+Icarus975 No if you hide the apps you do not recover storage from these apps but you have to root in order to remove them. However, the phone does support micro SD expandable storage therefore you basically do have unlimited storage capabilities.

watching this on my new lg v10 switched over long time coming from an iPhone and its the best decision I ever made love the phone except for a couple bugs I've noticed with the second screen
I had heard the DAC was actually pretty good, but even more impressive is that it's supposed to be able to drive harder to drive headphones. Just wondering if that's true considering I like harder driven headphones...but I don't want to use an external amp to make a bigger brick.

I bought this after testing out with my V moda M100, Audio Technica M50 and Beats Solo2 (my beaters). I have three FiiO headphone amps I use and the V10 is the first phone that made me think I wouldn't need the FiiOs.
+porscheoscar When I travel I like to bring my Mr. Speakers Mad Dogs. So they're going to need something that drives well over 50 ohms to drive them correctly. They're still the most comfortable closed cans I have. Seems like I'll still need an amp with this bad boy. How do you like the DAC though? Transparent?
Solomon Li for portable use the V10 and high end headphones is more than adequate. I don't think carrying the FiiO or some other mobil amp is going to be worth the difference. Go over to the XDA forums in the V10 subforum one audiophile conducted some digital testing and posted the results. Just search v10 and audio.
Thank you Jules for an excellent review. I re-watched this after Jaime's "after the buzz" re-review of the G4. Right now, my Samsung S4 is OK, but if I were to upgrade today, the LG V10 would be the phone. I love the expandable memory (2tb!!!!!!) and the replaceable battery is exactly what I need since I keep my phones a long time. Thank you again Jules.
Interesting, what settings did you use for the night shots @7:13 outside? the video looks horrible with all that moving around. It's the worst night time footage I've seen from the V10, something is up. Way overexposed. The panning looks more like a movie dream sequence..looks to be a mix of long exposure video or something, weird... I can't put my finger on it.
Great review. I've have my LG V10 since November now and I STILL love it. The V20 is going to have to REALLY have some crazy updates for me to give my my v10 for the v20. With my Launcher,,my clock widgets and My icon packs,,,plus the 264 gigs of storage on it, I am in love with my v10...I get almost 60 MPS download speeds with it on Tmobile. The camera is second to none..the speaker isn't great but I never listen to music or watch movies without headphones and the HAC Kills it when you put headphones in...This is my 13th android phone and by far my favorite.

Also include voice recording capabilities and music through headphone or earphone with setting a benchmark device and comparing phones to it. It is mandatory because people also use the features. Its an advice worth following.

very nice review, however you didn't comment on the feel in the hand. I had an lg v10 for about 48 hours and found it size--especially its width--to be downright unwieldy, far more so than the moto x, which has the identical screen size.
the international version I ordered suprisingly came with dual SIM card slots which I think is much needed. I have always been a hard HTC fan but after playing with latest samsung and the newest moto pure, I am safety content with this phone.
does lossless actually typically *sound* better? I thought it was more of an editing thing. I'm probably wrong for all i know though. this also probably isn't the best video to ask this question but whatever.
Very thorough review. I'm not sure if it's Jules's voice, or the sound quality of the video, but as good as the review was, it made me sleepy! :-) The video sounds like he's talking under a blanket or something. Fix that for next time = excellent.
if you had to choose from the note 5 or lg v10 with one would you pick i have the note 5 right now but this phone is really calling because 1 it has ir blaster second removable battery and add extra memory but i want a real opinion if i should change?
Off Topic here: You know what would be cool for 2016 smartphones? If we can officially duel boot Android and Ubuntu. That way users can use Ubuntu side of things to do desktop environment like functions and replace their laptop. But that's just me.

this phone has more plus's than the old Google plus app. perfect phone. the second screen is very unique and innovative. the body, the specs, and the camera is very innovative. so getting this phone. love the review.

I liked the review overall but I have some comments to make them a little better, please bear with me, I would suggest a better microphone or at least one that can make his voice clearer because he has a deep voice. +elchamber In standby mode, you can choose whether the second screen is on or off. It is on by default to shot the time, weather, and other info. ^ADN
