I have much nostalgia with gatchas~ I used to see them everywhere growing up in Japan and I remember doing Pokémon ones when I had a chance to, but personally my favorites are scaled figures. The details they have with the characters and just seeing them come out strait from the anime or manga they’re from just makes me happy ^.^

@@JennySupremo yessss, I grew up in Japan and left around 4th grade. Since my form of entertainment was pretty much anime (especially keroro and Pokémon), it made me love figures even more. I love 1/7 scaled figures too! They always seem to fit right in and they just look nice. I don’t mind 1/6 scale either depending on the quality.

Have you heard about Pokémon rements? They are so adorable 💞 they would look so good with your old Pokémon collection--i think. I wish we also had gachas from where I live. I mean legit anime related gachas atleast. Our malls only has Hasbro gachas and bootleg anime gachas. 😭😭
I bought my first 2 anime figures yesterday and they were Q Posket of Tanjiro. I like them because they fit my budget and don't take a lot of space. Plus they are so gosh darn cute. I love the details in them and the chibi aspect

If you do, you can also elaborate on nendoroid dolls and that you can make even make your own with the regular nendoroids you have by putting the head on a nendoroid archetype or obitsu11 doll :) There are so many cool clothes and accessories people make/sell for them too. I'd go for the Nendoroids; those things are so cute and adorable! And Figma too; I love posing and playin' around with them. Best thing is that they can crossover with other 1/12 scale figures (Star Wars The Black Series, S.H Figuarts, etc.). ^^ Edit: Yes please, do a video about Nendoroids only.

I recommend not getting heavy and bulky Anime figures if you have babies and kids around or if you don't have good storage! I have a 2 year old in my house and a resin statue falling on her WOULDENT be good for my sis neither for my statue lol

Ball jointed dolls are actually, in my opinion, more doll related because of how they can pose in different ways, have hair like other types of dolls and wear different clothing too. It’s mainly the style of their face sculpt and face up, plus the type of fashions, that make them in my opinion fall into the anime figure category of toy collecting. Also it’s specific ball jointed dolls too that have the specific style of face sculpt and face up, because there’s other doll types that are considered to be ball jointed because of how much articulation they have but that doesn’t mean they are the same as the dolls you’re talking about.

I collect scale and prize figures mainly. I'd suggest prize figures for ppl that are new to collecting because it's better to find out if it's for you spending $25 for a figure vs spending $100+ on a scale. I mean I bought a scale figure as my first sooo yeah lol. Also Funko Pops creep me out with their beady little eyes lol.
Finally said it. Haha. I can't seem to stand walls of Funko pops near the bed. Just staring at you. With their blank expression. And fully blacked or just dot like eyes. Makes me feel like a character from a Tim Burton's movie is watching me sleep 🤣🤣
I love complete figures because they're very quality and big. But I would recommend prize figures because they're cheap, big and nice. Atm some prize figures have better quality than complete figure's (SQ series Bandai prize figures for example). I have SQ series Madoka and figure is painted very clearly, the paint never gets out of the edges, and on the chest it is encrusted with a transparent piece of plastic. Bandai's Espresto series also very good. It would be nice if you made video about types of prize figures (From slot machines with a claw, ichibans, noodle stoppers etc.) and about their manufacturers.

there is also the lottery prize figures called ichiban kuji or ichibansho where we basically draw tickets to win prizes from big figurines to small prizes like arcylic standees, badges etc.. i personally collect everything mentioned in the vid except gk, dolls and action figures.. and yeah while i agreed that funko pops are pretty ripped off considering the size and everything but pops really save a lot of space plus the resell value is higher than the rest of its kind so i guess thats probably the reason why most people likes to collect them haha

Haha! This is a struggle almost all figure collectors can relate! Space is such a problem when collecting these things esp since they also sometimes come in big boxes. Happy for you tho you already have shelves! Did you get the book shelves or you went straight to glass cabinets?
planning on getting azenitsu nndroid on amazon, but I was worried about the prices ranging higher from 60$-70$ and possibly higher, but turns out my boy was on sale on 35$ (Original price being 69.99$) and its a real nenderoid. Love my boy zenitsu, easily my fav naime character. Thanks for advice.
i own like, a dozen or more funko pops but id rather much have like, real figures since im an anime fan, the only two figures i own are the "cardcaptor sakura qposket" that yellow one, and a one punchman fig with a metallic painted suit. im stilll young and i dont get allowance so getting a figure is so hard for me, this video helped tons !!

