Thanks for the very nice comment.... I really couldn't find a good demo for this guitar, one where you hear the Piezo and a Mic in front of it... and where you get it in context... most people play WITHIN other music... Great guitar for the price... the Guild sounds more full, but the PRS reacts finer AND has a cutaway and a piezo...
Holy crap, you are COMPLETE right, I just checked... it IS a Custom...I ordered a Standard at PRS and the infact sent me a custom... I never bothered to check because my assumtion was that I got what I ordered... well then... I guess I got a better deal then... thanks for pointing that out !!!
The matched spruce top on that PRS is pretty bad but a very nice sounding guitar.its a custom so its rosewood back and side dude.the standard is mahogany back and sides.
The prs is fantastic...I have the standard with piezo...I have had it for a year now and ive compared it to 2000 dollar gibson acoustics... This prs acoustic is the daddy for a third of the price of any comparable guitar. Buy one before there are none left. Great review buddy.
I actually fell over laughing with this review. SOOO damned funny. Aside from the humour it was really informative and almost a scientific experiment. Please do more and forget the negative comments...the humour took away the dryness. Efforts were made to be objective (if that is at all possible?). And the comparisons were definitely of use. Roll on buddy...looking forward to the next one
Really... well, I don't know how much the Guild is, I bought it used without a scratch for 500 Euro, so apparently taht was a great deal... definitely not the easiest choice for live, I give you that, that's why I bought the PRS !
Resurrecting an old vid..... I have the A30E and it's awesome. Rosewood back and sides, spruce top, ebony board and bridge. Could you try running it through a Mooer Radar with a few new acoustic IRs? Thinking of doing this for live gigs. Cheers
No worries. I think it's cool that you got a Custom when ordering the Standard. Again, great demo. I'm planning to get myself the PRS SE Angelus Acoustic-Electric Guitar too. I have about $750.00 saved up. And your demo really helped make my final decision. Just a little bit more to go to reach that $1,500.00 mark. Haha :)
Weiter so mann!
I dont think the top is supposed to be two different colors. I think that could be a bad book end job. These guitars are getting great reviews anyway so I would like to play one.
Wow... I have the exact same headphones and two dogs. Until you said that I thought that was my dog. Lol. That was awesome. Nice demo. So much better than the PRS demos. Weiner's awesome, but he could've done more conventional stuff. You play like most people I've seen who aren't Andy McKee and Steve Vai play acoustic. Great sounding guitar. Now I know what I'm getting when I finally have money to upgrade my acoustic.
I was all ready and set to buy a Yamaha A3R... Until I saw this guitar online and found out it's about the same price from where I would order the Yammy. The PRS comes with a case, the A3R does not. +1 for PRS. That aside do you have any thoughts about these two very nice but quite different looking guitars? I would love to get your opinion. Thanks!
It's a really great review, you did a great job. One thing bothering me the entire time was that I believe the SE Angelus you're holding there is a Custom, not a Standard. Those back and sides look like the Rosewood PRS put on their Custom version. The fretboard and bridge look like their Ebony too, not Rosewood. Check out the difference at SweetWater. Otherwise, great demo. :)
Wow. I love this guitar so much. Can I have a quick question. Do you know how to eliminate the sshshs or (electric noise) when you record. I try to figure how to do it. But right now I don't know why. If you can help me, I really appreciate it. Thank you so much
Tolles Review!
whait a sec. You ordered a guitar without playing it first? A mean..did you know how does it feels in hands before you bought it..? (great video as usual ;)
Hi G'day, I just I wanted to ask if you guys have a lefthand version of SE Alex Lifeson Signature Acoustic guitar or any other lefty guitar? Thank you in advance
many thanks for your demo. great demo though you made mistakes during your play but who cares :) i just need to know how the prs sounds and you did. thanks again. p.s: what is your takamine? i find it quite good for the money
Pretty impressed with the inbuilt pickup. They generally sound like total crap. This sounds decent at least. So if you are playing live, where you need to just use the pickup, would sound decent.
Klasse Gemacht Mann. Ick werde diese Gitarre jetze koofen ;-) Cooler Test & Total sympatischer Typ. Jetzt im Ernst: Danke für die Info!!!!! Bestregs DaBluesRock
When I saw this thing cost less than $800 I couldn't believe it. That said you're funny. Lol. And if saying piezo "pee-a-zoe" is German and English, than I guess it's a German English pronunciation in standard English. :P
He even excused himself for not playing perfect. Why do you have to come here to complain about something the video is not even about..? Don't bother to answer cause I'm not even interested why, I was just pissed.
Blackbird is near and dear to millions of people. I have a rule - if you can't do a song justice, keep practicing it but don't perform it live (or record it). Not a personal attack. Why I'm here? I'm very interested in the PRS SE for doing live shows. Unfortunately the electronics are disappointing compared to other solutions. For tone, you're much better buying a used USA guitar (Guild, Gibson, Martin) and fitting it with a quality pickup like a LR Baggs or K&K and running it through an outboard preamp. You'll ending up spending about the same and the USA guitar will hold its value better.
intrsoul You said it... I wasn't recording the song or performing it.... I was testing the guitar... my performance of the song is completely besides the point... you're supposed to hear the sound, not wether I play the right notes... I played it with a few students but never practiced it myself, so this is how far I got and that was good enough for me... it has no bearing on the quality of the guitar or the quality of the demo... the guitar is being tested here, not me... there are millions of people playing a lot better than me, but they are not doing demos... what I do well, is demos....
I have the Angelus Custom straight acoustic and love it. Wonderful sounding guitar and a dream to play.
Thanks for the very nice comment.... Thank you so much for thanking the time to create this great video review / demo!

