Thanks CT! So... what happens first- a Ghia/Dweezil cruise or a Rusty/Vandemic cruise? Great work by the way, really cool to see your continued progress on the Ghia. Thanks for dropping in!
Thanks Robert, the quickie coat of paint was a game changer. I'm really enjoying this phase of the project and excited about getting Dweezil back on the road. Thanks for watching!
Nice work! I didn't realize I was participating in VDubRun21. However, I have made great strides as well in 2021 with my project. My sons and I have finished refurbishing the chassis on the '70 Beetle Sedan. It may not seem like much but relatively speaking it's a lot. Especially when you have 3 children and work in an extremely demanding industry. Thank you for the motivation and inspiration to get off the couch so to speak and all like that. Thanks as well for allowing me to tag along. Between you, Jawbreaker and Mike Fn I've learned, seen and accomplished a lot in 2021.
Awesome news Mofoco 1432 and thanks for the update. A big part of what we've hoped to do with #VDubRun21 is encourage friends to do more while maintaining balance. Sounds like you and your boys have nailed it- and finishing a chassis is a huge accomplishment. Keep it up and thanks for the support!
@@HapticGarage It is a good feeling to be done with something or just knowing progress was made. I left out an important contributor to my learning process and that is Mustie1. He's not all VW but there is a lot of knowledge to be absorbed there. I've been told for every generation there is 20 years of knowledge wasted due to the older generation not willing to pass it on. That's my goal with my boys. I want to try give them something they can take with them forever. I could go on. I'll leave it there and look forward to more of your stuff. Meanwhile, I have a '70 Sedan that needs some attention. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Thanks for sharing Mofoco 1432, that's a noble goal you have to pass it on. I cherish the knowledge and experience that has been passed to me and I know your boys will feel the same. Keep us updated on the '70!
Thanks Jason! This is a fun part of the project regardless of the outcome, but I'm looking foward to an interesting cruise soon. Thanks for always being here, great to hear from you!
Great job and lots of work to do. I think the only thing you’re missing is a few more pairs of hands! Dweezil looks very happy with all the love he’s been getting and I can’t wait to see him driving. Is the DMV “tag” a set of licence plates or something else? Great video
Thanks Aussie Beatle, yes- lots of work but we're really into the fun stuff now. Dweezil has been patient and is happy to be looking more like a car these days. The DMV is the Deparment of Motor Vehicles; it's just the government office we go to in the US to get a driver's license, license plate, transfer titles, etc. You figured it out- with all of that other stuff in place I just needed to get a tag. The scariest part was a long time ago when I applied for Dweezil's title in this state... I had moved from a different state that did not provide titles for older vehicles. It seemed Dweezil had fallen through the cracks but the official I was dealing with was helpful in getting it done. That made yesterday a lot easier! Thanks as always for the support, I hope you're doing well today!
Hi, Brent well you've been very busy since the last update.🛠 I´m still here to follow you on the newest escapades in the days to come you made great progress with the beetle👍🏻. I´ll be here to watch buddy💥. keep it going yeah👏. 🇺🇸☮🇳🇴greetings from Hubertus.
Thanks Hubertus, always great to hear from you. I'm grateful to be working on Dweezil right now and happy to have folks like yourself with whom to share the process. Keep it up on your T3, your diligence will be rewarded!
Love the Rustoleum hammered paint! It was my go to paint for my Bug, used it on the underside of the pan and on the engine tins. Hides a multitude of sins!👍😉
Very exciting! Great job. Very happy to have you back. I believe you can pull this off. FYI, the engine rebuild is complete and running like a Koo Koo clock!
That's great news Michael! These fascinating little engines do sound nice when everything is in order. As for Dweezil, we'll be journeying forward regardless of the destination and having a great time doing it. Thanks for the support and we'll see you again sooner this time!
I guess everyone has some issues to get ready this year lol. But this is a way to get it on the road by the end of this year. Tik tak tik tak almost ready🤣🤣🤣 You got this mate👍👍👍
Yeah.... the clock is ticking '55! I'll be happy with a fun process and a safe drive even if it takes a little longer- so far it's been great. Thanks for the support!
Thanks Zimm, I'm happy with it for the effort involved. It's Rustoleum "Hammered" paint shot with a cheapie HVLP gun. This will be easy to remove & touch up as I continue the metal work. Thanks for watching!
This is why you’re our leader!!!
Way to go Brent!
Thanks Gary, this whole thing has been a great exercise. Thanks for participation in and support of #VDubRun21!
Looking good Brent! Can't wait to see this one cruising down the road!

Looking forward to the updates. Great job Brent!
Thanks Wolf, I'm heading back out to the shop now. Just checked out your link pin adjustment video- great work!
I like that hammered finish.
Two thumbs up!
Thanks John, I kinda like it too! It should work well for this phase of the project. Thanks for watching!
Interior looks great.
Thanks Greg, I like how it turned out for the painting project's intentions. Will probably keep things simple inside. Thanks for always being here!
Wow! You got a ton accomplished since your last live feed. Coming along!

Yeah it's handy stuff Nutt Farm, I may try using it with some hardener to make it even tougher in a future project. For now, it's perfect!

Aww thanks Ozarks Hillbilly! I'm glad to have some time to get back to the project, even if it is late in the game. Thanks for being here!
