I was wondering about the dns, how you could still see the internet after you set it, but on mine, when I only set the primary, I failed the connection test.
@@chromium5988 if you set it to 127.0.0.1, then it will fail. If someone makes a custom dns (or you) for this specifically to block all microsoft stuff, then you will be able to use that and still access the rest of the internet

VERY IMPORTANT! When you set the DNS, you need to set both the primary and secondary to 127.0.0.1. You can see in the video that your console was still able to connect to the internet and connection was all good before it quickly went to next scene. This is because system will try to resolve the 127.0.0.1 to a DNS server and it will fail so it will use the secondary DNS that was still saved.
Still doesnt work even with both setup. We need a new DNS blocker

What if you don't have a secondary set? I only set the primary and mine does not connect to the internet. I assumed it did in the video because he had ipv6 or something. I disabled ipv6 in my router a while ago because it was causing issues with some things, such as the PS4 JB :D

Hello ! In part 6 of the tutorial! I took and plugged my old keyboard into the USB and typed a few things to my surprise and it worked! Do I really need another device to simulate a keyboard or can I use my own for that? Great video ! I'm dying to get my Xbox One X to actually work! Sorry for my English !🤔😀

@@chromium5988 Then ! I have a problem ! A Rubber ducky is very expensive and I can't afford one! In my country, importing things at a fair price is impossible! I use a Raspberry Pi on my ps4 11.00, so an alternative with it would be great! If I only have to run this code once, I can try typing it!

it seems to save the code you can just copy paste it off from console browser
Is this just for the regular Xbox One (S) or also for One X because the latter one has a FW version than stated on the site.

Guys if you read the link thread it updated to saying it works for series consoles also, make sure to follow the steps in the video it does the same exact thing!
No Backup, its a SystemOS stuff, SystemOS is the VM where all Microsoft Store UWP Apps Run.
make sure you use these settings = Ensure your Xbox Live account Login-Type is configured as “No barriers” aka. auto-login with no password prompt
Set your console as “Home Console” for this account

I really dont see the point of it when dev mode exist and considering the games are sold for chips at the moment its not really necessary for now
Importante! If you are participating in insider, remove insider, I did this on mine and the update went back to 4478
If your version is higher leave Xbox insider program and delete account then you will be prompted with a update

There is still no new system update as of right now for xb1. Still good to update for now.
I have two Xbox One consoles. First was already set as my 'home console', so I carried out the other instructions with no issue. On the second console when I went to make that my 'home console' instead, there was a message about only being able to make the switch 5 times in a year. I'm dubious about continuing in case I have to switch each time I use the other console. Using the same account on both systems, I don't really want to make another. Any advice please. Apologies if I've totally misunderstood things, as I'm rushing to set this up before M$ can patch things. *EDIT:* I made another account, so I'm good to go😀

The team that discovered the exploit mentioned it won't do 5% of Gold Hen, It won't even run arcade emulators. Maybe create custom themes. Cheats is stretching it. It will never b used for running backups

Yeah, I dunno what is going on. One of my accounts was in the insider program, I left the insider program and removed the account, but I never got prompted to do another update. Still on 10.0.25398.4908. I updated almost 2 hours ago. Maybe if that's an insider build it will still be exploitable? I was able to install and run the Game Script app.
Edit: Rebooted the console and it's prompting for an update, hopefully it's the older one and not an even newer one than I already had :D
Mine was the same thing I was in it and the support still shows this one as latest one I left it and it went right back to this one

Ok now that I've prepped it: I just desperately want to make it in to a nice media player device. Imo the Xbox one s, in white, is one of the most aesthetically pleasing game consoles ever made, and it sitting around being useless is a shame!

Hi, so is it safe to update to the last available firmware right now? Its mandatory in order to access to MS Store and download the app..
More then safe, it’s coming straight from Xbox servers. You need the update if not already In it, and see if it’s the same as his and follow the instructions along with him. Do this before xbox patches this exploit.
How long before they patch this? Also would it be possible to access the firmware and install via usb in future?

@@CMAC86 not sure how long till the next update and no there is no way to update via usb as far as I know. It’s different then PlayStation, this is how Xbox makes it so people can’t just change the firmware. Good luck 🍀

My console when i updated it, went to a higher version - 10.0.25398.4908. Hoping im still on the safe side.
4478 was the version you had to be one, so unfortunately this won't work for you :(
you are participating in insider, you are removing your console from insider, I did this on mine and the update went back to 4478
@@walterwallace9503 whew! thanks! that was a close-call! i was able to un-enroll at insider and upon restart, the version reverted to 10.0.25398.4478! though my console was reset to factory and my games deleted, I had to re-do all the steps.

Its not worth buying one, cause the exploit will not lead to much. The guys that discovered the exploit said it won't even run emulation

On 2024/06/08 a method for gaining user- and kernel-level code execution SystemOS was announced. It is likely to be patched soon (in next System Update)
@HaxShaw2024 its been clearly stated this is not a jailbreak, and piracy is not possible with this method

Updated my One X, no idea if this exploit would work with it anyway, but my OS version is newer than in the video, maybe it's already been patched :D 10.0.25398.4908. It also seems to be stuck on 0% installing Game Script
Leave Xbox insider program and close account then you will be asked to update
@@TheMrKittys I checked and this account was not in the Insider Program. Looks like there's a newer update and it might have already been patch. wololo mentions this in their article. Maybe another account on the Xbox is in it.

Sounds like X/s would just update or in my case an offline update and downgrade FW back to Nov 2022 FW when Xenia wasn't blocked..

Since we already have good working Jailbreaks for this Generation with PS4 and PS4 Pro, I don't see much use of this nowadays.
If it would work with Series S or Series X, it would be different, but the new Gen. hasn't been mentioned by the hacker.
