Harrison Jones Not necessarily, any xenomorph can evolve into a queen if necessary. A royal face hugger implants a queen embryo and a queen is born directly as seen in alien 3
I thought Six's story is a perfect example on how you can turn the monster from a horror game or movie into the central protagonist in it's own story.

True Gamer30k If I remeber correctly, in AVP 1 the main xenomorph kills only two predators. First in third level and second in last one. And I cannot recall nothing about rescuing empress. There was only short cinematics about the main xenomorph heading towards Earth in escape modul, so....

This game was actually my first real experience of the xenomorph/predator universe. I remember completely falling for the alien story, there was something so intimate and relatable about the it. I love how misunderstood and underestimated the aliens are in terms of intellect. I also love how raw and driven they are (animal instinct and shit). There's a lot of mystery in their story. 6 was a true marvel; the perfect candidate to represent their perspective. The Predator campaign was fucking cool but I had this profound connection with 6.
We need another game, it needs to be amazing.

Same here. It was my first experience with Alien, Predator, and AVP. I knew the films existed but had never seen them. I would go on to watch them starting, unfortunately, with Alien: Resurrection (because when I was in Colorado it was the only one they had available). I liked it since I hadn't seen the originals, and would go on to buy those. The originals, of course, made me realize how bad Resurrection was, and made me love the universe even more. Now, I run the Alien RPG for a group of friends, and it all goes back to this game I saw at a local store back in 2010.
Plus there was just something proudly fun about stalking your pray and forced to only use melee kills to dispatch everyone. A little more challenging on harder difficulties, but honestly this was the ultimate stealth game. Kill the lights, stalk your prey, get in close and kill, then retreat back into the darkness while you find your next target.
We need another AVP game!! Playing the 2010 one can only entertain me so much!

yeah I didn't care so much for Alien isolation. I guess I see the appeal for it, I understand why others like it, but it just wasn't the game I was looking for. Really hoping we can get back to the action mixed with horror aspect I like.

Fun fact about Specimen 6; In the beginning she's a regular drone, but as the chapter progresses you can see her dome change shape as she becomes a praetorian (I think that's what it's called).
Praetorians are larger and stronger than drones and are meant to be the Queen's royal guards. They're also clever.

Very good summarization Mr. AcidGlow. Six is definitely the most badass xenomorph of all. As you said, it slaughtered countless humans, countless androids and killed two predators. And yes there was other xenomorph, but burden to kill them, was primarly on shoulders of Six, given the fact, that the other xenomorph died in battle. And then an elite predator. This was fight only between Six and the elite hunter. And the elite really was on another level, but eventually it was the Six, who stand victorious. Then it evolved into a Queen. There is no other more successful xenomorph.
And yes I played the game on high difficulty and it was really fun and enjoyable. I went through all three campaigns and though i enjoyed all three, the best and most satisfying in my opinion was the xenomorph camping with Six. It was just pitty, that all campaigns was a bit short for my taste.

None of them manage to became the Queen, like Six did. So again, Six is the most successful. And Grid is far below Six in term of success. Six has far more kills than Grid. Humans, androids and predators. So Grid is not even contest.

Every single xenomorph can morph into a "Queen", if their original queen gone/deceased.
It's still debatable wether the "Original King Xenomorph" is exist to Xenomorph hive. But, looks like the "Rogue Xenomorph" merely just a man made xenomorph.
I personally think that AVP game is the best because of the stories are connected and because of the 3D details
I liked playing as the xenomorph, both in this game and the previous AVP games. It's not often that one of them gets to be a character and not just another minion to be mowed down.
The tutorial level for the #6 reminded me a lot of the scene in Alien Resurrection where the alien and the scientist are having that back and forth through the glass.
if you kill the humans that the scientist gives you and make sure its slow and painful he says: "it seems it likes to play with its food"
6 might be my favorite xenomorph. I think her story was the best out of the three, though the marine campaign scared the hell outta me on my first playthrough as a kid
literally no one ever talked about how if you look closely at the shadows of 6 while you play as her that even tho there is a cutscenes where she is normal if you go up against a bright wall and look at your shadow you will see that six has a preatorian head shadow even though she is nowhere big enough (it's just the preatorian skin for the multiplayer)
Yes preatorian is a skin in the multiplayer (I'm not sure but I think it might have been a pre order or something) but yes preatorian is a skin and the model that was used for 6s model (around the forest area when 6 is normal and crawls out of the tree is when I noticed it)
Well, originally, SEGA and the developers for AvP 2010 had intended on having six become a Queen by first slowly morphing into a Praetorian. This can be seen as in two or three levels in, your tail and structure will be different, along with your shadows being the Praetorian shadows. This is due to you using the model for the Praetorian.
The concept was cancelled, and it was left to a couple missions were you would just end up seeing six become a Queen rather than actually become one, as it hadn't worked out in Multiplayer for the Queen and they decided to scrap it, which is why they even had a model for a new queen in the game in the first place.