Toradora is an old anime so I think there were figures released. I think Taiga had a nendoroid. Recently, she had this figure themed as a bride/ wearing a wedding gown and I absolutely think she looks stunning. 👌

Prize figures are definitely budget friendly compared to other anime figure types. So for most of us including the students, it's such a good choice (which i'm pretty thankful for. Scaled figures are pain to buy most of the time since they're pricey ┗( T﹏T )┛) Keep that love for anime figures burning Nachan!

It's usually indicated along with the character name of the figure. It has the character name and then they declare it's an OC by (artist) whoever made the character 👌🏻
Too far down the rabbit hole my friend haha! I guess best way to navigate is thru reselling. Then funnel your liked series or characters and just buy those instead. Not like I'm one to talk too since I also bought figures that I regret haha!
If you planning to have funkpops, please keep them in the boxes or keep the boxes (you don't have to) I have this miku funk pop and her pigtails constantly break possibly from the being too long and from having to balance the figure. Mind you she's from 2017 so her might be weaker (?) So I might find one with a box
You would be my savior if you could help with my dilemna : most of the figures I'd like to have are of not-known series or are not findable on trusting sites. Do you maybe have a tip to find uncommun figures without having to sell your house or fear for your life ?

What uncommon figures are you trying to buy Satsuki? *Insert smug face* If you can sell atleast your kidney, you could probably find the figures you're looking for at Amiami,Mandarake or Solaris Japan. 3 sites selling pre owned figures too so there's a chance you could find these mysterious figures you're looking for 😏 or may I suggest custom made if it's a specific character you're trying to find and there are not much figures made out of it. 1. You could buy pre painted nendoroid dolls and empty nendoroid faces and just do the decorating by yourself. Luckily, they offer a wide selection of skin tones. Or 2. Look for people who make custom made polymer clay figures. They are much cheaper but it's more cheap when you learn and do it. Someone actually suggested in my comment section that 3d printing should also be considered but I can't confirm that idea yet since I haven't tried that. Other than that, I don't think I could help anymore. 🤣 Atleast your house is safe

Hey, thanks for so many options! :) but i am wondering something, im really new to this whole thing and the only figure i have is a easter egg themed miku off AliExpress since thats all I can afford as a 17 yo 🥲 so my question is, even tough its from AliExpress and most likely not a authentic one, does it still count as part of the anime figure collection if thats all i can afford?
OFCOURSE! authentic or not, it's still a kind of anime figure. If money is an issue, I don't think it's something to be ashamed of. Buying a fake I mean. If the figurine makes you happy, then that's what matter most 😉 although I'd rather advice to save up money and patiently wait than to buy bootlegs. We don't know if the materials they use are toxic and they honestly don't last very long.
There is nothing wrong with starting your figure collection journey through buying counterfeit figures. I started collecting those and I then bought few original prize figures. Now I am not going back to those bootleg figures because prize figure quality far exceed those. Additionally believe me buying one original quality figure feels much better than buying multiple bootleg figures. So start with prize figures and when you can afford, move on to scale figures if you wish. Additionally, look up amiami preowned section to get cheaper scale figures.
ATM I can't recommend a shop. But hey, here's what can help you. Go to Goodsmile company official website, look for store locator and click it. Try and look for your country and see if there are shops officially partnered with Goodsmile. If ever there's one, there's a big chance they also sell other figures. Best of luck buddy

Prize figures are cheaper figures with medium to low quality features. They're still considered scaled figures actually since well, they have different sizes. Tho they are more known or called as "prize figures". Scaled figures are known to be high quality with medium to high price tags. They can be bought but they can't be found or get through claw machines or crane games. Its the best comparison I think. I hope it makes sense 😭

I love complete figures because they're very quality and big. But I would recommend prize figures because they're cheap, big and nice. Atm some prize figures have better quality than complete figure's (SQ series Bandai prize figures for example). I have SQ series Madoka and figure is painted very clearly, the paint never gets out of the edges, and on the chest it is encrusted with a transparent piece of plastic. Bandai's Espresto series also very good. It would be nice if you made video about types of prize figures (From slot machines with a claw, ichibans, noodle stoppers etc.) and about their manufacturers.

