Planting Summer Alliums // One of My FAVORITE Perennials

Summer Alliums are a staple perennial in my gardens. They are easy care, beautiful, attractive to pollinators, and bloom reliably year after year. Today I am planting 3 more Millennium Alliums to my gardens and we’re taking a detailed look at this amazing plant. I’ve also planted in 2 more shrubs that I’m excited to show you!

I have never planted alliums in my garden but I love the ones you planted they are beautiful. I will try some this fall if I can find some. I enjoy watching you garden. You have a good eye for plant placement. I just hired a teenager to clean up my yard doing the hard work, you have inspired me to fix my yard. I am not able to do much physical work because of back problems. Luckily my neighbors love my yard it's wild with lots of flowers and trees and shrubs. This has allowed me to enjoy my yard more. I love this beautiful plants, I Bought one serendipity alliums last spring, divided to 5, and divided again in fall. now, all 10 plants bloom nicely.

Love summer alliums! I have both varieties, I believe serendipity is more a blue green foliage while millennial is more green. Enjoying your channel! 🌼🐝

I agree your garden is so beautiful. Is the garden I wish to have. When it rains here, all the water comes gushing down, and on top of that, we have red clay soil. I have to amend everytime I plant with wood chips. I wonder if I get some mulch from the store to add on top if that will help?? Also will look better. I order online some millennium alliums. This will be the first time in my garden. Hopefully they will do well.

Your garden is so beautiful! Can I ask what kind of auger you use? I have SC clay crappy soil. It took me 45 minutes to dig 2 holes 😢

@@KarenSnyder-dc8bp Hi there! I just have a pretty basic power planter auger that I use with an 18V drill. It’s not ideal, but does help!
