      Lol! Thank you!! I'm glad you can see it that way. 😁 I think it rubs some people the wrong way because they assume that I'm trying to elicit some sort of pity from them, but I'm not. I definitely point out my flaws, but I usually do it with a bit of humor. 😊

      Jenifer Jenkins Just discovered your channel, you are so beautiful, I bet you were a total babe in your 20's! I'm approaching 40 next year already and people still think I'm in my 20's, thank you oily skin! Lol! Yes, it feels so good to put makeup on after a few days of not doing anything with yourself! Can you do a review on a foundation I found that is so overlooked and so beautiful, I almost didn't buy it, because of my oily skin and larger pores I'm SO picky about my makeup. Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow foundation is so damn perfect, I cannot believe I don't see anyone using this. The reviews I found were from a couple years ago when it first came out and I guess it only came out in 2 shades, BUT I found more shades now at Walmart, I got neutral beige and it's a perfect match. I've been asking so many people to try this and actually Tati said she would, she's the only one who's responded to me, so I'm impatiently waiting. The packaging is so cute, pink with a rose gold ribbon top and it's a pump. Kinda reminds me of a high end foundation mixed with WetnWild Photophocus foundation, kinda smells like the WetnWild one too! Well, I asked, that's all I can do! Lol, you sound just like me when I put my makeup on too, so funny! Isn't that ELF eye powder so nice? Very brightening! Thank you for your time, I love watching other people put makeup on, hope you keep on feeling good and healthy! Stay well!

    I like how you keep your makeup looking very natural. I'm 43 and I had to stop wearing eye shadow a few years because I too felt like it made me look much older. The only thing I wear on my eyes now is light mascara.

      I just started using *cream* eye shadow and I'm loving it! It's so much better for crepey lids, in my opinion, than using powder eye shadow. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but I found that stippling it (gently) on my eyelids works really well. 😊

    Love this makeup look! I do my eyeshadow about the same and just use some contour color right in and above the crease. I like a simple, natural look just like this. I am so glad you love that mascara! It's great and the only one I use. Oh! I did start using (about 6 weeks ago) the L'oreal mascara primer (in a white tube) before I use this mascara and like that combo really well! I liked the final lip color after you put on the nude, it looked like a nice warm nude peach color. Very flattering! I may have to try that plumper (my lips would be super red though) I am a bit obsessed with lip plumpers and fuller lips. I always think they give a very youthful look. I'm so glad you and your family are feeling better! I hope you have a great week! Lots of love xoxo

I think we all have our little quirks we can laugh at with our friends. I don't know how your lips looked after this in person, but on camera the color came out really pretty--looks great with your eye makeup and sweatshirt! Very pretty look.

      Hi Adda 😊 Thank you so much! My husband is my voice of reason half the time, and it really made sense to me when he said that. It's so easy sometimes to get discouraged with the aging process. Oh my gosh, Jenifer, you look gorgeous. I love this look! Those colors are so natural looking. Very beachy, glowy, summery. Your eyes and lips are spot on perfect. On the video, I don't think your lips look as pink around the edges as they did to you in the mirror. They look great! It's taken me years to be able to start accepting my aging "process" and be grateful for what I do have. Hitting our 40s is challenging, I think, because that's when the changes start to become more visible It did for me at least. What you're going through is common. I think many of us have felt the same way. Criticized ourselves each time we see yet another physical flaw from aging. Now at 56, I'm beginning to get the hang of being more ok with it all. What other option is there ;-) Your husband is right about you looking back and seeing how gorgeous you really were (are)! I'm so glad he sees how lovely you are. Hope you're having a sweet Sunday. Cheers, sweet and pretty one! ~ Janis

    I have been wondering where you have been. I only watch you, Angie, Nisha and Anne- Marie on a regular basis. So glad you are all feeling better. I definitely know what you mean about moms having to continue on no matter who is sick. Luckily I never had all five of our children sick at once. I am also not a big makeup person. When I was younger, I only wore mascara and only started wearing foundation in my late 40's. I have been experimenting more with makeup since I am in my 50's, only because I have more things to correct than before, but still want to keep it as natural and simple as possible. Thanks for sharing, hope you have a great day.

    Good afternoon, gorgeous! So happy are all better. Having the whole family sick at the same time is definitely rough. You did a fabulous job with your permanent eyebrows, Jenifer. Happy you are enjoying the e.l.f. contour palette. I gave it to my daughter, because I already owned one. I was self hard on myself, until I turned 50, so tell your husband you'll get over it, lol. Wow, your lips do look fuller. Enjoyed spending time with you, my friend. Blessings, and love...MaryEllen

    Watching your video now and your comment about all the brushes and sponges ( for applying face makeup/ foundation) coming full circle and going back to the ways we did it before ( not your words exactly but you know what I mean). I was just thinking that exact same thing the other day
    And as far as you feeling insecure if you go out in public without your makeup done or not feeling like you look your best...You truly do look beautiful just the way you are! You look young and fresh and even without makeup you look like someone who takes pride in how they look and we can tell that you take very good care of yourself!!
    So don't stress! Just keep doing what you are doing!
    Oh and before I forget...Love your beauty mark!!! It's perfection!!

