Yea i think thats the only reason they made that. And might be the best tool in this review. Had wow friends who used teamviewer/remotedesktop to move their mouse every few mins cause the login queues were so high.
Bro, that "light show" usb that came with the console is actually really useful. You can put it in one of the rear USB ports on your pc and have cool asf lighting on the wall behind your pc!
I’ve debated on getting one of those half keyboards to use as a macropad for CAD software. You can get software that allows to reprogram what each button does, meaning entire macros is possible. Might be a cheap option for video editing as well. But even my usecase requires hacking it.
Okay, to be fair, mouse jigglers have one purpose that can be really handy. If you get a laptop from the government, or from a massive corporation, they typically have very short lock periods (mine is about a minute.) What that means is you can't even go to the bathroom without the laptop locking, requiring logging back in (generally with a smartcard) and re-opening your VPN connections. A jiggler allows you to go to the bathroom, or make a cup of coffee without having to relogin to everything. Obviously you don't use them in an unsecured environment, but if it's sitting on your desk at home... yeah, they are a huge time saver.
I like the mouse and dare I say it...the game console. It's not often to see a budget mouse with software allowing you to change the polling rate. Very useful feature. Well, in one game, but still, very useful. EDIT: Hilarious video, thanks for sharing.
If you want to look at what the mouse rips off, look at Swiftpoint's Tracer, Creator, and Z/Z2. Nearly identical outside of the obvious missing buttons and features. Though they're a bit overpriced, but they also have no competition.
@@xaytana Thank you. I am poor so no chance of buying anything now. If I had money I would buy another Xornet II mouse. Fraking love it and it served me for years till it died on me.
depending on the polling rate of that half mechanical keyboard, it can be awesome for quick rhythm games! I don't think it will be anything decent however
I quite like the half keyboard idea. When I game I use a mouse and a usb number pad. I just allocate all my games functions that are not on my mouse to a number. Keeps everything in fingers reach and I can have many more options for hand placement with my keyboard out of the way its only just in front of my monitor so in easy flaming range! Been doing it this way since the Doom and Quake years.
It's likely a "Peltier" cooler. Peltier devices use materials where when a voltage is applied, one side gets really hot and the other gets really cold. There used to be CPU Peltier coolers like 15 years ago, I think they are out of fashion because they generate a lot more heat than they take away. So the CPU does get really cold, but the inside of the case gets very hot.
@@JasonMendoza-hd3ce Did some research and it turns out these were actually still made until a few months ago. Intel and EKWB made water blocks for Intel's "cryo-cooling" software back in 2020 that use this kind of cooling... except that they discontinued it just in November 2023 according to an AnandTech article... so yeah, it doesn't exist anymore lol. Interesting though
The mouse jiggler makes sense, because some computers have 'power saving' permanently on, and the screen shuts off if you dont keep moving the mouse. It drives a person crazy when theyre watching an embedded video or reading pages of information. On the other hand, never plug a USB anything into your computer or phone if you dont know the brand and trust it.
Regarding the Half Keyboard. It got all the keys you 99% of the time would you use in videogame with said hand. With some models certain companies sells having Plenty of extra keys for macros placed around it. Hell i think Razer sells one with a joystick.
If you had the other half of that keyboard, you could set up a wicked space sim setup, with that half right behind the throttle and the other half right behind the joystick. :) (and yes, I understand it's designed to be used with a mouse for the right hand and there's not actually an "other half")
Another comment on a separate video described you as having "dead-pan sarcasm". I was sold on that and had to subscribe. Also, 2:55 the radioactive platypus mention...funny as hell.
@6:00 the mouse jigguler' the only known use was in the early days 200? ISPs would disconnect if there was no input going on. I used a software mouse movement thing to stay online. 20 years ago it would be semi-useful
The half keyboard is good for VR. When I was playing Elite Dangerous in VR, keeping control of where you are on a regular keyboard can be a little bit of a mess, so I got a Razor Tartarus Chroma , a partial keyboard with some mouse control on it. Bound all my auxiliary controls to that and never needed to bother hunting over my keyboard blind. :)
I will say the half keyboard does actually have a use case. Some people don't have a lot of desk space so the half keyboard allows them to have more mouse travel space while gaming. It is in no way a replacement for a full keyboard but it is an instead option. Artists also use similar keyboards for macro keys as there desk tends to be taken up by their drawing tablet.
I've always liked those half gaming keyboards for gaming in my living room. I turn old PC's into media/gaming rigs for my TV, and for a lot of situations the half keyboards are perfect for reclining in my living room and playing an RPG or something turn based.
I use the razer Naga and razer Tartarus Pro for MMO gaming and I will never go back. Very specific use case, but it works really well. None of the knock off brands are worth it at all. Great video.
bro dafuq? i love that mouse, since i do not gaming whatsoever for me the many buttons and the silent clicks are welcome i don't want the whole house to hear every time i click the damn thing. also my hands are big and never miss clicked in any of the buttons is actually quite comfy, the macros software is completely optional as well
4:40 these half keyboards are great for space and flight simulators. Especially if you have a cockpit, where finding a place to mount a full keyboard is difficult.
5:05 L/R balance issues was a big problem for my V-moda Boompro, I just keep a can of contact cleaner at my desk and spray it in there every week, good workaround lol.
1:30 these things are actually pretty good when stuck on the end of a mic arm to hold your phone for usage during streams where an app would normally overheat the phone. I got a dual-fan cooler to hold/cool my iphone x because ifacialmocap practically melts my phone unless the cooler is turned on. EDIT: I got mine of Amazon though, not temu, so I can't speak on the quality of the model in the video

