Got bored, watched about 5 of these episodes. Every episode you say, "should have brought a gaf." So hey man this is your reminder to go out to your kayak right now and put a gaf on it 😆👌
Daiwa Saltist putting in the work! I wish they still made them, they're fantastic reels...I have the 20 and 40, wish I had a 30 size as well 😪 Great catch!
We had a heavy run of Kings they where in the mouth of Cape May inlet with big schools of big Spanish never seen it before in my life was a crazy year for fishing and life!!!!
If you like sushi or cured fish, you can make Shime Saba. It's a vinegar+salt+seaweed brine that helps it firm up really nicely. Makes for a beautiful presentation too.
Love your videos Elias!! I fish from a Hobie outback in Florida and would love to know where you got that low drag bait bucket. I can’t seem to find one on amazon.
Wow nice. I got a couple of king macks in Florida last year, they were schooling right off the jetty and we were getting them on topwater lures. Have you tried trolling topwater? Might be effective.
The only way I've ever had kingfish that tasted good to me was in a dip. Specifically, smoked kingfish dip. It's really, really good. Nice vid, thanks for sharing.
Well worth the trip. The first run was a doozy ... . That Kingfish could turn into "Catch and Cook, and Cook, and Cook" ... maybe smoked ... can they be steaked and grilled?
They aren't bad steaked and grilled with a bunch of either old bay or Cajun seasoning, but turning them into smoked fish dip is the best way to eat them
It is nice, I'm about 45 minutes from everything Cape Cod has to offer but I still get jealous of the fishing grounds guys like Elias and Key West Kayak Fishing have.
Nothing like growing up and living near the ocean. I take it for granted some days. A two minute walk takes me to some of the best fishing on the east coast. I don’t think I can ever leave the Ocean.
Nice fish :) a lot bigger then the Atlantic mackerel we get here. Unless you count the tuna because we have every tuna here and the biggest in the world
@@vinegardoppio421 that’s awesome, hand feeding giants off PEI is on my bucket list for sure. We don’t see many granders, but a few in the 800s have been caught the last few years.
Earlier this year in June I believe it was, I was fishing a jetty on Long Island and saw a guy catch a 40”+ king mackerel, heard of Spanish Mack’s, bonitos and Albies in the inlets up here but never king Macks, interesting stuff this year with the super warm water I guess
King steaks is good stuff on the grill. Lay foil down on grill, add butter and garlic. Heat almost like a brown butter and put King steaks on grill. Take off at around 140-145 and let them rest 5 min or so under a foil tent. Chow down!!
Epic catch! I'd be concerned about it thrashing after resting, and getting out of the cooler that way. Why not cut it in half - that way it would have fit entirely in the cooler. Kill first ofc.
Looked like around a 25 pound fish. Hit the pier sometime. Get into king fishing whichever you're closest to. I don't get down to the beach often maybe twice a year. My third king was 34 pounds. I've seen some 40s before. I've seen days where kings are skying all over. Never know out there.
A short gaff definitely would of been handy but you got er done without. I think a big cobia would worry me a lot more than a big king in a kayak. Ive seen what big cobia do when they are gaffed or netted and then brought in the boat I can only imagine in a kayak especially considering you don't have a cooler to throw them in and sit on. Lol
Hey buddy I fish wilmington at least 2-3 times a week. Spanish are looking hefty right now. I'm looking to land a good kayak very soon. Maybe we can slash together. Tight lines dude🤙
Omgsh intense I dont have boat and rarely have acces to kayaks so one day while dock fiahing in HHI South carolina I saw a spanish or king jump I ended up loosing 3 big macks that summer....
Look that fish that size and smaller are really good steak duck with lemon pepper Italian dressing and let it marinate in italian dressing and sliced lemon on to and broil it it's really really good if you don't like your steaks too thick you can cut them thin you know but I like them like a 3/4 inch thick to inch steak really good steaks
Elias, Now that's a drag run! Nice King Mackerel. Stay safe from Pennsylvania. Prayers sent for Meg,Elias. God bless
what happened to meg? I've been wondering
I won't lie it was pretty hilarious😂 watching you zip that monster up in that bag awesome fish man. 💯💪
Trunp2020
Looks like a baby fish being born like a dolphin.
Hey thanks for explaining, for us who don't live in the states. Congratulations on catching the king.

