One of the few 12 inch figure line-up in the early 2000's that stood the test of time. They are still modern looking and can be displayed alongside any current high end 1/6 figures I remember the feud between the Hellraiser franchise and Todd back in the days. Todd just wanted to do a Pinhead figure. The franchise only agreed if Todd made the whole cenobites line that made the license more expensive to acquire . The good ol' Spawn forum was heated as Pinhead was the only important missing cult character from Todd's Movie Maniac main line up. Todd being friends with Clive Barker took a different route and created the Tortured Souls. And Neca a new comer, gambled and took the whole cenobite lineup offer and the rest of Neca's success was history. Looking back, I;m glad Todd didnt get to make the Pinhead figure because to this day Neca has been doing the stuff that Mcfarlane Toys should have been doing. Todd was a mess when it comes to license acquisition and additional accessories included in their figures. Then again Todd is the godfather of modern action figures. Edit Shout outs to Mezco and Sota as well, The Creeper. the Dog Soldier werewolves and the 1/4 Pumpkinhead are still highly sought after. And Mezco did the most accurate looking Pinhead(Doug Bradley) headscultp 12 inch figure to date
I adore these. I wish I could get some actual cenobites for my Pinhead figure, but those go for astoundingly overpriced amounts. Chatterer alone is going for about $100. So I'm intending on getting Scythe-Meister, for I already have Venal Anatomica, which looks very nice next to my Pinhead.
Just got one in a toy store here in sweden. I live in a small town With only couple thusand People. And the toy store is not a brand one. Just an old guy With alot of stuff in there. I just found this laying around i instantly bought it. It was the last one to 😅 in box and never opened 😁
It's crazy how cheap they are. I saw a set of three (out of box) being sold for $85. Then I saw this specific one being sold for $19 (in box, but box was pretty damaged) sadly someone already bought it so I missed out.