I love this guy's candid honesty! Even at the expense of making fun of himself. :-)
20:20 The "dog bark" haha.
I was sitting here thinking "Is there a dog barking?"
Resurrecting an old vid.....

Really good review - thanks! I have been looking at all sorts of electro acoustics and the PRS sounds great to my ears

Great demo! Informative and really entertaining. Thanks
Nice review. The top is spruce, the back is mahogany. What are the sides made of? Thanks.
Actually, since this is the CUSTOM, back and sides are made of rosewood !
Thanks for the info!
These are truely great! I have the custom and I'm thinking about getting the standard as well.
no, I had played it at a store before. But I order from PRS, because I am an endorser.
This is the only review of this guitar that I've liked. Hearing the piezo removes the hype for me. Good review.
For me the guild cut better into the mix maybe is the dreatnough form but the PRS looks more playable, both have the same strings ? I supposed yes
I dont think the top is supposed to be two different colors. I think that could be a bad book end job. These guitars are getting great reviews anyway so I would like to play one.
Does the Guild have laminated sides and back too?
Wow... I have the exact same headphones and two dogs. Until you said that I thought that was my dog. Lol. That was awesome. Nice demo. So much better than the PRS demos. Can you help me find out what strings this guitar ships with??? im trying to replace them again but i want the same strings it ships with

Tough to say... without having played the Yamaha, which are also nice guitars in general, I shouldn't make a statement about its sound.
Understood... Thanks for your reply. I hope you do more guitar reviews... I really enjoyed this one.
The Yamaha A3R does come with a case and the SRT preamp (with mic modeling) is one of the best sounding preamps at any price.
It's a really great review, you did a great job. One thing bothering me the entire time was that I believe the SE Angelus you're holding there is a Custom, not a Standard. Tuan Quang Do you have the high end cranked up? I haven't experienced this....
Spot on with the germenglish fella!
What's the difference between the standard one and the custom one?
STANDARD has mahagony sides and back and CUSTOM has rosewood.
What's the songs name? The one with lyrics.
Nice! Nice song also! Very well done demo and funny.

Great video!! You're cool man!! I like your style, you're a comedian..
Hi G'day, I just I wanted to ask if you guys have a lefthand version of SE Alex Lifeson Signature Acoustic guitar or any other lefty guitar? Thank you in advance
very entertaining demo I just want to hang out with the guy.
many thanks for your demo. great demo though you made mistakes during your play but who cares :) i just need to know how the prs sounds and you did. thanks again.
p.s: what is your takamine? i find it quite good for the money
The Takamine is a GS330S, but they don't make that one anymore... great guitar for the money...
Danke HP, hab meine gerade bestellt. :-D Geiles Review
Pretty impressed with the inbuilt pickup. They generally sound like total crap. This sounds decent at least. So if you are playing live, where you need to just use the pickup, would sound decent.
Background music for the win
this guy cracks me up
great review and also, this guy's hilarious

Ich bemühe mich!

Thx vielmals für die rasche Auskunft! :-)
what's with the music?
Thank you for this video. Thank you.
Sold! Cheers.
The Guitar sounds very good.A bargain for the money.
Yeah, the Guild sounds great, but for live stuff the PRS is definitely the way to go. That and it's way cheaper. :P
Omg at 20:50 I genuinely thought that my dog was barking downstairs XD
Andreas Moriarty Kommt drauf an, wieviel kannst Du ausgeben? Brauchst Du einen Pickup? Cutaway oder nicht?
When I saw this thing cost less than $800 I couldn't believe it. That said you're funny. Lol. And if saying piezo "pee-a-zoe" is German and English, than I guess it's a German English pronunciation in standard English. :P
Sounds so thin
In my opinion the Guild does not sound as good as the PRS!
You can hear it when you are in the room, the guild projects quite a bit more...
please stop apologizing
you talk too much...
please practice "Blackbird" before demoing again :/
The Guild sounds way better - try an LR Biggs active pickup and preamp - sorted.
He even excused himself for not playing perfect. Why do you have to come here to complain about something the video is not even about..? Don't bother to answer cause I'm not even interested why, I was just pissed.