Awesome video sweet king mackerel! He wanted that bunker for sure lol 🤙🏻
Awesome KM, Elias! Impressive stuff, always fun and enjoyable to watch your adventures/content!!
Hey. Appreciate you making videos. You’re a good fisherman.
Nice to see the pro get excited. The king is on my bucket list but very seldom come inshore locally for me.
Nice vid E! Especially that tail grab technique.
I thought that was a shark at first.....holy mackerel what a Giant! Biggest King I've ever seen - totally awesome Elias!
Went out and got me a 11lb king and a 25 inch red today. Your fish was WAY better then mine.....as always. Man love that fight keep it up.
Beautiful been hearing about the Mak bite in the 30 foot range even some big spanish ive seen jumping in the intercoastal
Talk about a fight! Awesome fish and video!
Nice catch big fish. Very good. 👍👍👍
Nice catch! I agree with you about the taste.

Very impressive fish Elias. Would love to get out and chase some kings one day but I've got too many trout tournaments coming up. Maybe next year.
"Maybe go for a lip grab, I dunno."
Elias you crazy man
Promise kept.
That was a very good fish caught. Supper for many, many, many days.
Awesome catch Elias! Thank you 🙏
Good Real- I still use my Diawa Slosh 20, still works great- mostly use it surf fishing, and off the end of nags head pier.
I have a old Slosh 20- Diawa, still going strong. Cast great- on a 12ft surf rod.

Wow that's great boat well I hope you get a lot of fish out their brother take care.🙏🎄
That was a heck of a job multi tasking.
Awesome king, E! Love the content.
Nice mac.
where did u get the floating live container?
Send me the link to the floating container!
Caught 2 king small mackerel on my boat sailing out of Manasquan Inlet, NJ (central NJ). One trolling a Clark spoon and the other jigging.
In a old video I saw a place I recognized in Carolina beach. If you live in Carolina beach do u know any good fishing spots???
Well worth the trip. The first run was a doozy ... . That Kingfish could turn into "Catch and Cook, and Cook, and Cook" ... maybe smoked ... can they be steaked and grilled?
Me personally, smoked only way. I’ve tried grilled & fried - didn’t like it. Just wished it was spanish mack instead.
EliasVFishing think it would be good candidate for smoking and turning it into a fish dip?
They aren't bad steaked and grilled with a bunch of either old bay or Cajun seasoning, but turning them into smoked fish dip is the best way to eat them
Nice king and nice run!!!!
Blackened king mackerel is very good, pretty much removes all of the "fishy" taste from the meat.
Blackened with a little brown sugar mixed in and on a charcoal grill. Excellent
JESUS!!! THAT IS A BIG FISH!!
This videos make me wish I was closer than 4 hours to the ocean.
same
At least you don't live in kansas.
You and me both bud. Four hours for me too. To Wilmington. Outer Banks more like seven

dude awesome video, that was a beast
Nice fish :) a lot bigger then the Atlantic mackerel we get here. Unless you count the tuna because we have every tuna here and the biggest in the world
In the winter time we sometimes get bluefins, a couple years ago they were catching 600+ pounders in 20 feet of water off Carolina Beach Inlet.
I live in the bluefin capital of the world 1000lbs is common

Lol I’m in Nova Scotia it’s good here cuz it’s the only place they rest. In the bay of fundy

Well hell that was COOL.IF I WOULD'VE CAUGHT THAT MONSTER YOU CAN BET FOLKS IN FLORIDA WOULD HAVE HEARD ME YELLING HELL YA.
Where did you go out at for this fish in a kayak? Is this the Point at Emerald Isle?
Epic catch!
I'd be concerned about it thrashing after resting, and getting out of the cooler that way. Why not cut it in half - that way it would have fit entirely in the cooler. Kill first ofc.
if you had a commercial hook and line license you would get $2.00/2.35 a lb oct 2020 market on king mackerel.

Nice man! What do you think you were marking on your depth finder at 1:45-1:47? Any ideas?
From the looks of it, most likely was a mermaid or a mola mola.
NOW you need a catch and cook video for that whopper!
The black gold saltist are awesome.
Quinte , I think we're gonna need a bigger bag !
Correction: its Quint

Good job brother
