I was wondering how anyone is taking the cna state test? I was at a school where they said florida isn't testing cnas untile the board of nursing returns sometime next year? Is that not true?
Prometric testing resumed in July of 2020 in all states that use Prometric (including Florida). There are some concessions (like waiving the skills exam for those that have graduated from a state-approved CNA program within the last 6 months) and limiting student demonstration of close personal contact skills without a mask, but those concessions expire at the end of the year to the best of my knowledge. Prometric has resumed both in-facility testing and regional test site testing in Florida, so I am not sure why your school told you this. Please feel free to contact Prometric directly (or the Florida Board of Nursing) to verify testing information. Best of luck!
