As a daughter of a retired Naval officer/ Vietnam veteran I really appreciate this video! It’s so well done. Thank you for the recommendations! Now I need that book from Barnes and Noble! So gorgeous. And… I love National Treasure!😊
Awe! Me too about being a Navy brat 💙 My biological dad was career Army. Dad who adopted and raised me was career Navy. I'm an Army Mom also. Forgot to mention all that. Means so much to me that you say that. Thank you so much and thankful for your Dad’s service! 🇺🇸💙🇺🇸
Loved this video!! In our homeschool we have been going through colonial history and we just finished reading Johnny Tremain! I enjoyed it. Love that book with the Declaration!! Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. My husband served in the Air Force during our first years of marriage. It was tough being away from family being overseas. I am very proud of him!
Thank you, Alma!!! Thank your husband for me, and thank YOU for your supportive service to our country as well! ❤️ You are one of the ones I was thinking f when I made this video. That is awesome with the Colonial History homeschooling. Yay! T’s absolutely fascinating ti me the (far from perfect) but wisdom& bravery it took to create a completely new government that protects us from tyrants outside and within. SO thankful for those who answer the call to serve! 🇺🇸 I’ll hush now 🙃🤓😆
Love so many of these you have shared. Love the ideas to bless the troops you shared. Love Felicity! And I never feel guilty about screen time if my kids are watching Liberty Kids! ❤
Thank you, Kelli! Glad the suggestions were helpful. There were so many more things I wanted to share. Maybe next time (lots more patriotic holidays coming up). So glad to hear that about Liberty Kids. That makes my day! 🇺🇸
We love Williamsburg! We had annual passes there for a while. I loved Felicity and Molly, and also Kirsten when i was growing up. My kids loved Liberty Kids as well. My oldest brother is a chief master Sergeant (i think ) in the Air Force Reserves and is currently stationed in Germany. His family is visiting him currently. ❤ And he's coming back this summer.
LOVED THIS!! "Positive patriotism" 💯❤ I'm drooling over all the books you showed lol! So many great resources to check out!!! Seriously thinking about getting that US constitution book for my hubs for Father's Day
Thank you!! I’m so glad you liked them. Really?? Oh my goodness, that would make my year if you did gift that!! I’m sure it would be very meaningful to him since he said an oath to defend her (the constitution). ❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️ and the camera doesn’t do it justice. Sooo pretty!
YESSS Oh my Goodness. I think I'll go watch it right now! [haha] The kids, Ben Franklin's (ADORE him) wise words, the lanterns, the bravery, the newspaper, the strife, the tension-filled music..... Morgan mentioned that computer game --- I must find out about this game!! Wouldn't it be so cool if there was a Liberty Kids app game? I'm looking right now! 😂🤣
I wonder if I could find an online game now of Liberty's Kids??? So glad I own the episodes....I'm going to watch some this weekend. The excitement (knowing we won), the music, my patriotism..... fills my heart. haha
Ohhhh I didn't know Colonial Williamsburg had a YT channel! I would love to go there in person! My mom loves Colonial Williamsburg, I'll have to tell her about their YT channel, thank you for sharing!!
Yes mam. I didn’t realize for a long time that it was a thriving“capital” during that time. For like 80 years and the restoration they’ve done to preserve so many original buildings there. Oh…. if I could go back in time to be a fly on the wall in the coffee house.
I've been to Jamestown and toured the historic sites but I didn't get a chance to visit Williamsburg when I went. I really want to go back. It was one of my favorite trips ever! I used to be really big on "patriotic themed decor". My living room was very much "USA Flag themed" lol. I'm a bit more eclectic in my style now but I really do love the colonial style - kind of like what your library looks like! Just adore the Felicity series!
one of my most memorable visits was when my Daddy (WWII & Korean War Veteran) took me to D.C. and Mount Vernon when I was about 10 or so. George and Martha's estate was incredible & I remember details of the furniture and decor like it was yesterday. haha I adore patriotic decor - the kind that is more primitive/antique. THANK YOU for catching on to the colonial-style library. 🤩I'm pretty minimalist, so I've been taking my time decorating the library with special pieces I find on Etsy and such. They aren't cheap. On the hunt now for an antique Eagle with US flag plaque and a colonial wall clock. Felicity is the best!!
@@OldeAmericanSpirit Sounds like such good memories ❤️ I’ve always wanted to visit Mount Vernon. Maybe one day! Thrifting is my favorite way to find home decor 😂
ahhhhhh, this warms my heart. If I wasn't already convinced... now I know that we ARE kindred spirits. I just got a huge book haul yesterday of colonial books from the library!!! love it.

@@talesandtreatswithtay it’s talked about in that book?! Cool.
@OldeAmericanSpirit yes! One of her timelines 1774 in Williamsburg. She interacts with George Washington and Thomas Jefferson as a printer. So fun!
