Wow! I remember when you did the big chop. It has came along so fast. I chopped my hair the same time you did and I’m no where near your length
I think pregnancy had a huge hand in my hair growth and post pregnancy is taking everything it gave me lol my hair would probably be the same length as yours
You should detangle your hair after taking the braids out with oil and leave in conditioner, preferably oil and finger detangling.
Maybe next time you take down a protective style, consider adding moisture to avoid unnecessary hair coming out. I typically get some cheap conditioner and use a wide tooth comb. That may help too. I hate this is happening to you. But I’m very hopeful that your hair will bounce back from all of this and be better than it ever was before!!
Also, are you still taking your prenatal vitamins (or a woman’s multivitamin)? I think the issue(s) may be internal. Heal from the inside out with the foods and nutrients you intake and your water consumption.
🙏🏾🙏🏾 I stopped taking them because I felt like they made me sluggish. I had more energy once I stopped. But I’m sure the issue is internal. This is far too much shedding from the root
Do you have a facial skin care routine?
I do and it’s the simplest routine ever. Wash, moisturize and exfoliate once a week. I’ll upload a more detailed video.
You don't need to cut. Protective style and moisturise and leave it alone.
Yes yes, I just need to learn how to sit on my hands and leave my head alone
Unfortunately protective styling and moisturizing won’t cure the split ends. At some point, I think Brittany would need to cut off the damage (lord knows I’m down for a big chop to let it all go). And then she can protective style and moisturize. She may just still be going through the postpartum shedding stage. It sucks, but her body will soon settle and finds it’s “normal”.
