      @@molonlabe9602 Unfortunately, if you don't use a proper fuel controller, and lower the A/F Ratio ......., ALL BBK will overheat and burn up no matter the size

    Also could you guys do a video about optional/recommended accessories to go with BBK's? Like fuel controllers, oil coolers, clutch spring plates, stiffer springs, etc.? What would be recommended to go with the Kitaco NEO?

      Wo0ter, that's actually one of the most popular questions we get. So much so that we actually do all the work for the customer, and list out all the recommended and required add-on Accessories with the BBK when you add it to your shopping cart. That way the customer doesn't have to remember, or research or figure out what else is needed. It's all listed out there for you, and all you have to do is choose the ones you want to add. Super easy.

    Hi there on a honda wave 100 or 110 cc can you get a 170 or 180 two valve big bore kit carb version to fit with a forged crank ??
    And on this engine does it require crankcase machining to accept the barrel ??

    Did I see that the Takegawa 181 cylinder comes with tappings to allow oil from an oil cooler to be circulated through the piston sleeve? Or did I misunderstand that? As far as I can see, none of the other kits include that feature, right?

    You answered my question at the end well kind of. Can you clarify for my if I can run the 181cc takegawa bbk with the forged crank shaft and forged connecting rods? I’m replacing mines and wanna do the swap, just wanna make sure they all fit together without interference

    4:36 - yep can confirm, Ariderslife on youtube chewed through 3 186cc grom kits. either from faulty valves that dropped into the head, or blown gaskets. 181 seems about perfect.

    I'm having a fuel problem after koso 181 install and upgrades. Only getting 3/4 throttle before is sputters out. Dino shop said it's not getting enough fuel

    will the 181 bolt on to a xpro vader? it's one of the clones from what i can tell it's part for part the same as the gen 2 boom vaders.

    Can I put the 181cc big bore with the 4v head, and a +1 front sprocket also aftermarket cam, k and n air filter, with fmf exhaust and ecu, will that get me close to 90?
    I'm 13 and I want something fun when I'm in the military
    I know people gonna say(that's not a good idea) I want what I want don't change it.

    I have 2018 grom I installed the koso 170 big bore kit 4valve head with the kitaco forged crankshaft the morin oil cooler with the koso throttle body with the bigger feul injector the aracer mini X with the Af2 auto tune but I just blow up my motor my motor blow up around 3-12-23 today is 4-8-23 right know I am putting my motor back together the only thing was damaged was the big hole the piston rod knocked in the bottom of crankcase the piston and the cylinder and 2vavle on the exhaust side one of the rocker arms and the crankshaft the rod head was twisted I had to take it to a Machine shop to heat the head up to bend it back straight so like I said Im rebuilding the motor know but I'm going with a 181cc cylinder using the 170cc 4valve head so my question is can I get another bore to give me more horsepower.

    Im almost ready to install the 143 w/crank. What parts should i replace while im already in there anyway ?
    Timing chain? Valve springs? And the such

      That's a very popular question. So much so that we actually did all the work and research for you. When you choose a BBK and click "ADD TO CART" it will put up the entire list of parts we recommend getting. They are all there for you see and pick and choose what you want to add. Super easy.

    You should offer fully built ready to go engines to purchase with a core. Or have customers ship their engines and you build them and ship them back. Great video, Thank you for all you do.

    I can buy a 180 BB kit that includes a cam at a reasonable price. Is it ok to add this kit using the stock 2 valve head? Is the stock intake and injector big enough to support/justify installing the 180BB kit? Thank you.

    Installed kitaco 181 light bbk with type2 cam yesterday, runs fine with a perfect afr everywhere, but idle is a bit low nd afr is too rich at idle. Did reset ecu, run about 50 miles - no change. How can i adjust afr mechanicaly? Is there any air screw on a throttle body? All kitaco parts, i-map fuel controller

      There's a metal Throttle stop screw on the TB, just turn that in a little to increase idel.

    Is there a significant decrease in MPG with the Kitaco Neo big bore kit & cam? I love my MPG and it's part of the reason I have a grom and I use my Grom as a daily commuter May-October.

      When we did our BBK it only dropped from 100 mpg to about 82-85 mpg. That's what most customers seem to be getting as well.