there is also the lottery prize figures called ichiban kuji or ichibansho where we basically draw tickets to win prizes from big figurines to small prizes like arcylic standees, badges etc.. i personally collect everything mentioned in the vid except gk, dolls and action figures.. and yeah while i agreed that funko pops are pretty ripped off considering the size and everything but pops really save a lot of space plus the resell value is higher than the rest of its kind so i guess thats probably the reason why most people likes to collect them haha
i love the scale figures but now i only have 13 nendoroid petits, 1 green miku, and 3 funko
If anyone is looking for a good type of BJD I recommend Smart doll. They are 1/3 and come in a good variety of skin tones and hair. And are priced around 500-600$. I have 3 of them currently and I’m obsessed

Haha! This is a struggle almost all figure collectors can relate! Space is such a problem when collecting these things esp since they also sometimes come in big boxes. Happy for you tho you already have shelves! Did you get the book shelves or you went straight to glass cabinets?
planning on getting azenitsu nndroid on amazon, but I was worried about the prices ranging higher from 60$-70$ and possibly higher, but turns out my boy was on sale on 35$ (Original price being 69.99$) and its a real nenderoid. Love my boy zenitsu, easily my fav naime character. Thanks for advice.

Toradora is an old anime so I think there were figures released. I think Taiga had a nendoroid. Recently, she had this figure themed as a bride/ wearing a wedding gown and I absolutely think she looks stunning. 👌

I think it's a special figure because of the celebration of the light novel's birth. Also it's from Goodsmile so the figure quality is s tier but so is the price. Unfortunately. 😁

It's because it depends on the conversion of currency and the local shops available within the country. :/ I don't think I can do a video like that unfortunately. Prize figures are definitely budget friendly compared to other anime figure types. So for most of us including the students, it's such a good choice (which i'm pretty thankful for. Scaled figures are pain to buy most of the time since they're pricey ┗( T﹏T )┛) Keep that love for anime figures burning Nachan!

How do you tell if an anime figure is an oc? Aka original character
It's usually indicated along with the character name of the figure. It has the character name and then they declare it's an OC by (artist) whoever made the character 👌🏻

As someone that got into different lines of figures (some are anime, some not) I do sort of regret getting into it but I'm already too far in.
Too far down the rabbit hole my friend haha! I guess best way to navigate is thru reselling. Then funnel your liked series or characters and just buy those instead. Not like I'm one to talk too since I also bought figures that I regret haha!

If you planning to have funkpops, please keep them in the boxes or keep the boxes (you don't have to) I have this miku funk pop and her pigtails constantly break possibly from the being too long and from having to balance the figure. Mind you she's from 2017 so her might be weaker (?) So I might find one with a box

You would be my savior if you could help with my dilemna : most of the figures I'd like to have are of not-known series or are not findable on trusting sites. Do you maybe have a tip to find uncommun figures without having to sell your house or fear for your life ?

What uncommon figures are you trying to buy Satsuki? *Insert smug face* If you can sell atleast your kidney, you could probably find the figures you're looking for at Amiami,Mandarake or Solaris Japan. 3 sites selling pre owned figures too so there's a chance you could find these mysterious figures you're looking for 😏 or may I suggest custom made if it's a specific character you're trying to find and there are not much figures made out of it. 1. You could buy pre painted nendoroid dolls and empty nendoroid faces and just do the decorating by yourself. Luckily, they offer a wide selection of skin tones. Or 2. Look for people who make custom made polymer clay figures. They are much cheaper but it's more cheap when you learn and do it. Someone actually suggested in my comment section that 3d printing should also be considered but I can't confirm that idea yet since I haven't tried that. Other than that, I don't think I could help anymore. 🤣 Atleast your house is safe

OFCOURSE! authentic or not, it's still a kind of anime figure. If money is an issue, I don't think it's something to be ashamed of. Buying a fake I mean. If the figurine makes you happy, then that's what matter most 😉 although I'd rather advice to save up money and patiently wait than to buy bootlegs. We don't know if the materials they use are toxic and they honestly don't last very long.

There is nothing wrong with starting your figure collection journey through buying counterfeit figures. I started collecting those and I then bought few original prize figures. Now I am not going back to those bootleg figures because prize figure quality far exceed those. Additionally believe me buying one original quality figure feels much better than buying multiple bootleg figures. So start with prize figures and when you can afford, move on to scale figures if you wish.
Additionally, look up amiami preowned section to get cheaper scale figures.

Prize figures are cheaper figures with medium to low quality features. They're still considered scaled figures actually since well, they have different sizes. Tho they are more known or called as "prize figures". Scaled figures are known to be high quality with medium to high price tags. They can be bought but they can't be found or get through claw machines or crane games. Its the best comparison I think. I hope it makes sense 😭
