- Being a pattern tester is something I have been diving more into recently and it has been such a fun experience connecting with other sewists, getting to know pattern designers, and creating new pieces! In this video I am hoping to share all the details you might be wondering about being a pattern tester, but if you have further questions drop a comment and I would be happy to chat.

A tip when you’re printing your patterns from Adobe, you can click the layer button and then uncheck all the layers but your size and it will only print your size!
Loved this video. I just bought this pattern and am so excited to make it!
Great tips! I'm so excited to see you make the Eleonora dress!
Ooohh…I’ll have to try that sometime!
Have fun sewing the dress💕
This is definitely something that I would like to do.
You should! It’s a great way to learn new skills and try out different style of clothing and patterns💕
I loved watching your pattern testers vlog! Your Eleonora dresses are one of my favorites 🤍
Yay! Thank you! Always a dream making your patterns!
Hi Madison, your dress is lovely! I bought the elenora pattern a few weeks ago and printed it off but havent started it! I was curious about your buttonhole and other tweaks. Do you have a blog where you share these details?
I don’t currently have a blog for my projects, but the pattern directions are pretty detailed from all the tester feedback, I would make a mockup of the top of your worried though
Definitely love to help!
I'm starting to think that it's worth it to send it to Office Depot or Staples and have them print it because by the time I spend the money on ink and the paper and the time… I feel like it would be worth the money.
It’s interesting that you don’t always follow the pattern instructions (eg pockets). Is that something you feed back to the designer?
If I find another method that would be better to understand the pattern I share that with the designer, in this case I just have a way I’ve always done pockets that looks the same as other methods…same goes for attaching sleeves too, I have a method that differs from patterns
@@MaddieLynn thanks for answering

You can definitely do that, but I’ve gotten a good system down for assembling my pattern and I honestly think it’s fun :)
@@MaddieLynn I appreciate the idea of folding them I don't know why I never thought to do that instead of cutting the edges. Lol
