      Absolutely agree! Also, entities that keep their buyers/owners anonymous should be illegal. There are used to cover-up things the parties involved would rather not be seen, such as taking over a massive amount of a county, as well tax evasion and money laundering.
      The state, county, and base officials seem to have not done their due diligence, everyone being clueless. Please continue following up on this story, as it impacts not only the base, but surrounding communities, and the Delta wetlands.

      These records are accessable. They are the tax base of the area. It may take a little digging to find out about the company or group that bought the land but you can find out.

      They buy what they think will make them money. The crazy part is that “ai” property management platforms raise rents way out of proportion to inflation as a default. It’s strangling disposable income. Kids can’t buy a house because the ai will raise their rent until there is nothing left. Memory serves to get a place you need to concede your income data.       No one will live under a military flight landing path it's forbidden by feds in case of plane crashes on residential homes . There is no water out there. There is huge wetlands the land purchase borders on that could be threatened by notification and runoff by paving.

      It is public record. Unfortunately the members of some LLCs are not public. There are good and valid reasons for that as well as bad, nefarious and fraudulent reasons. It's a mixed bag.

It's the same game big business plays with one another to try to destroy each others business.     No foreign countries or entities should be able to buy land in the US!!! How hard is this to understand???!!! There should be strict vetting procedures for any foreign entities and timelines to action these properties with purpose listed and also scope limited/restricted and defined purposefully.

      Lots of land in the US is owned by foreign entities. Vinfast recently purchased and is building a massive factory in NC. If you haven't been keeping up, they are a Vietnamese company that makes shitty but not inexpensive EV's. All the major Asian auto manufacturers have plants on US soil. And that is just one industry.

      They know the buyer…it’s a corporation.
      The corporation was formed in Delaware, which is to corporations as is the Cayman Islands to banking.
      Delaware state laws make it very easy to hide who the people behind a corporation are. It should not be legal to hide business associations. Theses aren’t private people, with friends…they are businesses that do business globally, and that does make it a national security issue, as well as an internal criminal enterprise matter.

    No foreign companies or citizens should be allowed to buy land here. If you think that is extreme, well that is the norm in many countries. Many countries won't allow a non citizen to work or even be in their country for more than 1 month at a time.

    It sound like a brilliant move for someone with bad intentions. You already have the base surrounded. You’ll have the perfect position to observe base activity to determine a time to hit. Or better yet, tunnel into the base. Wondering if this tracks back to China. China and Bill Gate own most of the farm land.

    Be very concerned when people purchase land, especially in large plots, then starts flipping the land. You loose control of who is ending up owning that land. Laws are in place , but evidently not being enforced, to protect America from being invaded secretly by its enemies.

    How did this happened, to begin with? Who sold these properties? And shouldn't the seller know that these are close by the military base? Someone made a decision here without disclosure with the local, state & federal government.

    I've driven into Fairfield many times picking up freight, pretty wide open spaces, and ripe for housing development. I believe the guys with the bucks didn't research the problems associated with huge wind farms, military restrictions, etc.

      It's the way Delaware laws are set up whereby you can create these companies with minimal paperwork, they pick one name (usually an attorney for the corporation) to act as a front. It's difficult to pierce but not impossible. Most corporate entities are set up this way.

    I'm not a big government guy, but this is alarming because it makes no financial sense. If there is ever a time for an eminent domain seizure, this may be one of them. Officials need to get to the bottom of this one, and quickly.

    I will say the people and public in this part of the US are patriots and thank you for caring and looking out for best interests of our country.
    All area around bases with-in a certain distance should be off limits like a buffer zone, but this would require US government purchase said land and when GSA does audits it will look like "excess". Hopefully there will be a policy or law in place that regulates a buffer zone so it wont be on any chopping block in congress.
