    This is a fantastic guide. Thank you Innes ❤️ whilst I am vegan I am happy to use wool from a sustainable and environmental point of view in place of plastics with more questionable origins. There is also an option to buy second hand yarn and knit your own covers that way not supporting the wool industry.

    I have wool covers just sitting in my dresser waiting to be lanolized! Everyday I think "oh I should just do that so I can use them!". Thanks for the motivation to go and get them prepped so my babe can have some nice soft covers to wear :)

    I like that you cover the down sides to these too BUT I am a big fan. The natural qualities of wool and self-care is a tick tick from me. Trust you to encourage to make your own! Gorgeous x

    Hi! Thanks for this video, I am on a journey learning about wool covers. My question is, at night, how do you dress the baby for bed wearing a wool nappy? Pyjamas? Sleeping bag? Blanket? Do they work with the wool nappy?

    • @aboderie
      @aboderie  Рік тому +3

      Yes any of those will work! You just need to make sure that nothing is pressing too tightly on the nappy so make sure any elastics are above the nappy and that the clothing is quite loose fitting. Sometimes people use wool longies which basically act as the pyjama bottoms! 😊

    Total newbie and I can’t really find this info anywhere. If you’re using wool during the day time, do you continue to use the same cover all day? Are you switching back and forth between two covers? What about kn the gl? Of the baby goes while out of the house do you put it in a separate wet bag?

    Can you use Wool wraps while baby wearing? I was wondering if the compression would cause leakage, I mostly wear a natural fibre wrap but also have an ergo baby which is polyester? Thanks

      I've never found it to be a problem because the main pressure point of a baby carrier will be wider than where the nappy sits, but it will depend a bit on the kind of carrier you're using. Boosting the nappy a bit more would help!

    I know this probably isn't the best place to ask, but I am saving up to become a mum in the next five years, as I'm going the single mum route and planning fertility treatment. Would it be stupid of me to buy stuff so far in advance? As I'm really excited but my family tell me not to 'taint' fate by buying baby items.

      It's totally up to you (and I can really understand wanting to buy everything now!) but I would probably wait! There are new nappies coming out all the time these days, and so if you buy things now you might wish you'd waited for something newer! But I know it's really hard to wait! ❤

      @@Angie-Who I spent 3 years buying baby items - nappies, covers, clothes etc. while we were ttc. People said I will "jinx it" but I prefer to look at it in a way that I was preparing for our baby to come whenever they decided to come join us. Now we're pregnant and I have so many essential items and don't have to worry about spending a lot of money at one time. It helped me go through our ttc journey and make me feel closer to our baby before we managed to get pregnant AND it helped me save money because you can buy things when companies have sales or things get discounted. So I personally would totally go for it and buy things here and there as you go through your journey. Good luck.
