Hello! If ive got wifi within access to my spypoint cameras, is there a way to just allow connection to WiFi rather than cellular?
Hey, Southern Speed Solutions! Thanks for checking out our products! We have two types of cameras: CELLULAR and NON-CELLULAR. As of now, we do not have any cameras that functions with WIFI only. We appreciate your suggestion as this would also help us learn more on what to develop for our customers.
Feel free to check this link to see our available cameras: www.spypoint.com/en/products/trail-cameras
I have a LM2 in an area without coverage. Is there any way to completely disable transfers to prevent the camera from draining the batteries?
Hello Martin, to disable the transmission of your camera, you will need to go on your app and switch off the cellular option, if you are facing any issues with your camera signal kindly try the following recommendations:
Check if the antenna is screwed properly.
Turn the camera OFF, move around, and turn it back ON.
Avoid valleys and bottoms.
Find a sparse area, and avoid areas with dense foliage.
Avoid large metal/concrete buildings.
Try the long-range cellular antenna (#CA-01) - Long-range cellular antenna, if the issue persists kindly send us a private message on our official page, so we can offer you the assistance needed facebook.com/spypoint.
I have a question you need to answer please! I am not going to pay monthly for this camera plan. I am going to do the 100 pictures in 1 month span deal. What are the recommeded settings for this to like not use much photoes per day? PLEASE READ!
Do not buy these cameras when they stop working they continue to charge you and make it impossible to cancel
Hi there, please send us a private message with the detailed information you have so we can assist you and provide you with a solution. Thank you.
I was just listening to the transfer intervals by hours. He says 24, 12, 4 or 12 hour intervals. I think the correct intervals by hours is 24, 12, 4 or 2 hour intervals.
Hi Howard, the transfer frequency range is 1 times, 2 times, 6 times, 12 times and each detection. If you have any more questions please reach out to us on live chat. Here's the link for the support chat: www.spypoint.com/en/chat (8:30 am/5 pm EST) -PL
I think I got a lemon this time. This thing eats batteries over 24hrs and not sending pictures. I'll try another brand.
Hi there James , we would suggest using AA lithium batteries non-rechargeable to increase the battery life and we also sell a 12V battery on the website that would help . If this problem persists please reach out to our customer service who will gladly assist you with this : www.spypoint.com/en/chat -EM
@@Spypoint used lithium batteries the first setup but they didn't last a week. Using energizer now. This last time the batteries were dead in 12hours.
Haven't made it through first 30days and changed batteries 4 times. At this rate I would be better off to just buy a reconyx and save money on batteries.
In that case , we would suggest reaching out to our customer service on the live chat who will gladly assist you further with this matter : www.spypoint.com/en/chat -EM
had picture's sent fir 24 hrs on two cameras...which are 3 hrs away ...then after 24 hrs NOTHING status shows 100 on batt 100 on connection..card is good.. BUT NOTHING wow my barn owl cams worked for a solid yr before problems ...THERE HAD GOT TO BE GOOD CAMERAS OUT THERE... REALLY DISAPPOINTED
What does it mean when you have reached your 30 days history , can't seam to find anything on this note
No the question becomes why it wasn’t this in the manual that came with it
My phone won't notice my camera. Why? Brand new. Says this camera has not yet reported
Where is the settings menu how do I get to it. It just says my camera hasnt reported yet
Hey Kyle, you can access the settings by clicking on "Cameras" in the bottom corner on your Spypoint app, then you'll have to click on "Settings" right underneath the camera's icon that you choose.
@Spypoint I can't click on the camera icon, it just says that the camera has not reported yet
Hey Kyle, that means that the camera hasn't communicated, please contact us either via Web chat through our website, Facebook Messenger through our main Facebook page, or call our customer support hotline so we can assist you adequately.
@Spypoint I tried the day later and it worked
Looks like it only keeps 2 months of photos? My first photos are not longer viewable on the app! What's up with that?
I've bought 4 cameras and I have yet to get them to send photos to my app. Ive spent hours on the phone with different tech's and my problem still exists. I know the cameras take photos because they're right beside me. I've never had so much trouble setting up a game camera. It's ridiculous!
I agree!
I would say make sure you have a strong signal. Two of mine work to of mine don’t. The ones that do work are the ones with the best signal. I have actually invested in a cellular booster at times also and some of my more Remote locations don’t pay attention to what the app is telling you if it’s saying three out of five bars or four out of five bars listen do your own research make sure you have a line of sight to the closest cell Tower. Also make sure that your signal is not getting wiped out by a nearby tower that’s coming from a different direction the stuff can get a little bit complicated I learned when I bought my booster more about it
Also if you’re inside which is what you’re implying by saying your cameras are right next to you put them outside. Fiddle around with the antenna.
@@jclar3565 I've had 1 camera outside for months in a fairly open spot. I live in the woods, so a clear line of sight isn't possible where I need the cameras to be. I gave up fooling with them after I originally left my first comment. Im thinking about trying again but I'm doubtful they'll work for me, which is a shame because I really need a camera that can send photos in real time. Thank you for the info. I will give it another go soon.
My camera only takes pictures at 711am and 1130 am. WTF... thank god i have another cam thats on video mode. needless to say spypoint cam suck. ooo yea spypoint i have plenty of deer picture. and videos that this cam didt pic up detection.
Good day, Matthews. We hope you are well. Please make sure that your schedule in the advanced settings is on for the whole day and not only between specific hours. I noticed there are 2 sim cards stacked on each other behind the battery tray in the MICRO. One has spypoint logo and the other is AT&T. Is there a way to just insert a sim card from a cell phone and just call into it with the number associated to the sim card we use?
Hello! No, the camera is linked with the SIM card number inside the camera and can't be change. You don't have to call any network company to have the sim card work. -TP
Can’t upgrade plan
What happens if i use a 64gb micro sd on a link micro?
If the capacity of the SD card isn't the one recommended, it can create issues with the cameras. If you worry about the space, the camera with delete the oldest picture on the SD card to be able to add the new one. -TP
My app has no settings
Hi there! We would suggest trying to reinstall the application, it should correct the matter. If the issue still persists, please contact us at: www.spypoint.com/en/support. Thank you-EM

I am confused about the transfer frequency, does this mean that it will only send pictures at those times? If I select first transfer Time at 7 am, is it only going to send me pictures at that time?
Hi there! The transfer frequency indicates how many times the camera will send the pictures it has taken over. For example, if the transfer frequency is on ''6 times a day'' it will send all the pictures it has taken every 4 hours. As for the first transfer time, it indicates when the camera will make its first transfer in the day. If it's on ''12 times a day'' it will send every 2 hours etc. Hope this helps! Thank you-EM
