  • In this week’s Parashah Point on the Torah Portion called, Ki Tavo, we read about the curses in Deuteronomy 28 that will befall Israel if they fail to be obedient. Most of us understand the value of blessings that come from obedience, but have you considered the value of curses?

The two go hand and hand the blessings and the curses. This is true, as demonstrated on the video, for real life as well. This I try to impress on my son all is still applicable for us today.

Like God letting Cain live after murdering his brother. He carried a curse but if anyone killed him the curse was 7 times worse. Seems to me Cain received the mark of authority. To kill one in authority (say a police officer) carries stiffer penalties than say a vagrant. God proves He is fair and just in His dealings with us!