    I was looking at Grom mainly for compactness and possibility to maybe even keeping it in the apartment. But I found out that it's kind of heavy for the engine. Then I started to look into big bore kits. And quickly found out that it costs more per HP than slapping Hennesy supercharger onto an Escalade. Not to judge, as to each it's own, but I find it cheaper and much easier just to go and buy something with higher displacement. Like same Honda but CB300R. Liquid cooled 286cc thumper, so summer traffic not an issue, better brakes, much higher HP (already 4v) and it's only 50lb heavier fully loaded with all liquids.

      If you have never ridden a Grom, it's hard to understand.
      You can get a Honda Grom NEW, for about $3000-$3300
      The CB300R is $4600+$380 Destination = $5000
      So not exactly the same ballpark.

      @@HardRacingPerformanc You are right, I've never ridden a Grom. But I did ride many similar displacement motorcycles. Also, Grom has destination fee. And with CB300R you don't need $1K "displacement" kit, which will void the warranty among other things.

      Motorcycle warranties only last twelve months... if you add the mods in the first year, you’re a fool... but after that twelve months, absolutely ZERO reason not to modify it.

      Put that CB300R engine in a grom and you’ve got a FAST bike with a lot less weight and rotational mass.

    Do you know if the transmission will hold up with the extra power? I dont hear many people talk about upgrading it, only the clutch plates.

      We've had no issues from any of our Groms with BBK running for the past 5 years. There are probably 4000 + Groms running around the world with BBK, and not seen anyone say the stock Trans. had issue.

      You have to use the CAM that comes with the NEO. You don't "have to" use the Crank if you don't want to.

    I understand this may be the wrong Chanel to ask but you know the saying if you don’t ask you won’t know. Now to question dew to ill health I can’t ride my immaculate wr250f 2016 with just 80 miles so was thinking for a long time to get a Grom now I’ve seen the cbr300 engine swaps but just stick out too much BUT what about the CBR125 engine you’d get I’d imagine a bit more power but my main reason is you’d GET 2 EXTRA GEARS to lower the revs so you could easily do the 70-80MPH I think everyone is aiming for especially for myself. If this is plausible I’d go out today buy a brand new Grom and would not mind spending an extra £1000-£1500 on it to make it both go faster plus have some trick bits, however if you think spending that money on the 4 speeder that’s what I’d do please answer to this question as I’m about to sell my WR250F and buy something I can handle (as in weight) because I’m very weak after recent operation many thanks SCOOBS UK.

    I have the 64mm kit, after watching this I’m questioning putting it on. I don’t beat on my bike and all out drag it, would you recommend going with a smaller bore for this type of riding? Keeping the stock head for now and was going to put in the tb cam

      Our 181cc BBK only dropped down to 85 mpg and we ride hard. But honestly the MPG Really has a lot to do with what fuel controller you are running.

      Having ridden turbocharged bikes small engines don't really shine without being HIGH rpm, the juice isn't worth the squeeze with anything smaller than a 600.

    If you go with a stock case and a 181 with cam. Will it ultimately destroy the lower end of the crank case?
    I heard this and want to know if its true?
    Also will this 181 w/cam be a good upgrade for a stunt bike?

      Laby 70, actually there are thousands of bikes running 170-181cc BBK with stock crank and probably a few million miles combined and no issues.

    I have a mt09 engine in my Grom, do you do a big bore kit for my engine as its only 125 bhp and i need to get past the 140 mph barrier i know my Grom will handle it

      You joke, but someone put a Panigale 1199 engine in a Grom. Sadly a fuel line popped off and it went up in flames.

      Actually that's what this entire video is about,... all the things required to run a BBK. If you watch the video all your questions will be answered. ;-)

      @@TomMarvoloRiddle01 Yes, 100% you have to have Proper A/F Ratio for a BBK to last. This requires an aftermarket fuel controller, ie aRacer Mini5, PCV WBC2 combo...etc. There are many other upgrades recommended as well. And we list them all on our website when you click a buy now on any of our BBK. It's all there for you so you don't have to research, or make a list, or waste a lot of time looking for them. They are all there listed out super easy.
