He also has a habit of ignoring movement speed upgrades. I don't know whether he just confuses them for extra dashes or what but I can't recall him ever picking one even when he's complaining about how slow he moves.
I don't think you read the whole tooltip. The tower fires twice as fast as you so it puts your attack speed at 33% and the tower's at 67%. You still have the exact same total attack speed, but 2/3 of it still works when you're moving.
Area damage upgrade, area slowdown, the tornado.. yet consistently ignores the upgrade where you get a larger area. Maybe an architect secretly did this run? I still enjoy these videos for how maddening they can be 😂

@@LolSho0orTs yes, their is, I found out when doing like Infamy level 17 all of a Sudden the game continued and there is a 3rd boss. Though we didn't see it here cause he was playing the luck character, and picking greys, and swapped builds multiple times, lol.

The splitting upgrade is so nice, especially lategame with hords. Since every projektile gets 35% thats a dmg increase by 5% and it works on the cactus. And it helps spread the poison. but overall, it helps to increase the chance of hitting. 1 of 3 hitting is still better than it not splitting and missing. And with the slowing i think itd been the better choice
@@TKainZero depends and not realy a early game upgrade and given the choise to choose the 3shot or back shot they are def better. Probobly more like a mid tier upgrade
In all fairness, if you do the math it doesn't lose you any attack speed. It just gives it to your turret. Which means you are free to move around the screen without losing a chunk of your attack speed while moving.
@@Krell356 Not really.... You have 30/s Attack speed. You pick the turret. Now your Attack speed is 10/s. Turret gets 20/s. If you have effects, that rely on many bullets then you just lost 1/3 of your power. Plus you have to stay near your turret.

Which again means combined you have 30/sec but while moving still have 20/sec whereas normally you drop to a maximum of around 2/sec with stutter stepping. The turret is arguably better the faster your attack speed since you lose less dps from moving.

@@Catraaa no, because after the final boss the enemies begin getting bonus stats faster than you can level up. You will lose eventually no matter what you do or what skills you pick.
You need to do the dash build. - Rob3rt is the easiest choice as it deals with bosses - Avoid anything that reduces damage - Take anything that improves dashes exception is the health +30s dash untill you have all dashes at once perk. (It sound counter intuitive but once you have this and a decent cool down you'll never die.) - Dash reg reduced 50% when moving is the best - Dont take 10% increase to damage everytime you dash it can just kill you. - Ignore crit chance improvements you'll get 100% with the dash object is 1.5s it stacks so you'll end up always have 100% critic the entire time in the end. - Improve damage, critic damage% - Cool down>Dashes>Damage/Critc%>Area> Everything else just got so high me and the enemy reached a equilibrium. Bounty ~350k i just gave up after spending 15mins just dashing in circles not killing anything.
"I'm gonna get 2 extra choices for everything, and I'll be totally stacked!" *proceeds to ignore every gold and purple upgrade that would benefit all the abilities he has.
Just a tip to achieve a chance at fighting a big boss, go with options that boost potential dps the most by percentage so by doing 50 damage a hit that is the best for potential damage phase one and so I recommend boosting attack speed and crit to make it even stronger by no ability standard, when you get distance dependent abilities go for speed, cooldown and dash abilities I recommend cooldown boost and dash and heath abilities go for dash and health increases, do upgrade damage once enemies start taking more hits
Roger can be super rough at the start, especially if you play at the difficulty level where each hit takes 2 lives. That being said, especially with the extra choice upgrade, you can get some RIDICULOUSLY BROKEN builds with him. I find it really helps the start to have the black market upgrade that boosts damage. Should get you 1-hit kills on the little ones at the start.
You should try the game World of Goo. It’s about building structures to get goo to pipes and it’s got some engineering concepts like poly bridge. Plus it has a cool storyline
If you have low chance to crit don't bother with crit damage and take regular damage The problem that you and others do in the later pats of the game is you ignore getting more dash and dash recharge
honestly, I'm just having an aneurysm every time Matt picks an upgrade without even looking at what he has available, even though as someone with around 90 hours in Vampire Survivors I understand he probably knows what the upgrades are just from the icons.
12:45 This sounds like an architect calculation. 1/6 chance? 😂 This would mean there are only 36 different options, because you would then have a 6/36 chance.
This build really fell apart with the exploding criticals - which cancelled out piercing and bouncing. Then you went BACK to pierce again at the end and lost explosions.
6:56 "you dont get purples very often". Matt you skipped soo many range upgrades that you could have had a build around range covering the entire screen already. you skipped like 5 purple and 1 gold range upgrades.
I don't understand why you'd ever take the turret cause sure it shoots twice as fast as you, but your attack speed gets cut by 3 meaning that it just takes 2/3rds of your attack speed and the net gain is... nothing, you just get 2/3 of your shots coming from the turret instead of protecting you where it's needed.
Pro: RCE learned from previous games and makes deliberate choices instead of just going by rarity Contra: RCE somehow managed to learn all the wrong things...
Take the right upgrade path you can become literally indestructible. Well Indestructible in the sense that you will get too bored playing waiting to die and just quit.
Going from two shots per minion to one shot per minion is huge in the early game. It's like having double attack speed. Something tells me the devs gave him Roger. If you spend 100 points in the Black Market, you'd have at least SOME upgrades at the beginning that he clearly didn't have.

So the devs must have given him the luck based character. this one was painful to watch. doesnt take cooldowns for all his abilities, takes more health for damage multiplier rather then BASE damage increase, doubles damage but attacks 3 times slower, and takes counter intuitive abilities. has two abilities effected by moving, but focuses on the 1 that wants him to stand his ground. RCE your an engineer, not an archetic. build a bridge OR a tunnel, not a tunnel bridge.

You picked a character specializing in rerolling items for higher grade items, then proceeded to NEVER REROLL ONCE. Truly an architect if I must say so myself.
3:30 why does health even matter? You shouldn’t be counting on getting hit this early in the game anyways. You also need to kill the bosses before they stack up. Why not kill the rolling boss early instead of running around? The more time you spend running, the less time you spend attacking and the mobs will just swarm you.

I can't handle this series. The upgrade choices are just staggering. It drives me nuts.

Once you got pierce and bounce it was really good. Since it would go through an enemy and hit the one behind it and bounce back into the first enemy.
