I've had a problem with my PTT for the last 3 yrs, but, miraculously, this a.m., it worked! Now that I'm back, I've forgotten how to do the logging. Thank you!!! Not only have you refreshed my memory, plus expanded my education. I have subscribed. I expect to learn a lot, from you. THANKS! 73 W5ULY

I've been using WinLog32 for years. I know HRD is better, and I keep telling myself to make the switch, but I keep putting it off (hi hi). Maybe someday....
    Nice video...

Thanks Tom for the video. I’m having trouble down lodging to lotw, the TQSL options are not filled in. What do I use in these boxes as the ‘Upload” box is grayed out? KB0BSI.

Did you request a TQSL and get one via email? Just add the location where you saved it in the line.

I like your video and I followed it until it was time to send it to LOTW. For some reason mine won’t upload. Can you do another video on how you set that up. Or just comment here I’ll get it.
    Thanks

Tom - thanks for the video on HRD. Do you know if you can use the HRD Logbook without using the HRD Rig Control? I could never seem to be able to access it as a standalone. 73 Scott

Scott - You can absolutely open LogBook without the rig control. Logbook has it's own icon that is available (I put mine permanently on the task bar). When you open it without the rig control, you'll get a "Connection Failed" warning that you can just ignore and click out of. Because you won't have the rig control up and running, if you use the direct method, you'll have to enter some more stuff (like frequency). You'll be able to import ADIs and upload/download to LotW. I've got several videos out where I discuss WSJT-x, GridTracker, etc. that I show how to automatically update the logbook. 73 de Tom, ND3N

@@ND3N sorry it took me a while to reply. I used to use HRD but got away from it and went to other logging programs. Honestly, HRD does have the best and easiest one out there. I got an offer from an HRD mailer for a really good price for a year renewal so I got the license last night. Not sure if it's just my Win10 machines, but it does take a while for it to display on my computer. I did change it to only view the last 500 QSOs, perhaps that will speed things up. Hope you're enjoying your new FT-891! 73 Scott.

Hi Tom, is it possible to create an entry when there are a number of stations in a net situation?

If you work someone in a net, like the county hunters net, then you can certainly enter that contact in your log. You wouldn't enter everyone in the net unless you actually worked them. 73 de Tom, ND3N
