Thanks Aussie Beatle, it's fun to get into the details sometimes. This electrical stuff is fertile ground for a deep dive, thanks for supporting the project!
Hi, Brent, this will be great, but a big challenge to this electrical wiring harness. go for it I think you will recreate the harness very well. 👍🏻greetings.Hubertus.
A quality reproduction and careful installation is probably the best method most of the time. I'm making a few changes but really I just like this stuff!
@@HapticGarage Truthfully, I couldn't do it by myself. wiring is yet another true weakness of mine, I understand electricity pretty well. The problem is that I am profoundly color blind. Yet another area I fail at! LAUGHS.
How come you didn’t buy a premade wiring harness? You must enjoy the challenge. I’m thinking you’re going to have to build it up before you pull the main Loom through the car.
Hey Darrin, thanks for the question. Yup, I like the challenge but mostly I'm picky about parts and methods. I'm not saving any money doing it this way, but if all goes well it will be better than stock. There will be a few mock ups before the loom is dressed and installed. I'm expecting future upgrades so I'd like to make that simpler too. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question Mike. I put that together based (mostly) on the '68-'69 schematic with a few changes for the 4-pin flasher, extra gauges, and trailer connection wiring. It'll be fun to see if it works!
This re-wire will go well. You are the most organised and competent DIY guy I’ve ever seen

Thanks Hubertus, challenging indeed but I enjoy the electrical stuff. Hopefully nothing melts!
Yes sir! You got this.
Thanks Matthew! Progress is slow but going well and having a great time. More to come!
I know you said in the other video that the paint was temporary but she looks good man!
Thanks colespock!
I’ll be watching closely on this as I’ll be doing the same soon.
Cool, looking forward to what you do with The Raven!
Yes, I have, but in truth I bought the correct wiring harness (pre-made) and simply installed them. I have never built the harness(s) myself.

Oh that would make it tough!
@@HapticGarage Just makes it exciting. nThats why i buy the harnesses in stead of seeing smoke every time i start them up
I'll be watching closely. I need to rewire Luci
Sounds good Michael, I hope you find some helpful info!
Are you done yet?
This is going to be good!
Finally got the last bit of wire I think I'll need, so thing are heating up now. Should be fun win, lose, or draw!
@@HapticGarage excited to see the progress!
Me too!

@@HapticGarage oh I get it. You’re going to include extra wire for other devices that would not be included in an aftermarket wiring harness. Cool.
Yup, you got it!
Am also a rewire can I come over
Q Brent, where did you get the spread sheet for each wire?

A job on my list I'm not looking forward to
Yeah, it's a bit tedious but I like the electrical stuff. Good luck with your project and let us know how it goes!
@@HapticGarage I will as soon as I get project moved to new home
I have 3 for you to do
Thanks for the offer but let's see if I can get 1 to work! Thanks for watching Joel!
Anytime 😊 let me know if you need help lol
Sounds like a plan!
