That tv stand is perfect for someone who lives on a fault line and wants to game during an earthquake.
I got it to 69 likes 👍 noice! 😂🤣😂🤣
@@michaelthompson9798I got it to 96 likes 👍 noice! 😆
haha
Lol
Damn I wrote my comment and saw you had the same idea👍 Comment deleted.
Dawid looking at a VGA port on a PC: "Oh no... a Mesozoic era port". Dawid looking at a TV: "OMG YES! a Mesozoic era port"
On a PC its bad cus it limits resolution and frame rate (assuming the tv or monitor isnt garbage) and it wastes display out space and requires a more expensive GPU to even have as its unsupported on newer hardware you need a special converter
And on a tv or monitor its a good thing because it means backwards compatibility with older hardware
Nah the real Mesozoic port would have been coaxial cable.
@@commanderoof4578Makes sense. Though, I would have used compatibility instead of comparability 🤣🤣
@@Eppopower meh blame apple for constantly changing the damn keyboard touch points...
You have no damn clue how often on and of and off and such come out as in and if and iff and such
Can even endup with omly and grom and such cis the touch points changed...
Been using the same damn phone essentially for 10 years iPhone 5s -> iPhone SE original (not the insulting defiantly shouldn't be called SE ones)
@@commanderoof4578 Defiantly? LMFAO
the fact that 720p TVs are still being produced is staggering
My mom sadly fell for those. Just because its huge and flat screen doesn't mean it has a good quality
@@Kelette Target audience successfully reached, that's why these are still being produced.
I have the 40 inch 1080p version of that Hisense TV as my main computer monitor, because my eyes are pretty much decorative face hole plugs at this point in life. It still has the analog/composite connection, plus 3 HDMI inputs. This allows me to connect the PS2 to the analog, the Xbox 360 and Wii and computer to the HDMI ports, and all that's left for me to do is wish I had a console made in the last fifteen years.
Been daily driving a 4K 120hz Hisense tv for the last 4 years without any issues plus they come with a 5 year warranty. They are made locally here too in South Africa
I like your point on TV vs. no TV. I think comparisons of the three cheapest TVs (or whatever) would provide great value for the consumer.
It’s a crime he bought a soundbar for almost as much as the tv. Could probably have gotten a decent 1080p set for the price and bought $10 earbuds if he wanted better audio.
@@AwSomeNESSSI probably would of done that
@@AwSomeNESSSyeah but the point was sorting lowest to highest in each category not his choosing
That table gives me college dorm room vibes. And as such you'll see it and many like it at the end of each semester in a dumpster. Or in a college town's Goodwill.
I am not a console guy but only you Dawid can made me watch a PS5 gaming setup video and enjoy your suff... I mean your dedication. That being said, the galaxy projector could be used as a decor for an ASMR Be Quiet ad, if you have the opportunity to have them as a sponsor again. :)
I never have seen a channel where the tone of the voice fits the content so well
7:52 I would have plugged the thing into the PS5's USB port.
It's common on modern TVs for the brightness control to actually be a black level control (and contrast a white level control) rather than actually controlling the luminance of the backlight. Commonly there is another control for that.
Just like in the CRT days...
I always really appreciate these kinds of videos Dawid. As someone who grew up in poverty it really is sometimes a choice between the cheap one, or nothing at all. Your perspective is a welcome one.
This is pretty much what my set-up looked like in 2010....and yes I did have a PS3 connected to a 720p tv 👀
Had a lg 32inch 1080p in 2010
You had 720p?? Lucky... My PS3 was hooked up via composite cables to a crappy 1995(ish) jvc crt tv for like the first 3 years of its life 😂
I love those folding chair things, excellent when you want to sit somewhere with no back support, like on the floor or the edge of your bed. There are bigger ones available with a bit more padding too
The logitech z313 is older, but would've made a probably cheaper and better sound system than the sound bar. Thanks for this vid, got a chuckle out of the build!
This reminds me of my gaming setup when I was little; I would basically put in my room whatever my parents had in the living room before they buy an upgrade: they get a big flat-panel tv? Great, I would move the massive, incredibly heavy old crt tv in my room to play ps2 with 😂
Gary's really nailing that season 3, episode 3 Arnold Rimmer cosplay! 😮
I have about a year and a half to grind for a PS5 and display for GTA 6.... can't wait for it to releaseed on PC. Hope whoever is on the same path... success to you!
This video kinda Helps BTW XD
Grind? It takes a couple weeks wages to get a PS5 dude.
