I have yet to see a live video of him playing SE though. Just $5K on up PRS guitars. SE is good enough for me though, I think the binding and headstock are cooler and it really does play and sound fantastic, i bought one.
I'll see what I can do, I didn't do the full song because I did it by ear so I improvised it a bit but I give you what I know. the tuning BTW is CGCgCe.
Jon Strothmann hey man don't know if you're still active or not but really hoping you can either find of already have some kind of tab for Torchwood? I really want to learn it but can't figure too much of it out.. Hope to hear from you soon
Ollie Edwards hey man, I'll be completely honest with you. I don't know of any tabs, I did it all by ear. It wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done nor do I know the entire thing. and for some of the parts, I just played the melodic string. It wasn't my best ear-play, but since you asked, I can give you the tuning: CGCGCe I know it's a pretty low tuning, but once I found out the tuning, I just played it note for note. P.S. thanks for the recognition
Jon Strothmann thanks mate, since then I've actually transcribed most of it now, I've actually spoken to Dave on Facebook and he gave me a few tips about how to play certain parts :)
well to be fair, I believe it was only on the most recent tour that he used the SE guitars. He's not one to gear snob over high end guitars, He has his custom built PRSs that he uses because they're built for his style and sound, but his stock instruments aren't always quite so extravagant.
I just woke up and started watching this video, I was like: "yeah, it's nice, it's a PRS, no way it wouldn't be good". Until I noticed it was a SE, then I was like: "HOLY S... THAT IS SO FREAKING AMAZING!". Great job, PRS. :D
The 2013 SE Angelus Custom was lightning caught in a bottle. It plays and sounds almost exactly like a Taylor 814...a $3000 guitar. I predict they will be worth quite a bit later on...get yours while you can!
I Just got mine and it sounds and plays like heaven! I love it! It's not impossible to find an SE Angelus Custom Acoustic but if you hesitate... it'll be GONE!
rustyfrets.com/products/prs-se-angelus 2 of these just arrived to the shop! They sound even better in person. Super comfortable too. Hard to find a better one at that price point.
I was blown away by the Angelus SE Custom (Rosewood) model he's playing here. The Standard (Mahogany) wasn't as impressive - not as articulate and overall felt cheaper. The Custom with electronics is on my wishlist - can't imagine a better live acoustic.
I have the mahogany ans strongly disagree with you, it isn't as pretty as the Rosewood but it still sounds and plays sweet, has beautiful tone etc certainly worth the £600 I paid.
superb playing Dave!
Great guitar. Nice compositions !
the opening tune is called Torchwood - C G C G C E
the 2nd tune is Once We Were - Standard tuning capo on the 3rd
Saving up to get this amazing acoustic-electric for Christmas. Gonna be sweeet. :)

I played the opening song (Torchwood) for my school talent show and I got second place. I love this guitar
oh please make a tab for this or teach me, i love this song ;-;

Man... That sounded amazing.

PRS SE's (acoustic or electric) are the best deal in guitars today. Bar None.
Excellent job, as always, Dave.
Love my SE Angelus
Sorry .... I do not know the of the album and I will pick up the capos. Do you have a link where I can buy the album with lessons?

It's one of the top videos if you type down "Dave Weiner acoustic." :)
I can't wait for mine to show up. A few more days and she'll be here in me clutches!

bad ass intro!
Vai: "Hey I need you to open for me on this leg of the tour." Dave:"WOW sure! ...hey, do I get paid more?" Vai:"No."
Sounds PRS, looks PRS, it IS a PRS, but doesn't cost like a PRS. What could be better in life?

get a couple spider capo 1st then buy the album with the video lessons :)
I thought this guy played really REALLY good, then he said Steve Vai and I instantly knew why.
Wait... What? Dave Weiner with an SE? This can't be real... No way. Lol.
A spider capo.
I'm not being mean, but dude, get a stage name for real.
Listen to the music and never mind his name......ass
Lovely guitar. But still, the price is waaay to steep.
