thanks for making this :D 💘 i'm in the uk and bought my first figure from 'TokyoToys,' which is a reseller of real and counterfeit anime merch, i'm almost certain that my figure is genuine but after seeing some comments about fake figures im hesitant to buy from them again. they have a shop in glasgow and birmingham for anyone else who is interested but i might need to put more research into differentiating between real and fake. being a newbie is kind of overwhelming and i wish there were more genuine resellers in the uk (maybe there are, i don't know). i might wait until i go back to the PH and order from the sites you've suggested! 💕
Hi Joanna! It's very nice to actually have a physical shop selling figures accessible near you. It is indeed good to differentiate fake from authentic so you won't be wasting money with real prices tagged on fake ones. Is kurogami or Amiami not doable to you? 🤔

I have to thank you on your advice. I tried to spend $45 dollars on a figure from Amazon, and didn’t realize the manufacturer was incorrect. I was super desperate for the koumajou densetsu (Touhou project) Remilia Scarlet. However, considering how much they actually go for, I’m glad it was only that much. I’m getting everything from Tokyo otaku mode now lmao. I am a bit saddened that I’ll probably never get the Remilia figure since those are long gone, but I’m forever gonna save up and preorder everything. Maybe one day it’ll be restocked (I’ll keep my hopes up) but until then, I’ll get whatever comes out from this point forward since I’m only interested in those particular figures.

It took a lot of search and sacrifice but since these are the only figures I ever wanted, I believed it was alright to do my best to get them all. I have Remilia Scarlet and Sakuya Izayoi. And QuesQ awhile back announced their Reimu Hakueri figure, which I recently preordered! I admit that I lucked out finding all three of them and being able to purchase them all. But your guidance helped immensely, and I appreciate you taking the time to educate me on where to get these figures. So thank you! :)
I would recommend Dekaianime for UK figure collectors, if they don't know about it already. They're very reliable selling legit figures, and sometimes they deduct percentages off their figures. Also, they deduct a further 10% off preorders if you choose to pay immediately instead of when the figure releases. For example, I preordered a Fushiguro Megumi from Jujutsu Kaisen figure made by Taito that was originally £29.99 and it had a discount on it already taking it down to £19.99, but because I preordered and paid straight away, I got it for £17.99 instead! I can't wait for it to arrive at the end of this May!

One danger with Amazon is that new sellers can hijack the listing by offering the “same item” and use it to sell bootlegs. Always check carefully what shop you are buying from on Amazon.

Hi Leone! here's an UPDATE! I recently asked Onegai Onii-chan and they currently stopped accepting proxies for AMIAMI. Idk when they will bring that back. Also, i found another cheap Japan proxy shop on FB! Just search Money Hayst. Altho they sell figures in low prices, they deliver it outside the boxes so you can have lesser shipping. Also, they have order batches that takes a bit long. So better take that into account as well ^_^

I only own 2 as of now. Naruto and Minato. So far. They look okay but honestly, I'm pretty much disappointed. I already have Giyu on the way and ordered Rengoku and Shinobu despite that tho since I wanna give them a chance. Mainly frustrated because of the promotional photos. Personally I believe Mandarake is a great place to buy figures from. The prices are competitive and there are a lot of pre owned figures there. I just didn't include them in my recommendations because honestly until now, i still think their website is confusing or not user friendly. Regardless, definitely a better place than Solaris. You're right with Solaris being expensive but you can never buy any counterfeits from there 💯👌

Original Hatsune figures can be bought from all the shops I mentioned. I have never bought directly from TAITO so IDK how to purchase from their shop or if they have an online shop. Other Miku figures are hard to find tho since they get sold out easily. So you have to be attentive during pre order period because there might not be a chance to buy the figure after the official release. If you live in the Philippines you could find a lot of shops selling Miku figures however I cannot help you further if you live in another country, I'm sorry

Hi! Unfortunately I don't collect any Food wars anime figure so I don't follow their figure releases or scour the internet for pre owns. I know this figure tho. However, I believe it's sort of rare nowadays, thus the price. But I think it would be best not to purchase thru eBay especially if it's not from an official seller that's partnered with Goodsmile or with any manufacturer infact. I'm afraid you might buy a bootleg with a very expensive price tag. If you can, try and look for it over Amiami or Mandarake. You might have a chance to see her there but with a little bit lesser amount.

