Hi this video is so full of interesting info! Thank you! I like the music in the background at points in your video to. I just started uploading realtime art tuition videos a few months ago, realtime because there is just so much to learn about making good videos. Have you made any videos with help on making realtime videos better? That would be great! 😊
Hey Denise, thanks for such a kind comment. It’s great to hear you’ve started a UA-cam channel! For realtime content, I’m assuming you’re meaning filming in real time? In that case, I would recommend scripting everything first & thinking intentionally about what you’re going to be doing on screen & when. Think about how you can keep the viewer engaged. Then you can keep your videos really simple… just cutting out any mistakes you make when recording. An alternative, and the way I’d prefer to do it, is record your talking head parts separately to your drawing/painting parts, you can always add a voiceover to those drawing/painting parts. In terms of getting higher views… I would recommend you do this… search: “How to draw” “How to paint” And look at the high performing videos (videos that have a high view count in comparison to the channel’s average). See what their title & thumbnail looked like. How did they present? How did they structure their video? What was the first line of their video? What was their production like… did they speed up their drawing sections & have a voice over during it? What kind of things did they cover? Have they got other videos that have performed well… if they have then check those out too. Hope those thoughts helped :) If you need more clarity then feel free to ask any other questions!
@@nathaniel_hall Hi! Thanks so much for your reply, and lots of very helpful tips. I have explored those areas you suggest. And you're quite right about the speeded up parts and voice overs. I am so new to doing this, I just do things in the simple way so far. If you have time, maybe check out one of my videos and see what approach I have, very laid back and try and keep the drawing simple and straightforward. I have seen a lot of people posting videos saying that my approach is what the viewers are wanting to see now, do you agree with that? Thanks again for taking the time to reply to me, it's much appreciated !
