I wish you did my braids back in the day, the “stylist” I went to had an attitude and my braids were coming out at school. Smh* I paid that bug eyed lady $287 and she kept raising prices each visit for the same style basic cornrows with extensions. I’m glad my edges survived lol but I follow your methods for protective style takedown it saves me from a lot of breakage no doubt😊

Mmmm, tell the truth! I’ve been taking down my faux locs the LONG way. This is why I don’t listen to hair horror stories because so many women cut their hair with the takedown of faux locs.
I haven’t cut my own hair yet and I’ve been taking down my faux locs for a week and a half now.
My mini twist appointment is in two weeks. I’m loving taking my hair down and prepping my hair in PEACE. Not rushing and giving my hair the TLC it deserves.
Girllll yes take your time …. Because every strand and inch counts lol , we are a little obsessed but it’s for a good cause , long ass hair !!! And be super careful, the long way avoids all mistakes

Girl, I need to freeze my ends with flaxseed gel. I’ve been redoing the twists I have in my hair (still taking down my faux locs) and they want to dread so badly.

Try a steamer. Softens the hair
Yep yep! My favorite clothes steamer is my favorite hair steamer lol. Add conditioner and spray ACV diluted water…break into sections and steam.