@@portman8909 Trust me not in my country...
This entire video reminds me of playing the sims and purposely buying the smallest house and fitting it with the cheapest furniture.
Dawid proving that it is better to buy secondhand decent items than new cheap items.
IS THAT PS5 UPSIDE DOWN IM SCREAMING DAWID
Yes it is 😂
From memory you can out it either way around and use the stand...
Its a personal preference thing
@@commanderoof4578 when laying it horizontally it’s supposed to lay on the disc drive side and there’s marks where you attach the stand on the back of the OEM plates. Maybe the 3rd party gold plates he has don’t fit the stand.
The lesson I got from this is--buy used when you can, at least you won't lose as much money when you get scammed for it.
Or just dont use Amazon.
unless you buy a used cheap item that someone else already got scammed on
5:55 A board and two milk crates would literally be a far better option than that stand with the leg stability of pool noodles....Jesus murfy!! Really appreciate the shot of all the remotes at the end btw. 😂
That TV stand is actually pretty interesting.
Not for any positive reason, more just because it’s impressive how cheaply made it is. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a thin flimsy table. Then be supported by legs made out of balpit ball plastic.
All without even an attempt to add any structural support.
I would have bought a monitor and not a TV for the PS5.
You can buy the LG 24MP400 23.8" which is IPS and 1080p with 75Mhz refresh for around £90
And that's fine for watching tv too, with a hdmi set-top box or something
Dawid should probably stick to Acer's Nitro VG0 displays for the sake of the channel vibe, although they might be a bit more expensive (100 to 120 Euro over here). 🤩
Doesn’t sound janky enough for a Dawid vid 😅
koorui 24" IPS 144hz is only $115 USD, I'd go with that.
I think we all, including Dawid, would have done a LOT of things, VERY differently. This is entertainment lol.
Thank you for actually thinking about the type of people who would be buying these products (such as the point you made about the TV) instead of being unfairly harsh on the product. This is why I watch your channel! Great video once again :)
Hope we don’t get the update on Dawid’s back being wrecked by a cheap chair again.
Great video again! But I would be sooo interested into a series of video where each time you improve the setup with the help of your community. At the end you get a superb template for anyone on a budget.
Yeah I see better furniture out on the curb every Friday night that people leave out for the garbos to take on Saturday. Not just furniture but recently I came accross a whole PC with a bluray drive, and a 7.1 HK surround amp. Both of which work just fine. It's amazing what you can find the night before trash day.
Has multiple shelves on the stand. "Oh, yes, let's keep the soundbar in the way of the TV remote sensor" 👍🤣
I love "TV Holes" as a description. I want to use that in regular conversations
I had that exact same Hisense TV about 10-11 years back, it's solid for retro gaming, it did have great contrast and vivid colors. But for 2023 it's just not even worth half what you paid for it.
It was my first smart TV also about 11 years ago. I played a lot of Xbox 360 on it.
Oh damn, 10-11 years ago I had one of those boxy huge TV's, I am pretty sure it was from the 80's
I'm way more upset about the UPSIDE DOWN PS5 WITHOUT THE BASE than I should be
holy shit man, I haven't really been keeping up with the channel tbh, just wanted to say you're looking good my man. Loving the hair! Keep up the work in the gym (or whatever healthy lifestyle changes you've made) because a healthy Dawid is a happy one!
For just $57 USD you COULD have gotten the Logitech G313 2.1 system with a subwoofer - it handles mumbling speech well!
I use the Z313s for my gaming, but for media and Music consumption I use my Edifier R2000DBs OR my Anker Souncore Motion Boom+ with its 80 watts RMS of insanely good loudness and clarity with booming bass for on-the-go.
Been considering using my Soundcore Motiom Boom+ for rear channel audio, but I would have to run a 3.5mm across the floor to plug it in.
I am fairly sure that, that exact same model of TV got "rebadged" as a Philco branded one in Brazil.
I've seen one just as awful a few years ago, and thought it was gonna crack the plastics at merely breathing at it
Man, that intro was really smooth, Gary! 👌
Ah yes, my favourite and most relatable sound test - Rivet being angry at the floor.
Hisense are one of those brands where their higher end models are nice, but their low end TV's are just why levels of production.
Tall joystick cap is for the rigth stick not for the left stick, it helps aimming accuracy a bit to a lot depending on what you are playing.
Loved the gaming ambulance.
Mr. Dawid your videos never disappoint! Thank you!
That ps5 upside down lol.
For me, looking at a PS5, I have no idea what would constitute upside down.
