Also, for the record, my Tandemaus did not evolve offscreen. It was level 25+ and leveled up after KOing a Pokémon. It showed the evolution and everything.

From what I understand, It’s technically not an evolution when the switch out then back into it again. It’s called Hero Form. It’s an ability in battle. Think back to SWSH that female rival’s mouse, how it had a nice and mean form. That’s what I think what it’s based on.
Missed opportunity to give Pawniard three more evolution with Queen, Rook, and Knight as the basis alluding to the Pawn's ability to promote into different pieces
They’d have to make a whole female Pokémon based off a maiden that evolves into a princess that evolves into a queen … I know not the ideal chessboard contingency, that would require a ton of thought … or just branched evo treatment based on gender at the bisharp line for queen

Modern Pokemon evolutions be like: Do 5 jumping jacks on a house while screaming into your switch which is being held upside down with on hand also while eating a cupcake with the other hand while your Pokémon knows the move wave crash and holding a lumb berry while it is at exactly 69 HP.
For Kingambit, do you have to KO the Bisharps with the leader crests, or will catching them after attacking them will be enough? If not, then will Tera Raid battles work too? I don’t like KOing overworld wild Pokémon anymore.
So does this mean Bisharp is getting Debuffed? Will bisharp be unviable in competitive? Or does the Evo just exchange stats (Make it slower, but a lot tankier) ?
the evo does get more stats, but to be fair bisharp's stat total was not that high, at least not high enough that it would be problematic for it to get an evolution, it's stat total being 490. kingambit is more on the higher end of stat totals, with 550. so a strong pokemon, but not to the point of being broken, at least stat wise
I don't think it will happen considering it will kind of ruin the whole joke that Dunsparce is. Dunsparce is based on the yokai, Tsuchinoko, a flat snake that is said to be rare but kind of disappointing in the end. The fact that people are so disappointed at Dudunsparce is quite ironic considering that's literally what Dunsparce is.

For Kingambit, do you have to KO the Bisharps with the leader crests, or will catching them after attacking them will be enough? If not, then will Tera Raid battles work too? I don’t like KOing overworld wild Pokémon anymore.

So does this mean Bisharp is getting Debuffed? Will bisharp be unviable in competitive? Or does the Evo just exchange stats (Make it slower, but a lot tankier) ?
I haven't seen the stats yet, but even with a debuff, you can use it with Eviolite now to make it tankier

the evo does get more stats, but to be fair bisharp's stat total was not that high, at least not high enough that it would be problematic for it to get an evolution, it's stat total being 490. kingambit is more on the higher end of stat totals, with 550. so a strong pokemon, but not to the point of being broken, at least stat wise
Bisharp lost Knock Off. That's the only significant change.
I'll be running Bisharp too since they ruined Kingambit with the chair gimmick.

I don't think it will happen considering it will kind of ruin the whole joke that Dunsparce is.
Dunsparce is based on the yokai, Tsuchinoko, a flat snake that is said to be rare but kind of disappointing in the end.
The fact that people are so disappointed at Dudunsparce is quite ironic considering that's literally what Dunsparce is.