    Oh Jenifer, I laughed so much when you mentioned powdering your forehead! I was on the edge of my seat just h o p i n g for you to say that you feel it looks bumpy or something, because lately I have been noticing the same thing on my forehead! And I was like where did THAT come from all of a sudden?!! One more thing to take care of, hahaha!
    Having said that, I must say that you are such a classy lady. So beautiful in such a fine, regal way. You look like a delicate medieval princess and you come across as such a sweet, endearing person, nothing fake or contrived about you. You are so humble , realistic and funny. I love your videos and really look forward to them. xoxoxo
    P.S. Have you tried eyelash extensions? They are SO worth the money! They instantly make you look fresh and young. It's really money VERY well spent! You won't regret it!

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  7 років тому

      Hi Eva 😊Lol! Yes, my forehead has begun to look lumpy lately. It's like the muscles are getting stronger or something. Ha! But a lot of powder really helps to camouflage it. Thank God for makeup right?! 😄 I actually just started to look into eye lash extensions. My only fear is that they will be heavy and pull down on my eyelids. Do you have them? How long do they typically last? Thank you for your sweet comments! 😌😘

    • @evac.7762
      @evac.7762 7 років тому

      Yes, I do have eyelash extensions and they are the best thing ever! I find that I don't even need mascara when I have them. You wake up in the morning and the whole "tired eye" thing is a non-issue, I swear. I got them for the first time 2 years ago and I have gotten them 3 more times. I usually get them in the winter when I'm working and want to look polished, and I kind of let them gradually fall off throughout the summer and compensate by wearing mascara, since all the sweat, humidity and swimming will speed up the shedding anyway. I also think it's good to take a break every now and then.
      The people at the salon had told me that they would last 6 months, but that was not true. How long they last depends on a variety of things, such as how you treat them ( you should avoid rubbing your eyes too much, or using any kind of oil or mascara remover on them which will weaken the eyelash glue, etc) They might tell you that you can wear mascara with extensions, and I did the first time I got them, but I don't any more, because it drastically reduced their "life span".
      I found that they started falling out a few at a time, as my natural eyelashes started to shed, but still looked overall great for about 3 to 4 months, at which point I simply went and had them add extra lashes where I was missing them. You dont have to wait until they all fall out before you get extras added on. Of course, you pay around half the price for that service. ( A full set of 80 lashes in my case costs around 70 to 80 euros at a good salon here in Greece).
      Concerning the style of lash, since my natural eyelashes are quite short and fine, and have become sparser than they used to be, I couldn't just slap on whatever I wanted. There are lots of different kinds, thicknesses, and lengths, curled or straighter, natural human hair or silk, etc. The eyelash technician usually has a good idea about what will work for you. I get about 40 very fine lashes glued onto each eye, and they make a real difference, I'll tell you that! It's something I plan to keep on treating myself to forever. Do it Jenifer. You will wonder why you didn't do it earlier.
      The pay-off is instantaneous and you will look like a million dollars, not that you don't already! The extra thick lashes also kind of camouflage the hoodedness(!) of our eyes! Yay!! If you do get them, it would make for an interesting vlog too! xoxoxox

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  7 років тому +3

      Oh my gosh, you make it sound so awesome! And I bet you're right! Beautiful eyelashes are so youthful, they really open up the eyes and help camouflage extremely hooded eyes. When I watch women apply fake store bought lashes here on youtube, they look so beautiful once they have them on. I know I'll be hooked if I decide to go that route. It really does sound worth the cost. Even if they only last 2-3 months. Thank you for all the information!!

    • @evac.7762
      @evac.7762 7 років тому +3

      You're welcome! I must add this: the fake lashes may look pretty on video, but you can always tell who's wearing them. The band is always obvious to me, and they are somehow "planted" too close to each other if that makes sense. Extensions are exactly like the real thing. They do NOT look like false eyelashes at all. They look like your own lashes. :)) Which makes them totally worth it.

    I think you and I are the same person! I do the same things (come down hard on myself) one way I talk myself out of always doing this (btw-it's the whole 'laugh with me not at me' thing) i remind myself that my daughter sees and hears me and I want her to be and always remain a strong woman so I have to be strong and appreciate what everyone, who loves and complements me, appreciates. Those memories of tight flawless features make me proud but so does my 42 year old reflection!! You should be proud of your beauty!!!!!