A good shop would always be Amiami. Look for your desired figure in their pre owned figures. BUT! the one you're looking for is not easy to look for. 1. I can't guarantee you see a cheap one. Haikyuu has a big fan base and they always get sold out after every release especially nendos. 2. Fan girls always dive into buying their figures so it's also a reason why it's hard to find 🥺🥺
I do stumble on their pages a lot when scrolling over Facebook however, I have not tried buying anything from their shops yet so I did not include them in my recommendations. 😊
Unfortunately idk if Geekloveph is legit however I think waifunotameni is. Although compared to the shops I mentioned, some of their anime merch are a bit more expensive

If you purchased from Amiami, Solaris Japan, yes. If purchased from the recommendations I shared from the Philippines, I don't think so. They don't ship overseas. Kurogami also ships only to EU and US.
It depends. Usually fakers don't declare the manufacturers but it gets really tricky when they do. I can't say for sure but if you really insist on buying from Amazon, it's always best to check all the photos from the first to the last. Check the comments, ratings and feedback photos or videos as well. There are some figs that usually cheap and they're call prize figure. Taito is one of manufacturer of such prize fig. Even tho prize figs are cheap, some of from those line are good and in-par with scaled fig.

Personally I believe Mandarake is a great place to buy figures from. The prices are competitive and there are a lot of pre owned figures there. I just didn't include them in my recommendations because honestly until now, i still think their website is confusing or not user friendly. Regardless, definitely a better place than Solaris. You're right with Solaris being expensive but you can never buy any counterfeits from there 💯👌

Original Hatsune figures can be bought from all the shops I mentioned. I have never bought directly from TAITO so IDK how to purchase from their shop or if they have an online shop. Other Miku figures are hard to find tho since they get sold out easily. So you have to be attentive during pre order period because there might not be a chance to buy the figure after the official release. If you live in the Philippines you could find a lot of shops selling Miku figures however I cannot help you further if you live in another country, I'm sorry

Hi! Unfortunately I don't collect any Food wars anime figure so I don't follow their figure releases or scour the internet for pre owns. I know this figure tho. However, I believe it's sort of rare nowadays, thus the price. But I think it would be best not to purchase thru eBay especially if it's not from an official seller that's partnered with Goodsmile or with any manufacturer infact. I'm afraid you might buy a bootleg with a very expensive price tag. If you can, try and look for it over Amiami or Mandarake. You might have a chance to see her there but with a little bit lesser amount.

A good shop would always be Amiami. Look for your desired figure in their pre owned figures. BUT! the one you're looking for is not easy to look for.
1. I can't guarantee you see a cheap one. Haikyuu has a big fan base and they always get sold out after every release especially nendos.
2. Fan girls always dive into buying their figures so it's also a reason why it's hard to find

for buying anime figures from amazon if the manufacturer says "Taito" then is it safe to buy? or should I just cross out amazon completely
It depends. Usually fakers don't declare the manufacturers but it gets really tricky when they do. I can't say for sure but if you really insist on buying from Amazon, it's always best to check all the photos from the first to the last. Check the comments, ratings and feedback photos or videos as well. But if you can NOT buy from Amazon it would be much safer to buy from official partnered shops like Amiami or Solaris Japan.

There are some figs that usually cheap and they're call prize figure. Taito is one of manufacturer of such prize fig. Even tho prize figs are cheap, some of from those line are good and in-par with scaled fig.

Hi Kyla~ sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, shopee only works for people who live in the Philippines. If you're not living within the country, you can't use it. They don't ship internationally. That's why I divided the video with shops for Filipinos first then shops for the international viewers. Shopee is like an Amazon something like that.