It's just a bunch of curves and shapes.
I have the exact same type of setup as your three tiered shelf, but mine's taller and only one tier (think little bedside table). Be care with those legs, the little plastic parts the legs snap into can tear out super easy, happened to one of my little tables and had to glue it back in.
Very, VERY educational video. I now know "sturdy" means shaky. The star projector will be good for bedrooms...sleeping under the starzzzz..zz...z.
Could you have plugged the usb stuff into the TV? I did that with a cheap RGB lighting strip set i got and it works really well, turns on when the TV turns on which is handy.
3:00 Why is that so funny, with that little vocal stutter? lol
I lost your channel a year ago , and now i cant event recognie you 😭😭 glad i found your channel back
Confused man buys e-waste part 24. In this episode our crazy presenter also gets some regular waste
"feels like they're throwing placenta in your eyes" is just an amazing way to describe something and I'm going to start using it
Yeah that one had me rolling
Half the time these oneliners of his leave me just like this one: brain stuck on loading screen but already grinning
Did anyone point out that both the PS5 and TV have USB ports you could have plugged the lights into?
I bought a 22 inch Hi-Sense TV a couple years ago for $20US during a clearance sale on Amazon. It's connected to my mini NES and mini SNES and is a crap TV but works great for what I need. 720p is sufficient for 8 bit gaming.
Nothing wrong with that. I've got an old Insignia 26 inch 720p from like 2008(ish) that I keep around. Has 2 composite inputs, 2 component inputs, 2 vga, 2hdmi... They were basically like "screw it, give em two of everything". My PS2, GameCube, OG Xbox, Sega Genesis, and Sega Saturn all look great on it via component cables, my Dreamcast looks great on it using vga, and my NES and Super Nintendo both look halfway decent on it through composite. It beats dragging a 200 pound crt around, and it's waaay cheaper then buying whatever the latest witchcraft 100x converter is to try and play old stuff on a 65 inch 4k without looking like total crap.
Fire extinguisher and emergency exit both make sense when it comes to Dawid's stuff...
hahaha yes indeed!
@@AnnaDoes Good luck!🤪
The price of low-end has gone up so much. but if you look around there are deals to be had. I bought a pretty good 60'' z gaming desk for $120. the quality is surprisingly good.
I played with my low end for $0,
I got a 150cm by 80cm oak plank. I personally mounted it on an old desk, but buying a second one and building stands from that would get your a really solid, sturdy and honestly high-end experience for only 100 euros. Really the low-end is only ever as bad as you make it
@@AnEagle 100 Euro is $146 Canadian Scheckels. And your solution isn't "buying the cheapest possible thing on Amazon for the lulz".
@@Those_Weirdos well I was answering the comment saying there were deals to be had, this really is one of them
yeah especially tvs with like any mid sized city is gonna have people needing to dump their stuff for cheap
Ooh, Brands Hatch! One of my favorite tracks
**Dawid** put a brick under each of the feet to raise it so that the remote receiver is not covered by the sound bar. Yes I do that my self to correct the same problem
For less than $100 you can get amazing quality of sound with a pair of Edifier speakers. It's always not about the budget but about knowing your shit.
just loving the background with a shelf that's alone worth twice as much as the entire setup minus the ps5
I can't believe you've put the PS5 upside down, and the chair! Otherwise, 10/10 setup, would recommend to my grandma.
I got Logitech speakers with a subwoofer for 50 bucks off Amazon new... I don't regret it one bit tbh. Lasted me maybe 5 years so far.
Ooh, Furinno shelf! Classic! ...And rickety. My Furinno corner shelves are quaking in their boots right now.
I like your new glasses they look really good
Love ya vids Dawid always makes me laugh, anyone else see the PS5 upside down lol awesome.
i bought a computer desk from amazon. last year. 60.00 with keyboard tray. it is small, looked bigger. but it fit the style i was going for which was retro. it now houses a macintosh performa 6360CD (os 9.2.2) with LCD (the CRT was heavy enough to question the desk) and it has ample storage for discs. so it worked out well. it also came with that infinity foam that just never goes away. was like 4 months later when i stopped seeing it around. i did need to add some supports to the corners of the desk but aside from that, it worked well and it fits the retro gaming from 90's motif very well.
This was legit the funniest video ive seen from you yet Dawid !! lmaoooo Keep up the good work!
