Or maybe Mom was hugging the baby too tight... Where were the zookeepers?, that tiny baby was in distress ... They should have stepped in to separate the baby from its mother. Could have saved the baby...

as a zoo taking charge of a critically endangered species you’d think they’d be monitoring the babies progress very closely :( in other places i’ve seen, they usually do. i guess sometimes it’s out of their control, who knows. poor mama :(
The keeprs should of been keeping track of weight. I dont buy thats what happened. Things can happen but it seems very odd. That dont happen overnight they should of been monitoring its weight.

They did monitor it, they rushed the baby to the veterinarians the moment signs of his ill health showed. Unfortunately, by then it was too late
