- Even with $250,000 on my head they still couldn't kill me. Who knew shooting hundreds of arrows every second would make you so overpowered? I still got to find the most overpowered build in this game...

Love the video, also a tip is I think you underestimate projectile speed, if they move at half speed, you're shooting twice as many arrows at one guy who only needs to be shot once
Does it matter if there will always be an enemy behind that one though?
That's not problem when the screen is swamped with enemies though. Also the inaccuracy "debuff" is helpful in that it spreads out the shots so it's more likely to hit other targets
So how many more episodes of this game will we see before DF realizes that cooldown reduction affects things like dodge recharge and his orbiting arrow ability?
He will never realize and stop playing it.
With how many comments there have been, he probably knows and just doesn’t care. Having pure damage and ignoring all else is kind of a staple of his channel at this point
FWIW the best way to get to 400,000 bounty is to stack attack speed.

the upgrade that could have pushed this just a bit further is the one that heals you for 2 every time you take 2 damage in quick succession. It wouldnt have lasted forever, but it would have been a nice touch.
Also, DF, try unlocking the other characters. The mage character in particular that you unlock via stacking CDR would be super fun to see you mess with, because it plays TOTALLY differently than the base character
i mean, the crit explosion upgrade would have probably at least doubled the damage output of this.
Df has the most relaxing voice of any youtuber. No screaming, no agressive, in your face editing, just calm commentary. I wish more youtubers were like this
It really helps me sleep so I save the videos for 1am and fall asleep relaxed and entertained.

Your commentary makes your videos fantastically entertaining.
Couple things: Shut off damage numbers in your options and performance will improve a bit. Also, dash to avoid things rather than walking and your temporary attack speed boost won't disappear.
I wonder just how low dash cooldowns can go. Would be pretty cool to see non-stop dashing + with the effects you can add to dashes like healing or explosions.
If you stack cooldown reduction then you can get them down to just 0.1% eventually, plus an extra 30% cooldown reduction from one of the dash items for just 0.07%. Assuming you stick with just the minimum dash items you can actually recover dashes faster than you can use them, which can get kinda crazy with the Steampunk Boots.

Me getting excited when df actually has a strategy and then realizing it starts with damage and going bananas
Helpful tip: Dashing doesn't count as moving, so you can use them and still count as standing still for the speed upgrade.

Triple the amount of arrows flooding the screen but lose a small bit of attack speed prior to the double attack speed from standing still... hard choices (this is sarcasm, should always take that triple shot if you already firing laser beams)

16:13 it is good because it does 3 more arrows which is 100% more and does 30% less attack speed which is made up by 3 times more arrows
Hopefully DF can see this. You can also just dodge and keep your attack speed boost, instead of moving and needing it to charge back up again.
Idk if anyone has commented this already but the aoe and the pickup changes the wind around u that sometimes keep a arrow u fire it increases the number of circles of arrows/bolts that u have after a wile but it will increase the area of the bolts/arrows until it is t he max of only one circle

you should try a pure attack damage and attack speed strat with abilities that will compliment it. it worked really well for me

Consider that if you never picked up that 3 times less damage with the 4 times more shot speed. You'd have 10000 per shot lol
The way that Attack Speed upgrade works is that if you not get hit for 120 secs, you gain 10% attack speed permanently. You can do this 5 times and gain 50%.

i feel like when you goes with crit, attack speed, and bounce. pierce when crit is the last thing you want to take.
i mean it rather be making the arrow bounce around you rather than goes further away
Yeah Bounce only happens after the Pierce is done. Although with Pierce on crit there is just a cap of 5 enemies anyway, after which the bounce should happen, but because the arrows are so deep into the enemy lines they just hit those bounces at pretty much the same time.

He had an amazing build till he chose the slower projectiles. The main reason he wasn't even seeing the enemies was the fact the the arrows reached them before they could get on the screen. Slowing them down made it so that he would shoot a ton of arrows at a single enemy, but they would die in like two leading to him spending extra time shooting at that same enemy for no reason. I'm glad he chose to return some of that speed after a while and his run turned out pretty good considering, but I still think he should have kept his arrow speed from the get go.
I'm also surprised at how he didn't notice how much farther away his ring of arrows was getting every area of effect upgrade.
At the end, wasn't there always an enemy behind the first one to get shot at anyways?
@@Ultimaximus Yeah, but because of the extra time he spent shooting that direction it gave enemies fron all other directions a longer time before they were shot. This let's the enemies slowly get closer and closer surrounding him.
@@bsnook981 Ah, that makes sense. Even if he was always shooting an enemy, it would've still been better to shoot the closest enemies earlier/faster

He did the _same thing_ last time as well. Had a good build, chose that bad upgrade and then the run went downhill. Slowing down your projectiles is bad, period. Gives more time for enemies to reach you, wastes time shooting enemies that would've already been dead.

The moment you got "crits cause piercing" is where it went down hill, cuz your arrows don't bounce anymore, taking away your arrow storm of doom.

At least he still ended up with 80%, so it's not too bad I would say. Although his choice of upgrades sometimes is just so weird. But that's just DF for everything.

DF. ANY TIME i see you take something besides cooldown i flip my shit. Cooldown is MULTIPLICATIVE DAMAGE INCREASE with things that do damage on a cooldown. Like the tornado projectiles or the cactus projectile spitter.
a 10% reduction of cooldown is actually 11% more fire rate on cooldowns. Multiplicatively. A 20% is a 25% increase. Once again, multiplicatively.

31.1-30%=21.77x3=65.31 thats is the math for the triple bullet upgrade you should’ve chose it and it also increases the bouncing bullets and the amounts of crits

The health scaling of NPCs is quite unbalanced from what I see.. the curve jumps from getting 2-3 shoted to tanking 30, then 300 shots in 5 minutes
