On Acres of Clay channel Ronda uses cut down or fallen trees to make her vegetable beds and she grows a beautiful garden. I have not watched that channel in a while so this is a good reminder for me to go back to their channel. They are a dairy farm actually. It is great you were able to find a good resource for lumber. Stay Safe and God Bless.
We made raised beds our first yr.. then we went in ground.. but things are everywhere because of the black walnut trees.. but I think.. potatoes and sweet potatoes need raised beds.. we had too many screws last yr.. Love free lumber!!🥰
The roots should grow through the wire in the bottom of the raised beds. That is a great resource for lumber. I read Tung oil or natural Linseed oil that is used for cutting boards will extend the life of the wood. I'm not sure how much it cost but maybe you can spray it and it could go farther. Stay Safe and God Bless.
