Magical Mystery Tour of my Mountainside Property; and fireside discussion: Hope vs. False Hope

Welcome to PorchPulse! This half hour video is an introduction to my PorchPulse UA-cam page, with a brief tour of my mountainside property in the northern hills of New Hampshire, as well as some thoughts on Hope vs. False Hope. What things are we easily fooled by, in which we place false hope? What things do we want to believe so badly, that we suspend our disbelief in order to "buy it?" Thanks! Yeah, I kinda forgot all about the coat until I was up there, and it was cold so I didn't want to take it off (did you catch the "ten degrees, as the crow flies" gag?)

Yeah, I remember those too! There's a funny "King of Queens" episode where the father-in-law, Arthur Spooner (played by Jerry Stiller) recalls buying those X-ray glasses as a child!

I remember those - and LOTS of Sea Monkeys - an uncle had SHELVES full of old comic books in his basement - I would spend hours down there reading - he sadly brought them all to the dump just before they became valuable.
