  • Decided I better go trolling for some trout before the end of the season. Probably should have just stayed in bed! On a positive note some of my new lures did a pretty good job.
I'm adding new stuff all the time to my Etsy shop. Check it out.

Never a bad day on the lake, some fishing and some are catching. Both are good. Those lures looked cool.

Definitely enjoyed my time. Can’t believe it was still so hot. I am excited to do some more trolling. Your videos have inspired me to get back into that method of fishing. I always like trying new techniques and trolling seems to have a million different approaches to trying and figure out.

Weird that they're working on Upper again. They had it super low last fall for the same reason.
Back in May both were full like this, and we were slow on lower but caught a bunch on Upper.
Thank you for taking us along!! Made me seriously miss Wyoming, and I've only been away for a week. 😢

I definitely needed to be on upper yesterday. I have had my fill of Lower Sunshine humble pie. Any suggestions on a mountain lake that I might try with my boat? I am not sure if I could launch at Sibley Lake and I haven’t been to Meadowlark before. I would just run the trolling motor of course. I want to buy a kayak but I get tired of paying Uncle Sam for every little tax. One boat is expensive enough.

I think you'd be fine at Meadowlark. It's not huge, but it has a nice ramp.
Trolling motor is pretty much all you need. And there's little traffic. On Sunday before Labor Day there was two kayaks and a rowboat with an electric trolling motor.
I pulled in a nice (and tasty) rainbow from the north shore.

Sweet! I will try and check it out very soon. Thanks for the info. I wish I had my Duramax to get up that hill. I have been waiting almost a year for a transmission control module! Buy American. 😂

Good deal! I’m glad to know that it wasn’t just me. Sorry it was slow for you as well. I bet when things cool down a bit, they will get hungry again! Tight lines and we will catch with you buddy.

Your toys worked. I was afraid you forgot how to catch trout. I’m sure you caught hell when you got home without glasses

My sweetheart had a new pair ordered before I got back home. Hopefully one day I will grow up and be more responsible! 😂

Joe! Are you still alive or did Gina get ahold of you!? 😂😂😂 oh man I was crying laughing at that. Probably rewatched it 5 times. Hate to laugh at a guys misfortune but man that was funny. Do we get to see the bloopers of you actually losing your glasses in the drink?? 😂 Anyway, smoke signal me or something and let me know you’re still with us!

Oh man! That sweet girl had me glasses ordered before I even left Cody to come home. I thought about jumping in the lake because they were falling very slowly. Only problem was, my trolling motor was on, and I couldn’t think fast enough to shut it down. As I think about it later, I should’ve run to the back of the boat and grabbed the net and saved myself $100, oh well, she always told me that I treat my glasses like a fourth grade child. I guess I just proved her point. I’ve never really lost much in the open water, but Ice Fishng is a different story. I’ve lost cell phones, fishing rods, and even a short wave radio Over the years. Usually trying to set the hook on a fish and whatever’s on my lap goes flying. Anyhow, thanks for the laugh, and when she gives me back my phone privileges, I will give you a jingle. Take care buddy!
Just remembered. A couple years ago on Yellowstone lake. We got into some good white caps and the board that was holding on my $3000 trolling motor snapped. Luckily, my nephew grabbed it while it was still running and saved the day. Good times!

@@prospectoroutdoorsWhat a Saint! Tell Gina I recommend maybe a haircut for proper punishment ;) . When you get your phone privileges back, if I don’t get back to right away, I’m just high up on a mountain somewhere for a few days!