I started my World of Warcraft with a very similar game pad, it was an absolute game changer and even today I have an ancient Cyber Snipa still in use and currently doing duty in the mines of Moria.
I use to have a half keyboard and it was one of the most comfortable gaming keyboards I've ever used. Of course, not having a full keyboard is a problem, I just had a cheep 60% as well for everyday typing. But the way the spacebar was helped, and the macros were good too.
That half keyboard is potentially useful for anybody that takes a wide gaming stance, with a lot of space between keyboard and mouse. Place it off to the left of your typing keyboard.
i could see the half keyboard MAYBE being useful if you wanna game on a console using a keyboard/mouse, but clicky switches on a gaming keyboard is a crime.
For the shoulder button thing and getting games with buttons up there... I'm wondering if they were thinking of Steam Link where you can move around on screen buttons for the controller prompts so it would work with any game you stream that way.
To make a point in favor of the half keyboard. I use one myself, and every day. I have a regular keyboard ALSO plugged in. It's just when I gane I like my arms to be more spread put and I hate having to pick up my heavy mechanical keyboard and move it over to the side and at an angle so I can relax and use one hand on keys one on mouse. With the half keyboard it's so convenient, and 90% of games I play, mainly competitive fps games, never have a need for a button I can't hit with one hand. And if I need to chat, my other full size is right there. But again, I also have a huge desk and use a 42 inch monitor so, your milage may vary.
the half a keyboard is hilarious. I know gamepads have been around for a long time, but with numbered programmable buttons, not just a keyboard haphazardly sawn in half XD
The gamepad keyboard things make alot of sense if you have a small desk. You don't have to play with insane keyboard tilt, to get room to move your mouse.
Did you see the Temu Super Bowl ad "Shop like a Billionaire" (!), for what they probably spent to advertise during Super Bowl 58? Unrelated - you might enjoy reviewing Lexip gaming mice, only ones I've ever seen with a tiny analog stick on them and I have one. Your channel and you are superb; you are one of the elite few on The Tube that I would call a true showman.
I been using those same triggers for 6 months, didn't really expect them to still be functional but their really useful in call of duty since I struggle playing claw on my tiny phone with big fingers 😂
If you have enough desk space, the half keyboard combines well with your "normal" keyboard, allowing you to spread your arms in a pretty comfortable position. Needs some time for the brain to get used to what's effectively an extremely wide keyboard of sorts, but it can be VERY comfortable, especially for longer gaming sessions or laborious manual data entry (ask me how I know).
That half keyboard can be mapped entirely separately as different keys and you can relabel them. The beauty is less in what it shows and more in what niche editors can make it into. Several people like nutty have done tutorials on the "budget" streamdeck.
That mouse kinda looks like someone looked at a swiftpoint tracer and went 'oh, we can do that!' and it turned out that no, they could not do that. I have a swiftpoint Z (which is the premium version of the tracer) that is currently in a drawer because, unfortunately, after years of use it started to wear (got very rough on the bottom skates and on the rubber sections of the grip), and it is surprisingly comfy and natural, despite the odd shape and button locations. It's basically the 'fully loaded luxury car' of gaming mice, full of features that you have to actively go out of your way to remember the existence of, but if you work them into your mind, they actually work pretty well. I really hope they start making them again. The knuckle buttons on the swiftpoint mouse are actually fairly accessible and easy to use, while having enough resistance that you aren't going to accidentally trip them. They can also be pulled up instead of pushed down for alternate inputs. The swiftpoint Z actually TRULY shines in creative pursuits. Can have nearly every shortcut right there on the mouse, and rarely have to deal with modifier key inputs on the keyboard. In games I found myself using a lot of the buttons on a pretty rare basis initially, but after getting used to binding certain things to the mouse and having dedicated buttons for them, it was awkward to switch away back to a more 'normal' mouse. In my case that was a G502, then a G305.

