Lucky! I got Skybreaker as first spawn after making this. Couldn't touch his shields. And that's with 154dps at 2-3k orbit. Not to mention this fit has no cap to run the booster for more than 30 secs or so. Can you say utter fail! So just a warning if you think this might work. Sure, it may last if you don't get any ugly spawns.. but there are really MUCH better T0 fits out there.. Acefaces Punisher comes to mind. I was hoping to pull in a Merlin fit to possibly do some off-brand cheaper abyssals. I knew going in this had little chance..but it's a cheap test. But to the channel op, seriously? You make one run and post a fit? Kinda lame if ya ask me.
Hi Mark. How do you choose between passive an active tank? I begun doing abys recently with a passive tank Caracal. Calms are easy. Now seeing your fit the question came to my mind. When is it better to use an active tank? Cheers !
Good question. For these sites is is really just knowing /hoping the passive tank has enough HP to get you through what ever you need to do. Now I have seen how much damage comes in on these sites I think a passive tank could make it through and will be trying. Ship fitting restraints may also guide you, Capacitor demands are relevant, what else needs it etc. Passive tank is a little 'easier' and can get very exciting as seen in many of the vids, did you see the passive Caracal in the T2? Electrical filaments point to an active tank for obvious reasons xD
I have for science brought a salvager into 13k fillaments and salvaged the biocache/extracter wrecks and every time they have just found nothing of value however it does remove the wreck from the site. I am willing to say you never will get salvage from the wrecks unless they specifically make a change.
Could be the ammo type and or your skills. I created a new caldari yesterday, and haven't train anything besides Surgical Strike (mandatory for the tutorial) as it was just to look at something from a beginner perspective. Looking at the fit now with that toon, and he gets 103.7 dps with the Federal Navy Antimatter. Skill wise, the Merlin gets 5% damage bonus for every level of Caldari Frigate, so boost it to level 4 and you should have aboutt 120 dps with that. The next skill you'll want is Small Hybrid Turret, which also gives 5% bonus of damage per level. So boost this one to level 4 as well and you should be around 135dps. Finally, boost your Surgical Strike for 3% damage per level, and Rapid Fire and Gunnery to increase the rate of fire (obviously also help with dps) If you have all of the above at level 4, you should have 150dps. I mentionned the ammo type, just in case you made a mistake when loading the ammo. Thorium has a better range, but is about 25% weakest than the antimatter.
great video, it's always fun play around with frigates
Love the idea of going in with a Tristan. Would like to see that. Thanks for the videos, they're a great help. Andyt
Coming soon!
I'd suggest a Punisher for the Amarr toon would probably handle similar to the Merlin from this vid I reckon.
Cheers for the video Mark🤞😎

You should put the game log on your screen so you can fully see what damage you're taking and doing etc.
Yes it might be useful with all these new guys pewing us, thanks for the idea ! xD
Ok I'll test out the salvaging right now... ok NVM I lied Im too tired, I'll do it tmrw
i thought, there are no wrecks in the abyss. i dont usually have them on my overview so didnt think about it..

Are you keeping your skill at or below the max for Alpha?
Can you please get a copy paste-able fit?
I had to pop out before i could get in the game to do it, it is done, now.. xD
@@daddex9222 I would love to see you run some of these in a solo Sunesis!
