I disagree. Two of these can CERTAINLY be a substitute or a new purchase for a sound system in a home. It depends on what you are looking for. Most people will be satisfied, I'm sure. Nowadays we don't need a conventional stereo sound system to enjoy quality music.
My sound bar died so I bought a second mini. They work very well. You need Apple TV to use them as tv speakers. I hear programs way better than before due to where I have them positioned.
It’s not wireless because HomePod also controls all of your HomeKit devices. It is the anchor for you lights, garage door opening all of that. So it has to be powered
It comes with a charger & cheap because when you’re buying a “HomePod” you’re potentially gonna be buying some “HomeKit” accessories all of them profits Apple. You’ll use Apple Music subscription is next to sure for Apple and it’ll make steady profit for them for really long time it’s also the reason they made HomePods really robust. You’ll be fan of apple when you know how good decisions they make to make business
Can’t see spending 600 for two HomePods so why yes it does sound better the two minis for 200 bucks does the job. If I really want a full immersive experience I use my AirPod max headphones and nothing beats 🎧 that experience
Can't power from mac mini. I forgot what watt this wall unit is I think 18W but I know on another review might have tried a 12W and didn't work. Recommended to just use the one that comes with it.
I was like.. wait..what? a speaker in photography channel? But anyway, honestly that's a really good review! The capabilities of the product was tested. Profound opinions, I love that!! 🙌🔥
Maybe it’s just me but have you tried to them on the table not high up on boxes. I did the same thing put mines on a box then took it down somehow it sounded different 🤔.
New subscriber. Love the video thanks, really helpful. I’ve just got 2 HomePod Minis and I have an existing original HomePod. Is it possible to set up three together as a sort of surround sound?
@@GastonShutters and what about U1 chip etc. for example for now I can go to two HomePod minis and where new bigger HomePod will be available I can buy it.
They seem nice but i will prefer Marshall in that price tag!! Retro look better sound quality and volume!! Cheers man i am new in your channel!! I subscribed yesterday!! Keep up the good work!

👌
two full size homepods are FAR superior however two mini homepods on louder are a good alternative almost as good .

that's great to know
Perfect for those in the ecosystem
👍
you can not connect this to a computer, I've tried it and it jut blinks bcuz it can't draw the needed power to function.
It is basically downward firing speaker, maybe you’d get better sound putting it on the desk than on the box.
Yup. That’s the Apple recommendation 👍🏾
It’s not wireless because HomePod also controls all of your HomeKit devices. It is the anchor for you lights, garage door opening all of that. So it has to be powered
love the video but fyi if you plug it into a computer it won’t work bc the power input is not sufficient, unless you have a computer that outputs 20w
Your video quality, framing and lighting is simply mind blowing 🔥🔥
Aww man thank you but I think I am a bit off centered lol. Thank you

Hehehe yep you are right there
How can I ungroup the homepods?… I want to take one of them to the kitchen and play different music
I actually sold them long time ago. I’m done with them. Loving my Klipsch speakers.

Indeed!
Great reveiw, bud....wonderful video...do you happen to know if I can run a smaller wall plug, or can I pliug it into my mac mini 2020? Thanks!

Hehe. Thanks man
Nice little balloons! I would like to know what do you think of sigma and samyang lenses? Which one is the best? And which one are you recommend buy?
Great lenses. There are many of them. Check out some of my lenses reviews right here in the channel

Good review
Glad you enjoyed it
Oh man!... I’m really on the fence to get one of these, usually go for Alexa but the sound seems to be pretty good!!
Yup same here
It may be the better sounding little speaker. But it has low volume and I guess that is to avoid distortion.
I think if you are into apple eco system, this makes much more sense! Another great review 🙌
🍎
Speaker or headphone which are the best choice?
Speakers all day! Hehehe
@@GastonShutters Headphones all night!!! Hahaha
Imagine a HomePod subwoofer!!!!! Yes I would 100% drop soundbars and use homepods for audio
Just, buy a subwoofer😂
@@ThatGuyQuestionmark then you couldn’t connect it to the homepods😐
@master Yoda lol
@@Jayvante you can with airpot express 2

I did what I could with the available resources I had. I think it illustrate the capability pretty decently.
🖤 sick of it all 🤟
😇🤘
How about 4 homepod?
Does this stereo pair work with MacOS ?
Yes. It does.
@@GastonShutters how do you go about that ? I heard that MacOS does not support AirPlay 2 which is what you'd need to pair multiple Homepod devices .
By the way, I heard about new Tamron 70-300 lens. Could you do a review on that lens?
As soon as I get one I will. !
I'm cringing. You can't test stereo reliably with speakers that close. Even such small speakers.
New subscriber. Love the video thanks, really helpful. I’ve just got 2 HomePod Minis and I have an existing original HomePod. Is it possible to set up three together as a sort of surround sound?
I think so I’ll have to do some research because I’ve never tried that
Hi, what about compare 2 HP minis and one homepod? Which way should you go?
@@PavelMisar I’ll make it easy for you. Go with one home pod. ! No question about it.
@@GastonShutters and what about U1 chip etc. for example for now I can go to two HomePod minis and where new bigger HomePod will be available I can buy it.
No, you can’t do it. You need two homepods mini or two HomePod (1st gen).
They seem nice but i will prefer Marshall in that price tag!! Retro look better sound quality and volume!! Cheers man i am new in your channel!! I subscribed yesterday!! Keep up the good work!
I actually returned it. After much analysis the built in speakers of my iMac sound way better than these two little guys.
I need your playlist lol
Satisfying unboxing at first 🤣💯
Heheheh glad you liked it
FYI it's not a charger.....the mini isn't a battery operated device - it's the plug for the wall.
It charges my phone. I believe I used it
But the speaker won’t work without the device, so they add it. Sure, you could connect it to a own power USB. I think it’s perfect.
Listening to HomePod mini audio on my HomePod mini is weird
Hhahaha
Never used, so its mystery for me ⚡
Pretty good
advice is to place 5 ft apart for dual , so pity this guy hasn't read / researched
Yes having them so close it pointless. Get much better sound placing further apart!
thats cute😍 but that permanent cable is a distraction 😑
Agreed
Not if you plan to have them stationary. They will never be moved in my use-case. Hence, stationary cable is ok (but not optimal for sure).
It would have been better if it didn't had the wire attached to it. It could have made it more portable
Yep. I think so too
originals are better