Or if you need a full keyboard with num pad for work that gets in a way when gaming. No need for a second one just half

Dawid You should definitely should try that phone cooler thing on the back plate of a GPU and see if it helps cool the GPU.
Yea Like on MSI 3060 Ventus 12gb OC on some of my game that use Resizable bar I notice it goes up from 70C-72C up to 77C I wonder if this would work to help keep it cool.
I wonder if the mouse jiggler could keep you from AFK logging out of games (like World of Warcraft)
Oh, that’s actually quite an interesting and plausible use case. I expect it would work just fine for that, too.
Logitech g13, exact use case for ya. onboard macro creation, customize buttons, data screen

04:13 Why? Because it can save wear on your gaming laptop's keyboard, those things arent cheap to replace...
I never get tired of hearing dawid's funny moans in his videos. Very therapeutic
5:30 in the vid is a gloriously wimpy moan for your "therapy"
That cooler was actually a little impressive for how much of a difference it made. Could be interesting to see it used for a desktop cpu?
Interesting though
i love your contents dawid. everytime you upload a vid, i'll be excited to watch
Thanks for watching!
Top notch 😂 giggled throughout
After seeing Temu stuff catching on fire. And some incidents damaging PCs and other expensive electronics. I wouldn't chance it.
Regarding the Half Keyboard. It got all the keys you 99% of the time would you use in videogame with said hand. With some models certain companies sells having Plenty of extra keys for macros placed around it. Hell i think Razer sells one with a joystick.
The razer one isn't a joystick, it's more like a d-pad disguised as a joystick.
The half keyboard is useful for sitting next to a drawing tablet, where you only need a few shortcut keys but you don't want to have to reach too far.
If you had the other half of that keyboard, you could set up a wicked space sim setup, with that half right behind the throttle and the other half right behind the joystick. :) (and yes, I understand it's designed to be used with a mouse for the right hand and there's not actually an "other half")
0:37 i know the packaging looks like trash but i actually kinda like this type of packaging because it is easy to open. :)

Oh, you didnt test the sdds and memory modules…
Why would they want to spy on a beardy Westerner flailing around?
"spy equipment" unlike the phone in your hand? The camera constantly pointed at you face, microphones, gps tracking, etc.
Great video.
bro dafuq? i love that mouse, since i do not gaming whatsoever for me the many buttons and the silent clicks are welcome i don't want the whole house to hear every time i click the damn thing. also my hands are big and never miss clicked in any of the buttons is actually quite comfy, the macros software is completely optional as well
Please don't touch my USB hole 😂😂😂
The mouse jiggler would actually be pretty handy for when you have to go afk for a while in a game which kicks you for being idle for too long.
you can use software for that
4:40 these half keyboards are great for space and flight simulators. Especially if you have a cockpit, where finding a place to mount a full keyboard is difficult.
2:02 omg that is way too funny! A fan causing condensation and freezing! 😂
Omg. that game at 16:15 what is its name in original form if anyone knows!? i used to play that on bootleg sega back in the day!

Having a tech UA-cam channel immediately disqualifies you from having any impulse control
I started my World of Warcraft with a very similar game pad, it was an absolute game changer and even today I have an ancient Cyber Snipa still in use and currently doing duty in the mines of Moria.
Dude, I haven't watched you in a year but god damn your hair is so luscious, it looks fantastic!!
2:22 Sooooo close! lol (sticker on box)
I truly love watching this channel!
"A handful of pennies, and some shame" Sounds like a sad date lol
Dawid we need an entire dedicated video essay on the intricate lore of Throwing Gobling
i could see the half keyboard MAYBE being useful if you wanna game on a console using a keyboard/mouse, but clicky switches on a gaming keyboard is a crime.
For the shoulder button thing and getting games with buttons up there... I'm wondering if they were thinking of Steam Link where you can move around on screen buttons for the controller prompts so it would work with any game you stream that way.
OMG you've finally uploaded ive been waiting for days lol
"a handful of pennies and shame" classic!

the half a keyboard is hilarious. I know gamepads have been around for a long time, but with numbered programmable buttons, not just a keyboard haphazardly sawn in half XD

The gamepad keyboard things make alot of sense if you have a small desk.
You don't have to play with insane keyboard tilt, to get room to move your mouse.
That's why they've been making one hand keyboards for 15+ years...

Does the phone cooler have 1/4-20 mount in the middle?