I always love a new Not Gary video
The cheap furniture problem is real. For a desktop setup, i can recommend looking for businesses clearing out their offices. They often throw out really expensive desks in mint condition for almost free just to get rid of them. The quality is much higher than 99% of consumer furniture. Same with chairs, an used ergonomic certified office chair is better for your back than most of the gaming chairs.
My wife got a massive desk made from teak wood which was 30 years in dry storage for free from an old government office. On eBay people sell those for thousands of Euros, because they believe that they are selling a piece of mid-century art and they are almost always scratched up. It was a pain to carry it in our house, but it is stury enough to hide under it in case of a nuclear war.
3:06 the load bearing plastic reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons where the Flanders lose their house to a hurricane and the community comes together to build them a house. Rod comes into his new room and removes a Krusty the Clown poster that was fixed to the wall and Bart says "I wouldn't do that, is a load bearing poster" as a crack appears on the wall 😂
I also struggle with intelligebility. The word, not the meaning.
Its amazing you can still find new 720p tvs. Cant even find new1080p tv here in my country now. All 4k tvs now.
when you spent too much on balling your ps5 out 😔
IMHO will be more interesting a video with a cheap/budget setup that gives you the maximus experience, but in a budget. 4k 120hz HDR... 3D audio...
Thanks for the video.
The absolute firehazard of power cables you have.. yes we saw the power strip connected to another power strip lmao
4 cinder blocks and 2 crusty boards from a back alley would beat that TV stand.
I can’t believe they still make 720p TVs this day and age.
1080p has been the minimum standard for like 15 years!!!
The ultimate “Just moved out of home” starter pack!
Dawid has done it, he’s found the first gyroscopic tv stand
Did you notice on the stand that you put the top on the bottem. It has the plug you can remove to pass cords and cables through.
If I was to do this, I'd get a used TV from the local craigslist, for sound: a mini hifi from sony, I bought one for 50Euros and the sound is very decent. Used Poang chair from IKEA, or maybe even a "free to pickup" sofa. And the cheapest IKEA TV stand.
For what you paid for the chair you could have gotten two collapsible camping chairs for co-op and been more comfortable. With cup holders!
Totally! And they would work quiet well for playing on a PS5.
I bought a 40 inch vizio TV in 2016 for under 200USD, it had 4K 120 motion rate(native 60) but the best part of this TV, besides the price, was that at 1080P it was actually 120hz input so it worked pretty good as a gaming monitor for the time, 4K for the games my poor little 1080 could handle, and then 1080p120 for the games that couldnt hit 4K60, or games where i needed less latency(racing, shoot'n etc)
Latency was horrible compared to a 22 inch 1080p gaming monitor, but that gaming monitor was probably 50% more expensive, and didnt support 4K
Glorious, amazing, wow, such game
I've never bought a youtubers merch before, but when I saw that Loser shirt, I knew what needed to be done.
Push the hell out of this shirt. It's got money written all over it.
The glamour shots of that setup had me rolling. 😂
Hey, what happened to all your vids?
Ngl, I'm digging the starlight thing. I might just have to get myself one of those 😂
If you want brighter crank up the contrast to 100 and go to advanced setting and go to active contrast and set to low or medium, high goes crazy with the blacks
I love Dawid cos he does the dumb videos, the best kind of videos
As a viewer, I'm supremely glad Dawid spends more on background music than gaming accessories.
The chair was the best part
I watched tv in black and white in the mid 90s. It was so bad and the picture was faded because the tube was wearing out. But it was better than the other option which was nothing.
Amazing video,saludos from Spain
720P I didn't think they were made anymore.
Now that I've seen your Hisense, my shitty Visio 36" 1080p TV doesn't seem quite so bad. It's good for watching DVDs & low-bandwidth streaming, but not much else.
You have to be extremely careful every time you use this setup, to avoid monumental bleeding by cutting yourself with the rough edges of it
That tv stand looks the same as a super old computer desk I have, its actually still in use and its still sturdy enough to hold my 32 inch tv :D
that TV stand is probably perfect if you live around the California fault lines
Great idea for a video, well done.
I got a shelf on Amazon that's similar to your TV stand, I think, it is sturdier though and since it just sits with games on it, I don't notice a problem. But I wouldn't want a TV on it.
Those kinds of chairs are usually used for sitting at a Kotatsu
4:03 no way dawid invented DLSS
Hisense is quite the reputable brand (at least over here in South Africa), especially their higher end 4K TVs. I'd buy one over a Samsung with similar specs and price any day. Their older TVs definitely weren't any good, but nowadays the game mode and image quality is quite good. (At least in my opinion and experience.) Good content though sir. o7
