    Love my 0211, actually bought due to your reviews. I bought my set for $84 per club, you save $5 per club if you call in, and picked up at the store so also got free shipping. So these are an amazing deal with tech that will last a while.

    I got the PXG 0211 DC's when they first came out. I have the MMT graphite shaft in regular flex. I've had a number of forged irons over the years, but I was shocked how good these irons felt. I love the looks and the performance, and I can't believe they're now $77.00 an iron. Love them!! Steve Hill

    I’ve just had delivered today my new set of fitted irons, tried the ping G425, P790 and ended up with Wilson D9 they were the best performing for me and the best value at only £99 per club which when you look at the costs of others they were a cracking price, guess these won’t be for everyone as they are not the smallest profile, but performance over looks is what matters and for my game and they were the best for me, can’t wait to get out and use them!

    I just spec'd these out on PXG's Canadian site. A set of 6 irons covering traditional 4-iron 24-degree loft to 48-degree PW - these are actually labeled as (6, 7, 8, 9, W, G) = (24, 28, 32, 37, 42, 48), which I think is absolutely perfect for anyone with a driver swing speed of over 90mph. I picked a Steel Shaft being the True Temper Elevate Tour Stiff (118grams), they also offer the Elevate 95gram shaft, and the Price is $570 Canadian - that's unbelievable. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking.

    Bought these earlier this year at £80 a club. So 4i-LW / 10 clubs at £800. Great deal. Like you I wanted the full range rather than changing at wedge level. Clubs are great. Also liked that there was no upwelling at the fitting. Didn’t need upgraded shafts at £35 a club nor was the driver doing anything better than current set up (cobra). Really honest feedback from fitter. Very happy

    I bought 4-GW in the Mitsubishi MMT 70g regular flex shafts, 52 and 56 degree forged wedges all for $1070 US (tax included) , fitted btw at one of their stores. Before those I bought the 5 wood ($200) in the Diamana S regular flex. O211s all of them . Love the 5 wood but haven’t taken the irons out yet but they feel great. PXG, if you watch their website, are the best value. Get the previous Generation irons and what a deal! back in April of this year, I got fitted for the Gen2 0311 P irons...best deal in town for a great club. I tried the Mizuno JPX, the Callaway Maverick, Ping G425...good irons....as are the PXG...but the price was awesome. Also, the 0211 driver and fairway woods are a great deal for a quality club as well. Yes, I am now a PXG fanboy! And right now a full bag fitting for the 0211 line is $1,999 US. Can't beat that!

    Love them. Got the irons with True Temper Elevate 95 stiff shafts with midsize grips. Found I was fading the 7 to 4 irons a bit, thought the shafts were a bit soft but fixed this by swapping the grips out from mid sized to standard size Golf Pride and now have a straight or gentle draw on all clubs. Had a fitting, with a PXG fitter ($50) for a set of irons. Fitting was very useful and helpful to fitting me for the right iron, shaft, and grip. Base price: $77 for the 0211DC, additions: $39/club for the True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 shafts, and $60 for shipping. Total for the package: $922, so $132 per club. Liked the experience and the clubs, but factoring in the additional cost can bring these "Value" irons into the same price point as other leading brands.

    First and foremost you have to believe you're going to play better with whatever you decide to change to Andy! After that I'd say swap-over cost would be a deciding factor for most golfers, and a third factor (strangely) might be how you perceive you'd play with clubs one of your mates is hitting well.... just my opinion! Have a good Xmas, and many thanks to you and Hannah for all the work behind your 2021 videos.

    I had a reverse shoulder replacement in September after my left knee was replaced in February. At 62 years of age it was time to update my clubs. Since my swing was definitely going to change and being the tightwad that I am I scored a demo set of Callaway Apex DCB's off Ebay for $88 a club. This was a 6 through AW, graphite shafts with senior flex. Not hit them yet waiting for the 4 month date to start swinging my sand wedge a little Those PXG's are a great value.

    I got a set of these used, and they're very good. Absolute rocket launchers and feel exceptionally good. I do wish the sole was slightly narrower and a bit more rounded, like the Callaway Apex, but that's getting very nitpicky. Extremely strong lofts but juuuust enough loft in the longer irons to hold a green, especially if you hit a cut. I went to the 0211ST blades in 7-PW, but still playing the 5 and 6 irons in the 0211 DC. There's a bit of a gap in loft between the blade 7i (mine bent to 30º) and the DC 6i (24º), but at my slower speed, that's around where irons start to bunch up and go the same distance, so a bigger loft gap is actually exactly what I need.

    Completely agree! In US they're only $77 each now. Lot of customization options too. Progressive set which makes the longer clubs easier to hit. Having tried to research and try the PXG 0211 irons on a range with a local supplier, I was in two minds. As a mid/high handicapper, is it worth the investment?
    First impressions were that I had chosen well with my Cleveland 588MT irons previously (before that Mizuno MX-200) and there would not be much gain. That was until buying the clubs.
    Reviews don't seem to stress the maraging steel, initially perhaps a compromise from my forged steel recent history but then it is up to the experts to explain the science.
    What I have got is the more "penetrating" ball flight which suits my game. Winter golf lets me judge carry, which shows improvement. A few badly hit shots suggest enhanced forgiveness.
    What reviews don't show is how much these clubs can improve the shorter game with (for me) unprecedented consistency.
    Things might change when I get roll in summer but I just can't wait to get back out on the course and find out more about their performance. After buying 5-PW, I have now added a 4I and Gap and love them to bits.

