Whenever doing this job never ever take the adjustment SCREWS off or the bands inside the transmission will in fall apart, then all that work putting the kit in would’ve been all for nothing. Read instructions or watch LOADS of videos before attempting to do this. 👍🏼 GOOD LUCK
You were able to take out the band bolt and re insert with no problem? I’ve heard of a piece that falls into the pan and would require the tranny to be pulled in order to put back… the square head snapped off…
Don’t have to take it all the way out I don’t think. Just back it off. But if you move it out too far there is probably a link that will fall into the pan. But the pans are not terrible to remove.
what tool did you use to remove servo and avoid spring tension? also to hold it in place while installing new one. there's not much room under unless you remove the exhaust pipe, maybe the intermediate bracket holding the tranny?
Hey I’m wanting to put this new kit it in? I was having a flare on my 2-3 shift but a couple weeks ago I got slippage at 3k rpm in 3rd. I’m hoping my servo broke like yours and I’m getting no pressure to my intermediate bands. What was your symptoms prior to this.
So this is a common fault with these shit french made 5 speed transmissions? I unfortunately have one in my 2010 FG XR6 ford falcon, ive heard nothing but bad feedback regarding these transmissions,i have installed an external air cooled oil cooler to cool the transmission down as they do run very hot and adds to the failure of these transmissions. I think i will be upgrading to the ZF 6speed when this one inevitably shits itself.

Just did this repair yesterday on my 2011 ranger (same transmission). So if your o/d light is flashing and you notice a hard or non-existent 2-3 shift and if you do not have have an OD shift then this is a good indicator. If you put your transmission manually into "2" and it will hold at 4000rpm then it's not your bands in the tranny and might not be the solenoid pack. Word of advise, if the cap does not come out easy, spray penetrating oil, remove the exhaust and tap on the cap with a hammer to free it from the housing. If you try to do the drilling method there's a chance you will break the cap
@@orunenf5533 5r55s 05 mustang o/d flashes and it catches in all all 1,2,3 gears when I shift manually, doesn't shift in d but engages in all gears. it drives but it feels weak, itslips holds 2k rpms on take off past 40 mph goes all the way to 4.5k rpm at 100 and hour could it be these servos? Again I have no shifting.
@@RobertYayo my 05 is literally doing the same thing where I put it into drive and it acts like it’s in neutral and just revs, I can put it into 3-2-1 and back into d and it’ll work…

I have heard of that as well, it's a possibility that happened.

How I know if is the cervo or the solenoid pack? What Need remplace ?
I'm not sure, mine was leaking from the cover, that's how i knew which one on my transmission.

@@TurboCarlos sounds like a shift solenoid, they are incharge of alot of things. Check the connector on the side make sure it looks good
Half that s*** you could have made yourself what a waste of money. Pliers and snap ring can be modified with a grinder takes about 2 minutes
yea if ya had both already on hand. Not ever situation fits your narrative
