Random Dude - I know they are a lot more expensive, but the heavier shield and armour on the Faction drones means they survive a bit better, and fitting a remote reppper in one of those empty top slots might help - if you have the power/cpu left.
Yes navy drones are nice and tanky, my Navy Vespas tanked all the aggro on a level 4 mission in a vid. Amarr drones have more HP but in their armour, the vespas are self healing with their shield regen :) TBH I was trying to keep cost down a bit, but i plan to do a vid all about drones herding basics and will talk about the value of faction drones there o7
Great video Mark! I always enjoy your content and perspective on Eve. I usually run T2-T4 and love getting the ship blueprints in the Abyss. They are good sellers in Dodixie and Jita. The game play is more challenging in Abyssals as you have mentioned several times in videos which is another thing I like.
Can't wait for the FF4A! Hope to get a shot off at you before I go up in smoke.

For the Frigate Free For All, I wasn't sure it was going to happen this year, as my Gallente alt had some stuff in the structure over there, (from last year), and it was moved to Safety a few weeks/months ago. Glad it is happening again. o7

G’day fella. Sheesh, that was a close call! Abyss experiences have been fairly relaxed so far… apart from speeding out of the boundary after getting heavily pewed and almost dying as a result. Schoolboy error! IGN TestoSlaine.
Yeah the slingshot out of the arena can catch you out, i think one of our thrashers hit over 3k a second in one..... It really depends on what you are flying, I like excitement! The order they come in can be as relevant as what they are too.

Using drone boats for PVE can be a vastly different experience depending on what content you do with it. AFK Haven Ratting with Ishtars or using smaller drone boats in the abyss or event sites.

I did pend some time 'afk' ratting Havens in a VNI when that worked. Great to clear your sec status and make ISK.

I tried this very build & its certainly challenging, espcially as i dont have max skills, Took me 4 tried untill i managed to clear one & in that last one i ran into not just that drone killing, it had 2 buddies helping so even with crazy drone juggling it managed to kill all my drones, still missiles took care of it. Probably shouldnt do this to make isk longterm. But its a really good drone boat for other things. Like i took it to a l3 narcotics warehouse mission & it managed to do it without sweating, still needed to juggle drones a bit & worst case you can just break off, repair & contiunes where you left off. Easy 170mill i got yesterday ;)
Yeah but only on that run, the drones usually get a much easier ride to be fair. And the Dragoon made it out with the loot:) I don't lose many ships in there but if I do it is because of lack of DPS and the timer gets me, the most frustrating way to fail :) I also like to show less used ships and how to get them through. If ISK per hour is your KPI then punisher electrical runs would probably win on tier 1, but be rather dull. I do point this out in the vids a lot. Check this website, it shows what people are running and the loot drops abysstracker.com/ A Thrasher is fun reliable ship for tier one, but some love the Corax. I try to keep the ships and fits cheap too... Destroyers are great for 3/10 and draw mush less attention for those low sec/ null sec escalations too.
Very exciting abyssal run! It is always a roll of the dice to see what room you get. Since you typically maintain range, would it make sense to have a target-painter instead of the web?
With this fit yes a painter may be a good thing to have since tracking isn't really an issue. I will give it a go. I do use painters a lot on missile boats, many seem to lack appreciation for them though, silly them. o7

Hi , I am new and I have a question. I see ppls saying in the abyss you can find marshals room and they can kill you. I want to know , can you find it in every tier ? and how strong they are in T1 ,2,3 ? Or maybi you can made a video about it . IGN : Terrific Life
Why the web over, perhaps, a Target Painter or a Drone Navigation Augmenter?
A painter would be a good alternative for sure with this set up as there are no tracking issues and I use them lot on missile ships. I was thinking of the mobs of fast rats but they have proved to be no issue at all. Most of the problem rats are bigger than us so application is not a great issue in general. And when i use a painter I will will get a 'why you bothering with a painter' comment, just you watch !! :) o7
