A leak down compression test will pinpoint the fault. Leak into crankcase= rings. Leak into coolant+=head gasket, Leak out exhaust= valves. I never heard valves mentioned
Hi, Basically we found that the cylinder head gasket had a breach to the crankcase , but with these bikes shim clearance is also important for compression to be as it should. a leak down test would deffinatly work, however in my case as I cranked it it was clear that all the compression was being lost to the crankcase identifying the problem.
