@KillingWithaSmile613 I like Purdy, but I keep it real. 0-3 means he's very average at best without his top guy. Which is fine because average qbs can win superbowls with the right pieces are place. Trent Dilfer, Eli Manning and others have proved so. And now Purdy is proving it too.
CMC went 90 yards on 20 carries and 2 TDs. One was a punch in after Purdy ran it to the 5 yard line. He also had 4 rec for 42- all check downs. On the receiving side Deebo had 8 receptions for 89 yards. Aiyuk had 3 for 68. One was huge and changed the momentum. Kittle had 2 for 27.
None of that… absolutely none of that was historical or hadn’t been done before.
The 49ers had 6 third down conversions. I believe Brock ran for 3, passed two to the damn fullback and one to Juan Jennings. That wasn’t nothing to do with schemes or any of the players you named that you think are better than him in their offense. It wasn’t Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk or CMC that converted those 3rd downs. It was Brock Purdy.
Brock was the reason they won that game. Brock was the best player on the field that game. His second half performance has never been done in any half in the last 30 years including all regular season games. Thats 8,113 NFL games bruh. Cam, you never did that in a half. Mahomes, Brady, Lamar, Burrow, prime Vick, prime Cam, Hurts, Josh Allen, none of them have done that in a half. Don’t tell me that’s a game manager. Game managers can’t do that. I don’t care who they have around them. That’s all cap. Admit when you wrong. That’s what a man does.
Lets be honest, brandon aiyuk is the silent mvp of tht game. Brock threw essentially a pick and tht ball bounced right off tht helmet and aiyuk made the play and catching tht ball. If aiyuk doesnt make that play, your probably not writing this.
@@ronan7264 Aiyuk made a spectacular catch. I mentioned that in my post. Many spectacular single catches have happened in the last 30 years. The only reason it was even close to a pick is because of the contact while the ball was in the air. Without that contact. Aiyuk is directly in line with that ball and it’s not even close to a pick. Are you saying Brock should have known before throwing it that there would be contact to push Aiyuk off the ball?
Purdy’s second half performance was many different plays culminating in 150+ yards, 50+ rushing yards, 1 TD, 0 int, and 80% completion percentage. That has not been done in over 8,000 games in a single half. Are you saying Aiyuk’s catch was the best catch in the last 30 years of any game?
Purdy has thrown 3 dropped interceptions every single game he’s played. I’ll give him credit on the comeback. But the defense deserves more Praise in the second half than purdy

Being down agaisnt the packers and lions is one thing because they are young you can get away with more, but i dont think you can do that against a team with worlds more experience like the chiefs. @@ronan7264 well it wasn’t a third and long so they still had another shot at keeping the drive going even if BA doesn’t make that grab. I’m glad he did. It was one amazing play that may have kept us from winning if it didn’t happen. Brock had multiple 3rd down conversions that definitely would have ended our chances. Two crazy scramble drill passes to Juice on 3rd down, the crazy floater to Jennings and a few others. All of those had to happen or it’s over.

It's when an opinion or an idea just gets shut down. It doesn't get talked about for what it is but instead gets berated and attacked. There is something very unsettling to me about someone that has done something at the highest of levels but isnt allowed to have an opinion or speak on it. I am a nobody but hopefully I am something to somebody. Far too often are opinions and ideas just shut down without a respectful conversation. Voices on a topic deserve to be heard not just because they work for a giant media outlet but because every opinion matters. Whether right or wrong. Even in the light of wrong or harsh opinions there is something to be taken away from that. I just need a brief description on what a game manager is. For example can game managers make big plays? Or just limited to hand offs and check downs?
A game manager is basically a follower to the offensive scheme or gameplan. Usually they fit into a scheme and yes can make big plays if the gameplan works. Game changers are different in that they are shot callers and dont necessarily need a gameplan or scheme to make a big play. If Rodgers or even CJ Stroud(game changers) went to any team then the team would have to change their offensive outlook. A game changer would take more initiative to make or force changes also. if Purdy went to any team then the gameplan really would not change much and Purdy would not take authoritative measures to change that offense. Managers rely on team more than the latter but also one is not inherently better than the other. Factors like team, coaching, and more come into play. Its why Cam stesses it not being a "bad thing". Id consider Brady to be the best game manager and Mahomes to be the best game changer from a historical/carreer standpoint.

What i love about Purdy is his competitive drive and ability to improve. We have seen many NFL qbs who had a good season or two and then they regress and cant adapt to teams figuring them out. Cam regressed after that SB loss and only had 1 or 2 good seasons. I think Purdy will be around for the long run and he will only get better and better. In my opinion Purdy is already better than Cam ever was.
The NFL let teams hit Newton in the head all season after his Super Bowl. They were happy to oblige because Newton was a big trash talker. But that’s why his play suffered, he was a worker who improved every year up to that point.

Cam was an athlete first duel threat QB and had an amazing MVP season using his legs. Purdy top skill is decision making but he does it at the highest level and can improvise/extend the play as needed. Give him more years to gain stats and he will be "field general." Cam couldn't make the transition to a manager when his body started failing him. Maybe that's where his hate is coming from
