I must admit. The Gray Chapter is a masterpiece.

You'll see the more you listen. They're just a very diverse band.
You also gotta appreciate how original they are despite their diversity also. Nobody else sounds like them. NOBODY
What my opinion in what Corey is trying to say is that everyone judges him on the outside, but on the inside he isn't nothing for what people make him out to be. I can honestly say that i have been through this, and I'm still going though this

7:01 I knew that this part would catch you off guard. The harmony part is Corey’s voice and when performed live Craig will play a sample of it while Corey sings his regular part. you can see this in a lot of their other songs like Nero forte, purity etc

I believe Jim recorded bass for the Gray Chapter, then Vman was introduced afterwards. Also, Corey played bass in the song "Goodbye."

I remember suggesting that song few weeks ago. I knew that you would love it. You are right about harmonizing and melodic part is really distinct in that one but at the same time.. heaviness is also still there. I remember listening to that song non stop on repeat for days when I first discovered it.

It's one of my favorites off of the gray chapter album. At first I didn't really catch it like most of the songs from this album but after a few more listen I was like: who am I kidding? This is definitely Slipknot.

Love this damn song. We all went mad when they played it. The way always asks if we want something heavier before playing it is amazing. So this song is about the band as a whole and after the 4 years apart thy had the they needed to step on common ground, put their issues away and find common ground to come back together and continue making music and tour together. Yeah I'd say they kicked ass in putting their shit on the back burner.
AOV is easily one of my favorite slipknot songs, and that little instrumental bit in the middle of the song just gives it a whole different vibe, you should also check out their song “The Burden” or “If Rain is What You Want”

Although I rather the fast and heavy sound most of the song gives off, having that slow part towards the end after all this built up anger it makes it kinda hauntingly peaceful and sad in a way. Great song

Easily one of their easiest tunes to get into.
Not surprised you got won over by the chorus.
Part of the reason this might not have sounded like Slipknot to you because it was made without 2 of the original members of the band.
That may be exactly why. It seemed more like a traditional heavy rock type of song. I still absolutely loved it though!
Probably one of the few decent tracks on this album, this is probably their worst album, in my opinion anyway. You should check out Everything Ends from the IOWA album 🤘
for me is their best album, but that´s my opinion
