delaying concession to prematurely certified election results without the ballots being counted. We usually have a concession before 10 o'clock on the day of the election. It is not possible to know real election results by this time. The representative from California explained how the electoral college met prematurely without the absentee ballots being counted.

Its meant as an executive check against the Judicial branch. In the past, its been seen as political suicide to issue pardons in your own defense. For much of our history, this norm has been followed. But for whatever reason (cult), Trump isn't held to (or just simply ignores) the same standard.

These confirms that people who seek an elected position should have an extensive education of how the government works! There is no requirements for the most important jobs in our country! That being the Presidency, Congressional and Judicial! Criminal backgrounds is another thing. These people were being schooled or trained on the job over four years after serving in congress in 2016! Our constitution does not have qualifications required for running for office because i assume when our Constitution was written in 1776, for thirteen colonies and the population was farmers, land owners and i am sure no experts on governmental studies! Our country has had Presidents with a minimum of study from the beginnings and much more congressional people with college degrees , Recently. A few presidents have demonstrated the lack of education and have appeared comical but this 2016 election brought us more then comical and vulgar people, , it has turned very dangerous for our county and its citizens! The insurrection has threaten our feelings of well being, insecurity assurances that we will wake up in our homes and most important that our children are safe in school, and are getting the best education to graduate and have good careers, and most important that they will be home safely when school ends ! All those feelings and wishes we took for granted are in jeopardy because of one uneducated man that believes he is the son of God and has power to stay in office for the rest of his life! Sad part that a good majority in congress believe it also! Real Americans expect it and need a change! Maybe with Amendments to our Constitution ! Lawyers need eight or more years, teachers also need as much doctors need extensive fifteen and more years of education to take care of sick people, but our leaders can run for office with an eighth grade education and Ged! THERE WAS NO "INSURRECTION".
The 1887 Electoral Count Act was Constitutionally clear in 2020,/2021 the vice president reserved the right NOT to certify the votes and to send the votes back to the states, then back to congress for a final vote. There was no "insurrection" at all considering that there are 360+ million legal gun owners in The United States of America and not one citizen at the Capitol Building had a weapon.
