    Picked this guitar up a few weeks ago. It has incredible sound. The hardshell case is fantastic as well. Can't go wrong with this guitar!

    I bought this specific color model from Music Villa in Bozeman back in March and I still absolutely love the guitar! For it being a mahogany body, it isn't nearly as dark sounding as I originally thought it would be. Before acquiring this black beauty, I had been on the hunt for a long time and up for contention was the Taylor 114ce and 214ce, the Guild GAD F150, and the Gibson J-15. On a very personal note, I would take this guitar into battle over the guitars I had just mentioned. The neck is comfortable to play, the action was good and unplugged, it wasn't an overbearing cannon making it a struggle to sing over the guitar. Plugged in, the sound was comparable if not a seeming blend of Gibson and Taylor sound, but there wasn't an annoying piercing quack from the pickup. Overall a great guitar for the money and the included case is a nice bonus as well!

    I have had this guitar going on 5 years. It has been my go to... I added a Tonewood (Once you have one you will never want to play an acoustic without it) and I can't ever put it down

    Just for this guitar used yesterday from guitar center for $385. It’s a really great guitar. Plays well and I think if you are out gigging especially outside, getting one of these is worth it

    Impressive. How about an A/B test with the Taylor GS Mini Mahogany with laminate back and sides?

    I think the PRS SE A10E sounds better and appears to be more playable than it's counterparts from Martin and Taylor, particularly in this price range. What a find!

    Great Demo, thanks! Could you all do an A/B between the A10 and the A30? Can't find one anywhere! :)
    Like others have said I'm very surprised at the breadth of tone on this Hog... far more high end than I'm used to hearing in all Mahogany. I've had the pleasure of owning High end Taylors, McPhersons, and a few others, but for $500 currently I'm extremely impressed at the sound of this strummer... and with a bone nut!

    You should do a classical/nylon string guitar

    hi tony, I just subscribed your channel. I have a question. let's compare this guitar to taylor 114ce, wich one has a good sound when plug in? I also recommend you to make a comparison of acoustic guitars when plugged in. thank you

      I've played both the Taylor 114e and the PRS Se Angelus A10e and IMO the PRS plays miles better than the Taylor. Sound is subjective, but in my opinion it sounded better too.

    What strings did you use ? and have you altered anything on the guitar before recording the video like neck curvature or string altitude ?

    just wondering what size guitar would this be classified as? is it in any way comparable to a dreadnought in depth of sound? are the inlays mother of pearl? thanks

      @TheAcousticLetter  7 років тому +1

      It's smaller than a Dreadnought, more like a 00 or 000 size. Not as powerful as a dreadnought but still a very pleasant sound. The inlays appear to be MOP but could also be Paua.

    I bought one of these when they first came out a few years ago. It is the least expensive guitar I think I ever bought and it is still my favorite acoustic. I keep deardario XT 11's on it and it is just a sweet pleasure to play. The tones can border on piano like. I Love it. If you don't have one try to find one. You won't be sorry. I wouldn't sell mine for twice what I paid for it.