I am sure they feel just as good and by the sounds of the comments I have seen from others who play them, they are a great choice for people to consider. I recently added the XF fairways and hybrid and highly recommend people include these in their trials as I found these to be fantastic and note that they will replace my proto’s as well as my Gen 3 t 4 iron.

    The cost is crazy these days. I am in the market even though I love my mizuno 825 pro. I guess that's why I haven't switched out yet. I am searching the 2nd hand market as well. I've been curious about the PXG 2011 thank you for the video. I'm going to check your review video.

    I think you made a terrific pick based on value. Have you ever hit Hogan products? They may rival the value offered by PXG. Tough to match that PXG price at the moment.

      Have a set of Hogans as well but their prices have been creeping up. They make good stuff but I like the 0211s better.

    Going in for an iron fitting this winter. Price does play a role, but it depends really. I have a short list of irons to try and like the Apex DCB irons and they are at the very high end too. If they are that much better than others on my list or one the fitter recommends, then I will go with them regardless of price. But if it's close...then price will determine which way I go. It is also influenced by the number of irons I go with. I normally stop at the 6 or 7, but if I go deeper into the long irons, price might play a bigger role....I think. Heck I am retired old dude and these will likely be my last set of irons, so I could just decide to spend the money too. Oh and I am guessing PXG's....or maybe Srixon.

    My only criticism my irons which have had very little use and have marked like no other iron I have had not the face but the rear of the club.I would definitely recommend head covers although not a lover of them usually like to show off your new clubs not cover them up.

    I have been doing so much research on value irons. I have narrowed it down to these 0211 DC and the Takomo 101. Forgiveness is a big deal for me since I am just now getting back in to golf. Could you give me your opinion on the 2? Perhaps the one you would pick? Thank you for the great golf content.

    Maybe the quality doesn’t come near, but do you have access to the Sub 70 brand. I’ve heard they are good. They are $80 dollars each with the kbs tour shaft and Larkin cross line grip. They will fit you and send you a 6 and 9 iron to try. There are 8 models to choose from from muscle back to super game improvement and have a very good CS rep. Barry in SD, USA

    I look for value if I’m being completely honest. That is why I have the original PXG 0211 irons in my bag. I was able to get a set 5 - GW because of the PXG For Heroes program at $95 a club. I’ve been extremely happy with the irons and don’t feel any need to change them. Unless someone wants to give me a set. 😂

    Hi - you clearly love the 0211 DC and at £75 each they are great value - I am not as good as you and rely on the forgivability that my cavity back Callaway provides - so 64000 dollar question - do you think they are a good option for a 25 handicapper?

    Great video Andy. Got mine 6 months ago at £80 an iron. Love them and certainly keeping them. Then only thing i wish I'd of done, is lofted them up a little. 4 irons not the easiest to hit off the deck being only 19.5 degrees of loft. Be great to see you do comparisons against older irons and modern day 👍

    • @Rich-in6ds
      @Rich-in6ds 3 роки тому +1

      You want to be careful tweaking lofts. Firstly, it changes the lie angle so you need to re-evaluate what lie adjustments you need if you alter the loft. It can also mean you want a slightly different shaft length too. At that point, the fitting starts to become quite complicated.
      Personally feel it’s better to accept the lofts as they are and take an extra wedge. Maybe drop the 4 iron to do so, if you don’t get on well with it.

    • @mrwoo33
      @mrwoo33 3 роки тому +1

      @@Rich-in6ds hi rich, i could have bought them with slighty weaker lofts but went for the standard lofts they offered. Just a small mistake on my behalf. I'm leaving them as they are 👍

    A comparison I'd like to see is Hogan EdgeX vs. PXG. I went with Hogan PTXpro irons but did just get a PXG gen 4 3 wood, and it is a sweet club. Need to hit it more as it's winter and can't fully test it.

    Have you tried the Takomo 101 or 201? The price is similar to PXG, and James Robinson and TXG love them. $489 for the 101 4-PW. IIRC, the PXGs have longer shafts and large loft jacking-- Isn't the idea of your longest iron should not be more than 38 inches and lower than 24 degrees? I think that means you have to start with a 6 or 7 iron.

    I've had the pxg 0311 gen 4 and 3 xp irons. So expensive , but the quality is unmatched and the absolute best looking iron I've ever seen. But playing them is like playing a ping club with the head size. So I switched to taylormade sim2 max irons and have never looked back. A lot less money, a lot longer on distance but still as exact in distance as any club. Pxg is a great brand and of the highest quality which is what you're paying for. But I'll stick with taylormade for now.

    I am torn between going 0211 DC or 0311 gen 3 XP OR P I know I need game improvement I only started playing in the last 2 years. I have had m2s and radspeeds. the p790s have been my dream irons and it seems the blade length of the XP is similar to the P790 but the lofts are a bit more jacked in comparison. Would you say the P790 is more comparable to the 0311 XP or the P? Or is the P more a match for the 770.