6 was my favorite character from that game because it let me see the story form a Xenomorph's perspective giving me a little insight on how they live and what motivates them and she was very powerful witch made playing as her a lot easier then playing as the marine or even the Yauntja
I wish they expanded more on her story and she was more involved in the story of the game. Her levels are basically set before Rookie's and Dark's levels.

I meant that 6th and marines campaign are running at the same time. the Predator was send in later. Even if it´s a predalien it´ll need time to fully grow up. plenty of time for the marine to f*ck up the queen and GTFO from that sh*thole of a planet
They campaigns are kinda offset. The Alien campaign starts first, but the end of it is about the midpoint for the Marine. The Pred campaign starts after the Alien campaign ends, but before the Marines leave the planet with 6 in tow.
AvP Is one of my all time favorites and I honestly loved every moment of the campaign and multi player
She was awesome! I only wished that the Alien storyline was longer. Those levels were so much fun, even on the highest difficulty.
It's funny how the Xenomorph of all people ends up being the most interesting protagonist in the game. Granted, it's a low bar, but still.

You'd think after all these different failed encounters with the Xenomorphs that Weyland-Yutani would figure out to stop being complete tards when it comes to Xenomorph containment.

I use to call 6 agent 6 because of all the stealth missions and felt like a spy
I think 6's story is really good, no voice lines or anything, but you really get immersed in the xenomorphs journey, it also displays the evolution of the xenomorph perfectly, becoming a queen when needed
I really wish the Alien campaign was longer and was unrelated to the events of the other campaigns.
Draw out the testing phase longer. More complicated tests to show that 6 really is very intelligent. In the meantime, 6 is probing for weaknesses in the various containment arenas and makes a plan to escape and free the other xenomorphs.
After escape, free the queen. Then, help establish a hive. Spread. Grow. Evolve. Eventually, this turns into all out war with the marines which catches the attention of the predators. Go from there. Give 6 the ability to morph into a praetorian late in the game to fight the predators. At the end, 6 becomes a queen of a second hive and starts the process over again.
From playing the game, everything seems linked at similar time periods before, during, and after. I used to love the game and play for a long time. Definitely had some variations on Aliens and as well as Predators.
All three Campaigns in this game were great, Alien was my favorite though, I wish it could've been longer.

Yes the Multiplayer wasn'ÄT that good. I want to point my finger at the endless Plasma Spam or Predator Heavy Attack Spam which was shorter than the Alien Heavy Attack. And even on Servers witout Plasmas the Predator Player just pushed you down and threw the Disc Blade at you while the Combat Autolock was still on. 100% hit chance.
But the Graphics, Textures and Animations of every Character (mostly the Alien) was Top. I love to watch Six in the Cutscenes.

I think the game not only has really fun gameplay, but also had an amazing story. Six's story really shed light on how xenos can identify threats, work to create more aliens, communicate with the queen, and become a queen.

The royal jelly caches were also a really nice touche with specimen 6 eventually molting into a queen.
They say that 6 was originally a royal chest-burster but usually a royal chest-burster from birth/chest bursting, you can already see the extra smaller arms.
I loved playing 6 most of all in that game.
This was definitely one of my fav games, and this was my favourite story even though it felt short compared to the pred story. I'd love to see a game like this that I could use a female Yautja though.
I would love to see the 2010 AVP game as the next AVP movie as Dark retrieves/destroys a bunch of Yautja tech and kills a predalien, Specimen 6 has to be one of the most successful xenomorphs when propagating the species and defeated the wolf predator in combat, removed his biomask and had him impregnated(a different wolf predator) and Rookie kills a matriarch queen which is the toughest type of xenomorph and there are very few of them
I loved the game personally. Playing as the alien was badass in every way. Gotta hand it to being a marine though, the game on nightmare gets pretty damn tough.