      You totally got your point across! 😊 I try to be careful not to criticize myself in front of my daughter for the reasons you mentioned. I mess up every now and then and say something like, "I look so tired" but for the most part I try not to say stuff like that in front of her becasue I don't want her to view herself under a microscope the way that I do. My mom was NEVER like that, so I don't know where I learned it from, but I hear what you're saying and I totally agree. 😊

    I am laughing out loud because that is a direct quote from my husband also! AND, I say the same thing also! I'm just putting it out there before critics say it first! Lol I grew up being teased about every part of my body so I've heard it all and know that there are people in this world that will always tell me all the flaws I own so, I just own it first! Haha coming from an almost 50 year old,,,,,,,,,,,you look Great!!! Shani :)

    I love your GRWM videos! Very glad that you are feeling better! I think the self deprecating thing is a defense mechanism, I do it too and my husband says the same thing. It's hard to see ourselves aging. Also (in my case ) it's a southern thing unfortunately. I tried very hard to raise my daughter not to do that. :) And I need the lip injection stuff!! Wow!

    omg ur SO BEAUTIFUL!! I'm 29 and u look better than me! ...ur figure, ur bone structure... just everything! ur that type who's SO naturally beautiful without makeup, that when u do wear makeup it just enhances ur beauty!! BTW can you possibly do a video showing how you tattoo your eyebrows! I know you said in the previous video that you don't want to make a video about it because you don't want to encourage others to tattoo their own eyebrows at home, which I wouldn't have the courage to do it to myself or anything but I'm just really interested in how in the world one does that and I think I'll be really cool and entertaining to watch

      Yes, it does burn. It's tolerable, but there's definitely a burning sensation. It seems to dissipate within about 3-4 minutes and then you're left with swollen, bright red lips. Lol! But it definitely works! 😊

    Love this vid! So sorry you all have been ill, but its lovely hearing the kids in the background 🙂, i know you've said a few times you've tattooed your own brows which is pretty amazing, id be way to scared to try that myself lol, but have you seen the micro blading that seems to be getting popular now? Im really curious about it for myself and thought maybe it would make a great video for your channel! 😍🙏🙂

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  7 років тому +1

      I have seen it, and I think the imediate resluts look fantastic, but the intensity of the color seems to fade quite a bit within a few months. I really wanted a more filled in, eyebrow powder look since my eyebrows are naturally so dark, but also extremely thin from decades of over-plucking. But honestly, I don't think I would ever let anyone else tattoo my face....as odd as that may sound. If I mess up, I only have myself to blame. 😉 I know Dominique Sachse has a video about her experience with micro-blading, you may want to check it out. She's awesome! 😊

    Is it difficult to take off the Waterproof mascara? What do you use? I would imagine getting your lips tattooed would hurt like the devil. The lip area is so sensitive. Have you ever tried Revitalash Eyelash Serum to help your eyelashes grow?

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  7 років тому

      I have not tried the eye lash serum, but have heard wonderful things about it. Might need give it a shot. I typically use the Garnier Micellar Water for Waterproof makeup. I apply a tad to my eyelashes with a q-tip and then remove it with a makeup wipe. Comes off super easy. 😊

    Oh no being sick sucks!
    I'm glad you all are feeling a bit better now.
    I came across an advertisement on the Internet and the ad's promo picture looks a lot like you.
    I would include the ad pic to my comment but I can't find a feature for me to use to attach it / include it with my comment.
    I hope you and the family will feel tons better in the next day or two.
    Take it easy
    Oh BTW the reason why I mentioned the ad pic to you because not only does it look a lot like you BUT doesn't look like a professional picture... it looks more like a screen shot picture (strange)

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  7 років тому +1

      Jenifer Jenkins,
      I'm glad that you are fully aware of that ad picture.
      It's truly a shame that there isn't anything you can do about it as that company is deliberately misleading the public.
      Well anyway... again, I'm glad you're aware of the picture even though there's nothing you can do about it.
      Wishing you and yours a blessed week ahead.

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  7 років тому +6

      I purchased a permanent makeup electric tatoo pen and some dark-brown permanent makeup ink online and went to town. Of course I steralized everything first. But I had to do it at least 4-5 times because I was very modest in my approach each time. Didn't want to go overboard with it and regret it. 😉

      Jenifer Jenkins I would be so scared that I would mess up! I have to pencil in my eyebrows every day and I am so tired of it, but getting them tattooed scares me. You are amazing! Cut your own hair, color your own hair and tattoo your own eyebrows. I want to be you! 😀