@@michelleperez-avila8859 Honestly, six wouldn't be dead during an encounter with the rookie in the marine campaign or xenomorph campaign, she'd most likely flee while injured from the rookie during combat to avoid the timeline in both campaigns being screwed up.
She was probably to old to seperate from the ovipositor again. Or if she did, she knew she wouldnt be able to save the hive.
It makes you wonder why, out of all the xenos at her command, that she sent 6 so far away attacking human and predator forces that she couldn't get back to the refinery in time.
Its almost like the Queen planned it that way. That she knew 6 was the best candidate for securing the hives survival. And considering that in the lore, most warriors and drones are only about as smart as a dog and 6 is shown to be far smarter from the get go, it's not hard to believe the Queen bred her as the new queen from the start. Queens are said to be at or above human intelligence. Having a replacement you know the Weyland company wont kill, and is a skilled and intelligent enough warrior to best predators in combat? That old girl may have known exactly what she was doing from the start.
imagine if 6 was sent to the Sulaco where she broke free resulting in the aliens on board in Colonial Marines

6 was a very intelligent specimen everyone refers to call him 6 even though he had no other further name but he was special because even though that you can't tell if it's a queen you can tell after the old Queen has died he was special in every way
Its a Shame that it turned into a queen on the space station with limited amount of space and especially life forms it can use as hosts to increase the hive. Hopefully it returned back to the planet where it could have found a better secluded discreet hidden Place To Settle Down and start a hive of her own, where it would have more hosts , more room for her hive and be more protected than in the space station. But its all just a thought...

Playing as Six was my favorite campaign story. Also, I would like to know what station she was on when she metamorphosis into a queen and if it is connected to any other Alien lore.
I loved the PVA game, it was just too bad the multiplayer never caught on, it was SUPER fun.
Although the Preds seam a bit OP to be honest and the Marines gun should do more damage, Alien is always my fav to play though..

i loved the game!
I honestly very much enjoyed it. but greatly wished it had been a longer campaign. the marine campaign was very enjoyed as it really felt horrifying especially early on. As for the predator campaign it was just way way way too short but it felt about right.
man i miss this game i used to play this game for ages on my old computer

Imo this is still the best alien or predator game we’ve gotten. I hope we can get a new game at some point based on this franchise
I loved the game. I wish we'd get another.
I really liked the game, they managed to force you to play like Predator, alien and marine from movies because of game mechanics.
There are several things I didn't liked about this game:
-Knockdowns and stuns are too long (you are basically dead)
-AI is weak.
-No possibility to play with bots online.
-too small content. In online only one alien type, 4 predator weapons and 6 marines weapons? That's weak.
-Too long finisher animations, with no option to cancel them.

I have all 3 SEGA/Fox Alien games for 360 (AVP; Colonial Marines; Isolation). AVP is a great game and a lot better than Colonial Marines. And the Marine campaign audio logs are better than Colonial Marines. There were more in AVP which ended up fleshing out AVP's story/backstory more. My favorite audio log is Weyland's 3rd log with the Ripley reference. Even though Ripley isn't mentioned by name I'm sure any fan of the Alien and Predator movies will know it's about her.
We need another good Alien game where you play the Alien. Could be a subversion of survival horror.
In the first film, Big Chap was turning crew into eggs. So a game where you play a single isolated Alien on some kind of human colony. You must kill for food and your own safety, but also capture humans to create eggs.

i actually would like a continue on the sory from 6 ... i mean common guys when the player can actualy be the queen ... i would like the idea of running arround as a queen ... with some of your childeren

Did Specimen Six ever figure out how to use other weapons, cause it would be uber cool to see a xeno actually aiming and firing either a pulse rifle or a smartgun. Frightening, but cool. Xeno runs out of ammo and uses traditional xeno methods of dispatching its enemies...
